There were a lot of people who gathered for the opening ceremony of the Seleucarian Games, and there was a lot going on, but this part stuck out to me. To provide context, crates of candles, specially made for this ceremony, and were being lit from each other.
Arin holds her lit candle towards Cooper, smiling.
Not sure if he noticed or was playing the stoic Mhaldorian, but was great to see the gesture.
Fifteen minutes earlier, she called Deziny a "trigger-happy pirate" and refused to give her a lift over to the event because she doesn't fraternize with enemies.
And also, I loved that whole thing. I loved that it happened. I loved that so many turned up, and I loved how the whole thing went down. Bravo! This is the kind of stuff that makes Achaea so damn addictive.

If the shoe fits... kidding, kidding! If Deziny pays her fine she'll take her anywhere in Meropis she wants to go and give her some tea and flowers while she's at it, but pirates have a special place in her grumbles. Taking after Aunt @Laedha ?
This was a really promising start to the games, it was lovely to see people from all over participating. There was even a stray Targossian, which was kind of interesting. I can't wait to see the upcoming events!
For the first time ever, in all my years of playing Achaea...
Lightning-quick, you jab a plump harlot with a Scimitar of Hawks.
You have scored a CRUSHING CRITICAL hit!
You have slain a plump harlot retrieving the corpse.
You have learned a new Attainment ability: Dragonhood.
Your soul cries out in ecstasy as it reaches new heights of power. You have advanced to level
99.
You have completed the Ashaxei's Brood resolution! Congratulations!
You just received message #490 from Achaea.
You just received a group of 15 mementoes!
You have reached the illustrious level of Greater Dragon
Grats, but you could use my actual name next time...
hey, it's not my fault you didn't have your nametag on, or have your name tattooed across your chest... I didn't recognize you without your Evil face on.
I don't really post here, but my friend I found this log funny just cuz I was being super shy and had to psyche myself up to go west. Anyways. Here's what happened to me today.
(Party): You say, "Hnngh Jurixe is like."
(Party): You say, "Right over there."
(Party): Person says, "But?"
(Party): You say, "Cant see her."
(Party): You say, "Hidden."
(Party): Person says, "You want to RP with her, you mean?"
(Party): You say, "Yeah apparently shes pretty cool, but she's not in my room."
Narrowing your eyes, you squint off toward the west.
Drake Gloom. (indoors)
A runic totem is planted solidly in the ground. An obsidian eye sigil is here. A logosmas stocking
has been hung here, awaiting gifts. A crimson orb circling its brow, a Khaal Theurgist floats here
surveying the surroundings. There are 4 Blackrock clerics here. A sigil in the shape of a small,
rectangular monolith is on the ground. Insid'ari Ailea, the Ebon Adjutant is here, shrouded. You see
a sign indicating there are WARES for sale here.
You can see no further.
(Party): You say, "Fuck it yolo."
You beckon to a dirangi cub.
A dirangi cub scampers happily toward you and rubs up against your leg.
You have slain
Underlord Seroth, retrieving the corpse.
You have learned a

Its been a long time coming but I'm finally a dragon. I decided to burn through the hunting before the XP race began to avoid the traffic. Thanks for all the congrats messages. Now I have a whole new tree of skills to analyze and ask about.

Put a lot of what I learned from a forum thread I posted earlier today into practice. Stabby Boi came back with a vengeance and got me, but I managed to hold him off long enough for the dragon with me to chomp down on him. Started talking with serpents in my house to learn how to become a more effective snake hunter. That's gonna be tough, but fun.
Also, summoned my inner Ethan Hunt and along with @Khalyon and @Layta, we snuck into Hashan, pilfered some warhammer proficiency for me, and snuck back out before getting ganked. That was some adrenaline pumping stuff right there, and man was it fun.
Also, Hashan, for you guys, thanks for not putting a guard stack on Geld so that when a poor dumbass like myself that's enemied to your city needs warhammer proficiencies, he at least stands a chance of getting them. Also, I did not smudge your totems. I merely patted them. They were good totems and doing a good totem job.

One more done, just in time for the XP events!
You Sir, need to calm down.
We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.
Hello forums! Today I decided to participate in the xpevent because why not! Well ... because I got killed five times haha. I admit I was bummed at first but then found out you lose no experience plus it led to some great conversations that I’m still processing.
So, there was a threeway fight between Aegosi (triton) raiders, Kashari raiders, and Azatlani headhunters. First round was typically bloody, second time around was bunch of deathsights and then...
Agad, an Aegosi raider shouts, "Again?!"
Earys, an Aegosi raider shouts, "You think you'll get away with this a second time?!"
An Azatlani headhunter shouts, "Yes."
So in my mind, Azatlani headhunters are Mhaldor repeatedly jumping into raids to steal tanks now. >_>
Synthus is relatively low on the totem pole of "who the hell is this guy?" in terms of IC importance, but because there is so much going on, there is no shortage of need for volunteers. Yesterday I was in a meeting for a committee in Cyrene, provided a bit of a security detail, scribed a bunch of stuff for @Keorin, and might become a volunteer for the Selucarian Games. It's been really nice to be busy and to have something to focus on besides slamming together a combat system.
On top of that, I've been slowly moving Synthus toward speaking his mind a bit more and speaking from the heart about how he feels on things. Recently that's been ramping up, and after a particular event occurred yesterday and some discussion abounded on CT, he made a statement that I thought would have been unfavorable, and considering @Neraeos weighed in and was present too, I wasn't sure if he was about to get zapped or not.
Instead, there were a number of people that reached out to him individually, telling him either "well said", "couldn't have said it better myself", or other similar praises. From an IC perspective, you guys made a tiny little leezard happy and have been helping to build up what was pretty much priorly non-existent self-esteem. From a player perspective, you guys are just great.
@Synthus If you're gonna volunteer to help Keorin out, I'd do so sooner rather than later. Most things take a decent bit of planning and the games are going to be over sooner than you think.

Already have! Sorry, re-reading my post, my wording made it seem like I'm sitting on the fence wondering if I should help or not, but that's not the case. I already checked the IRL event times and passed what events I'd be available to help out with to her. Also wrote the draft for the news post about the design contest, I'll be collecting the designs and collating them for judging, and I wrote a denizen letter too.
I think there's a little more top-level logistics going on though before anything gets finalized and events/duties get delegated. So for right now, I'm an on-call scribe, which I'm rather enjoying.
Led Ashtani against Targossas in Jaru. Was really fun.
Props to both sides for fighting it out. I had a blast.
The Divine voice of Twilight echoes in your head, "See that it is. I espy a tithe of potential in your mortal soul, Astarod Blackstone. Let us hope that it flourishes and does not falter as so many do."
Aegis, God of War says, "You are dismissed from My demense, Astarod. Go forth and fight well. Bleed fiercely, and climb the purpose you have sought to chase for."

Proprietor: Insid'ari Nylian Seren, Unholy Chancellor.

(Party): You say, "-heavy breathing, pretends to shop-."
You have emoted: Cecelia dips in a polite curtsey.
With evident regard, Ailea makes the sign of the Seven to you.
You pay 8000 sovereigns and receive groups of 500 magnesium chips.
You store 500 magnesium, bringing the total in the rift to 712.
You have stored everything in your rift that you are able.
(Party): You say, "-buys minerals even though she uses herbs-."
Ailea says to Jurixe something unintelligible.
(Party): You say, "-pretends to just notice Jurixe-."
Comprehension flashes across your face.
You curtsey respectfully before Jurixe.
Ailea says to you, "Greetings."
Jurixe flicks a glance at you briefly, before giving you a slight nod.
(Party): Person says, "Rofl."
(Party): You say, "Hahaha."
You smile sheepishly and stare at your feet.
You quietly ask Jurixe in a wary voice, "You are one of the founders of the Restoration, yes?"
Comprehension gleams in Jurixe's eyes, and she nods once more, eyeing you with renewed interest.
Jurixe says to you in a low, silken voice, "I am. Why do you inquire?"
(Party): You say, "Omg ITS HAPPENINGGGG."

Guess I live here now.
"Hey what's this rock, I better touch it"
A single inanimate rock with sharp edges: half the playerbase.

You have emoted: Taryius lowers his head only slightly towards Tlalaiad.
