My co workers made an overwatch team and joined an Overwatch Tournament at trondelan, a gaming event in our local city. We just reached the losers finals bracket in a double elimination, which guarantees us third place and moneeey. WOoo 25 dollars each. If we win this matchup we get 50 and if we win the last matchup a trophy and 100 so much excite. Especially considering one of our healers dropped out at the last minute and we had to draft in someone who has never played before.

One of the symptoms of an approaching nervous breakdown is the belief that one's work is terribly important
Had the most amazing day at COTA, throughly worth the 12 month wait to sample the first Grand Prix I've attended outside the UK. Weather was amazing, the view we had from turn one on the hill was amazing, Lewis getting the national anthem played was also amazing. I've totally fallen in love with Texas and hope to come back to Austin for another race sooner rather than later.

As a native Texan, I feel like I should point out that most of Texas is absolutely nothing like Austin whatsoever.
As a native Texan, I feel like I should point out that literally nowhere else in Texas is anything like Austin whatsoever. Houston is the closest, and it's still got miles to go.

Too true. But not many places the world over are like Austin. There is a special vibe here that is sustaining even despite the rapid development of the last 2 decades. It's legal for women to walk around topless here and they do, for pete's sake!
Dallas is what we all call "the butthole of texas" and Houston, while literally overflowing with culture, is just 1 massive concrete jungle. The rest of texas might as well be some random wild west movie (the tumbleweeds are real and will fok your car up royally). Austin is definitely where it's at.

San Antonio isn't that bad, but it heavily benefits from being 90 minutes away from Austin.
Had to go to the time warner office to exchange a faulty box, ended up getting a new modem for 50% faster internet (from 20 mb/s to 30 mb/s, but I actually get 36 mb/s) and now we're paying $80 a month less than we were before. I don't even know how this happened, but the difference is very noticeable.
80$ less o_O how much does internet cost there. I am paying roughly 28 dollars a month for 100/100 fibre or I would if I didn't work for the company that provided it

I pay $61 a month (including fees and taxes) for 100mb, with a 1 TB datacap. My last ISP wanted $60/month (before fees and taxes) for 20mb and no datacap.
My biggest, and youngest parrot is getting chatty. She's one year old now! I wanted to share the three minute video from this morning, but it's an mp4 and the site won't let me.

TL;DR today was amazing.
