If we have to rp paying laborers to bring wood and stuff to us, I am going to rp being a Greater Dragon and then lift all of the wood and stone and what not myself in 1/1000th of the time.
Nothing Erikarn said has failed to come up ad nauseum in IC, OOC, and in-between conversations. All the damn time. We're already in IC negotiations with dwarven clans for architects and labor, @Kakotas and others have done extensive geological surveys of all sites being seriously discussed, and pretty much no one expects to have a whole new city plopped down on them
I hope Team Good doesn't have a city for a looooong time.
...is how I read that. Seriously, it does take time to build a city, but not the years and years as in real life. We have dragons. We have magic. It should make sense IC, not OOC.
Sweet. I'm glad that it's happening. I was just going on what I saw in the thread.. but if a city magically appears out of nowhere, I'm going to be sad.
I found the 'we have to build where there is a good amount of natural resources such as lumber and rock' absolutely ridiculous and it was very frustrating to be ignored when I attempted to bring up that it was irrelevant.
Re: you have 10+ active dragons who can lift tens of thousands of pounds at once and cross the entire continent in seconds, it doesn't matter where the materials came from.

Honestly, @Cooper, that never genuinely occurred to me, and I never actually heard you bring that point up. It makes sense, and I wish you'd been more persistent. Gave up too soon.
I'm not sure if someone already gave an update... but can a refugee take me up to speed with what's happening/being planned so far for them? I haven't been able to log into my ex-shallamese alt, was so busy during the holidays.

Ah, that is why in Achaea we have been seeing cities appear left and right on Sapience..oh wait.
I think at least a little bit of time RP should be considered :P.

I think half a month is a long enough RP time. If I see Deucora announce the birth of new shallam over the weekend, it would be a pretty acceptable duration of refugee time for the refugees. They could tie it up with an event, which I am sure they will.
Me and Neraeos are working on breaking he magics that keep Arcadia afloat. We can't dictate where it will eventually crash down to Sapience, but you guys can have it after we kill all the atavians infesting it.

To make it easier for you guys, just skip to the killing the atavians. We can bear with the horror of living in a mobile floating city-slash-fortress.
As said before there are already discussions in place at high levels in the governance of the refugees. It's been a major concern. I hadn't approached Eleusis yet because the location hadn't been decided. Quite a bit of this is waiting on little bits of detail that are out of players hands.
(Blades of Valour): He just has that Synbios Swagger enough said. (Blades of Valour): Draekar says: "Synbios if sunbeams sparkle off that I'll kill you where you stand."
(Party) Halos says, "Disbar?" (Party) Draekar says, "You know here we have disbar." (Party) Draekar says, "And over there we have datbar."
The part I don't get is that you guys could clearly overpower Hashan in ten minutes flat and they have Occultists. Why can't you just take their city? It's not like they're using it for anything important at the moment.

We don't have dala'myrr.
EDIT: Oh wait, you said take the city, not destroy it.
@synbios speaks truth... @Tanaar oh the cleansing rituals that would have to be done to that place... You'd be sitting there holding incense for the next 300 years....

I'm searching for something like "cleansing the ____ alone would take fifty year," but I can't think of anything in Hashan notable enough.
House of Delights, perhaps.
What I don't get is people who don't primarily play Shallamese asking to be kept up to speed on refugee activities.
Subdivisions, obviously. The majority of times I 'visited'(read: evaded into) the place, I've never seen a single soul in there, save for Kaethryn. But when I fullsense, the majority of known sexalts are in (house)-tagged locations. Would actually be ironic if the cleanest place is the House of Delights.
Imagine an L4D-esque invasion of mudsex-crazed alts:
Kaethryn: Dahling, what are you doing here?
Synbios: Sorry, ma'am. The infection of sexalts has spread to Hashan and I need a safehouse, free from the stench of carnal activity and decadence.
Kaethryn: Dear, this is the House of Delights. I think you're looking at the wrong place.
Synbios: That's odd. -pulls out a scanner-like device- This device has not detected any X-rated activity in this location for the past century or so. If calculations are correct, this place is quite literally the cleanest place in Hashan.
Kaethryn: I...I know. -goes upstairs and sobs-
Synbios: ...Weird lady. Anyway, time to rearm. -looks at the pile of infiite ammo that magically appeared in the corner-
Voices from outside: YOU HAVE STARTLED THE WITCH! RUN! RUN! OH CRAP YOU HAVE ALERTED THE WHORDE!
@Synbios wrong probably. I had to clear out one of our newbies and another unsavory character from that place in Hashan with the dominatrix when I was a novice aide in the Merchants. Yuck.

I did say 'majority of times', though, so I guess it's just my luck that I hardly see them in the HoD.
Seriously, guys? Hashan has it's fair share of idiots like every city, but it's really not a fraction as bad as people like to say. These constant, drawn-out "Hashan doesn't exist" jokes are seriously getting old. I was really surprised how much I liked it once I found a good RP circle, and I'm pretty sure the same can be said of any city.
Personally, I like it a lot more than I ever liked Shallam.

It's an interesting story. Those are largely the reason people play.
I think my comment was primarily in response to Tarkanian's above, asking for updates. I certainly understand why one would be curious about what's going on, just not why you would expect to be kept up on the internal developments, rather than waiting for the in-game manifestations that your character would see. I understand being curious about what's going on, I just wouldn't ask people to fill me in, ooc, on the deliberations behind the actions my character will eventually see in game.

Nope, we're just sitting in New Hope eating crumpets, waiting for Daddy Deucalion and Mommy Aurora to build us a city.
Edit: Actually, can I have the ones with the virgin blood back? Any idea how hard that is to come by in Achaea?
I think at least a little bit of time RP should be considered :P.
