@Valus: Monk or Blademaster. They just need to get armour. No weapons - monk generally doesn't use any, the Blademaster sword is acquired through what seems to be a pretty short quest once you know what you're doing, no commodities for any of their abilities, etc. They just have the standard expenses for elixirs/tonics and salves/balms, herbs/minerals, and inks for tattoos that everybody else has.
Would also say priest is very very low maintenance as well. Just needs armour, can feed themselves, with healing you can use less cures, etc. Pauper priest used to be a very common thing.
And I love too Be still, my indelible friend That love soon might end You are unbreaking And be known in its aching Though quaking Shown in this shaking Though crazy Lately of my wasteland, baby That's just wasteland, baby
@Melodie: Priest also "needs" to get a shield, unless you have the credits to spend on a Shield of Absorption. That's not a major issue, though, considering that shields are pretty light on commodities required, don't take much time to forge, and are generally much easier to get usable stats in. One of the primary problems with Priest is that they can wear the third best armour in the game, which means it requires both more commodities and more time to forge per suit. Factor in that they're also one of the aligned classes, and the ease of acquiring armour starts to drop pretty rapidly as the price of doing so increases.
Druid and Sylvan probably only require armour too, having thought about it some more, so should be added to my previous list. Priest, Apostate, and Alchemist seem like they'd also be pretty light on upkeep, since they only require armour and shield; weapons are provided by their class abilities (rather than needing to buy forged ones) and they don't seem to require any extra commodities to use their abilities. Occultist loses out primarily due to the large time costs that seem to be involved in keeping tarot stocked.
Magi pretty cheap too. Doesn't require armor. (Cast diamondskin + stoneskin) Or weapons, just have to cast staff. Pretty good upgrade to bashing dps as well, from what I have gathered as a general sense.
@Hasar: Magi's cheap in terms of equipment, since you don't have to buy any at all really. I wasn't sure on the time (or gold, if you just want to buy them) investment required for keeping a stock of crystals, though, so didn't want to include it.

In terms of combat i would say Druid cause they never do it.
Eat like a caveman, train like a beast. Champions are not born, they are made.

Ever since Carmain left and the Carmain wannabes gave up trying to compensate with arties to join real combat classes.

How important are venoms for Blademasters? I'm assuming that because Envenom is not supplied in the TwoArts skill, it isn't.
We don't use them at all.

Keeping crystals is easy so long as you're not a rogue. If you're rogue it's fairly costly.
Do Monks need high endurance for their skills?
nevermind.
Actually, judging by the Merentesh stock, since handaxes got bumped 10 speed across the board...
Proprietor: Merentesh.
--------(Item)------(Description)------------------------------(Stock)--(Price)
dagger17999 an obsidian dagger 50 100gp
Dmg: 69; To-hit: 153; Spd: 199
Proprietor: Merentesh.
--------(Item)------(Description)------------------------------(Stock)--(Price)
handaxe18707 a throwing axe 50 200gp
Dmg: 91; To-hit: 180; Spd: 199
Looks like handaxes are the superior choice. The only con is that handaxes can only be thrown.
For a bard, what minimum stats should the rapier be? Is a Soulpiercer required for viable PvP, or will an Eagle's Scream do the job just as well?
Better off going forged.
a 70/150/231 works perfect. I'd like higher to-hit just because mounted serpents and jesters I'll miss once in a blue moon though.
I'm wondering on whats best kind of stats for leather armor.
44+ cutting is 'exceptional', higher is pretty rare but I've gotten as high as 64 once.
@Trey what is a top of the line ringmail stat?
Penwize has cowardly forfeited the challenge to mortal combat issued by Atalkez.
Ignore the second and third sheets, those are WPIPASPM (work potentially in progress at some point maybe)
