Was feeling pretty gloomy this past weekend, ended up sparring people for like 5-6 hours straight on a random whim. Cheered me up a lot - thank you to everyone who indulged me, and have offered so much helpful advice in the past!
Still feeling very on the fence about DWC, but I'd feel bad not continuing some more after people have spent so much time helping
Quick set of raves because the last few days have been fun, and I'm moving across the state today, so depending on how Comcast treats me I might be back tonight, or next month.
@Farrah@Atalkez@Etheros@Xaden for their usual leadership and rallying ability. @Vhaurin@Sibold for cheerfully jumping into the fray and dying on repeat despite being newcomers. @Jhui@Dunn@Mizik and team Ashtan in general for demonstrating how much more work I have really have to do.
I'm tearing up a little just thinking about writing this, and I never come on forums but I'm hoping you see it.
@Aurora, you helped me find a place where I could truly be myself and have fun, as you did for so many other people. I can tell you with absolute certainty that you are solely responsible for a large number of people that chose to join Targossas, and for good reason. I've spent countless hours, days even, over the years with you and every one I remember with absolute fondness.
I've never seen anyone, Divine or player, that cares so much about the little people. You've taken people who've lost all hope, @Daeir, and reinvented them, you've given so many people something to look forward to when they log in. But with me specifically, you were everything.
I'm behaving like a crying child now and I honestly have no idea what I am going to do from here on out, and I'm not even sure if you'll see this, but I want you to know that everything you gave Micaelis from when I joined to now is entirely responsible for who I am today. It has been my greatest honor to lead your order and I will miss you with all my heart.
I hope you come around sometime to say hi. I'll save some cake ready and the font of Truth moved in your honor.
I'm entering my 12th year of playing, and I can honestly say I've never had the opportunity to interact with any Divine like @Aurora. I won't spend too much time echoing what @Daeir and @Micaelis already stated, but she really was just the best part of the game. She made the order (and the city, and the house) a dream to be a part of. She breathed an incredible amount of life into the game. And it's probably safe to say that pretty much anyone who interacted with her was the better for having done so.
Thank you, Rory. You were the best aspect of the game and the best divine I ever saw, not to mention the most kindhearted and encouraging influence possible (and sorry again for bailing).
The Aarashi were informed via post that Lady Aurora has ass to kick on other planes (or something, I didn't read it) and that her attentions were finally turning away from our plane.
tl;dr Rory is going dormant or something, after having been active (and fucking wonderful) since Targ was founded in 2012/2013.
Aodfionn pretty much nailed it. And obviously it's hit quite a few people quite hard, but of course real life is more important than anything in game and we all hope that she, the player, is happy and better off and well and all the good things one could wish for someone as lovely as she is.
He is a coward who has to bring two friends as backup to jump people hunting.
Rave to Targossas last night for not being twats. They came in with a small force when I was logged in on my phone with Lylith, and a few slaves being the only other people in Mhaldor. Had fun bantering back and forth with @Xaden in yells (and throwing an atlatl which was about the most dangerous I could be), and after I dove into the group doing the only SnB combo I have an alias for in that capacity they got the right impression and withdrew. Sorry I didn't make it more fun, guys!
We weren't even going to. But Lylith & Remilia ran away after smudgin totems. So shenanigans ensued.
Then she kept dodging in-and-out of Mhaldor throwing flasks of crud at us so we just decided to waltz in. It ended in a monk telepathy battle, and after Remilia went splat, and you (@Trey) went splattererer. We left.
Then we had a few shenanigans with Lylith, and I taught @Narga a decent amount of Tekura and what they were doing wrong! (And in turn, found out a neat trick, myself.)
Been moping around trying to figure my place out in Achaea recently, and decided nothing changes by itself. So I started looking into what got me hooked way back and had a good talk with Talamond about Lady Mithraea and the old gods in Shallam. Nostalgia setting in and giving me a direction I think I might like to go.

@Frederich Thanks, that was really awesome! Learnt alot and you gave me much to think about in regards to the monk tactics. I'll keep working on it when I can, and maybe some day in the distant future I can return your knuckle sandwiches ;P
Another rave for @Kayeil. I'm gone quite a bit trying to hunt my way to dragon but she's quite patient! Not to mention does a fantastic job of running the shop we've came to call ours. That shop would be a mess without her! Continuing to learn more and explore new options to enjoy Achaea every day. Never a boring day with her and for that I'm thankful.

I'm having a blast, and you contribute a lot to the shop that keeps it being so successful, so thank you.
I don't really want to target this at anyone in particular, but I'm absolutely sure they know who they are.
You were responsible for so much of the fun I've had with Daeir, from everything from character formation to the little things, and while we only really ever worked together properly for a relatively short period of time, I remember every interaction we've had with a great fondness, as something that really brought Achaea alive for me. I'll probably never forget any of it.
Thank you for everything, and I hope that you really, truly and earnestly enjoy whatever it is that you choose to do.
Happy @Silas pastebin of this is still around. Sucks that I'm the only active one left (and not that active to boot) @Darroth@Draekar. At least we didn't noob it up and fail on the beheads.
It's late, too late actually at three in the morning as I log off from the longest time I've been in the realms for quite a while. I owe it all to the wonderful members of the Shield both old and new. It hasn't been too often that I'm reminded of why I fell in love with the game in the first place, or why I continue to stay in Cyrene and my house despite times when I feel the desire to try out the cool toys other cities seem to have. I have been thinking of leaving the city and striking out to find something new because I felt a disconnect with those I surrounded myself with. But now closing my client is the hardest thing to do because I want nothing more than to continue chatting with my house mates.
I think I'll be applying for security aide and making my presence more known among our ranks. So often I see people preaching to be the change you want, and I realized now is the time for me to take that advice and see where it leads.
It was simple slice of life, getting drunk in a brewery and reveling over house deeds and chatting about politics. Nothing large scale, no world events, no blood racing combat antics..just camaraderie and conversation.
Someone sneakily edited and updated the baalzadeen description, and I'm pretty stoked. The old descriptions were (I believe) the original when the class was introduced, and huuuugely out of date, so its fantastic to see them get bit of TLS (tender loving suffering).
The form of this vermillion-hued daemon looms, exuding palpable malice and doom. Pupil-less orbs, as dark as the pits of the Abyss, promising unnamable horrors to all around it. Tufts of thick pelage cover its chest, and peregrinate down its abdomen to the scraps of a grungy, stained loin cloth. Bleached white spines of bone jut from the daemon's shoulders and run the length of its taut, herculean arms to culminate in wicked talons that drip a foul substance. Bone extrusions continue from the creature's shoulders, down its back and tail, ending in two large curved spikes, ready to lance any being brought to bear against it. Its lips pull back in rictus across the canid face, revealing row upon row of razor sharp needles embedded within its massive maw.
A Baalzadeen looks to be crushingly strong.
He has 100% health remaining.
He weighs about 1200 pounds.
He is loyal to Melodie.
And I love too Be still, my indelible friend That love soon might end You are unbreaking And be known in its aching Though quaking Shown in this shaking Though crazy Lately of my wasteland, baby That's just wasteland, baby
Have had a few new (old) Dawnblade around during the day time lately, and they've made it lots of fun. Rave for @Baenor and @Mazirak. @Omor gets no rave cos he fucked off to Germany and hasn't been murdering people with me this week.

Trapped in quote on mobile, too drunk on German beer to argue. Murder will re-commence in one week.

Having some time to meet and roleplay with people new and old - some I never knew actually did RP - has been very exciting and reminded me of how much I love it. I'm so excited to discover the thought people put into their characters and learn something new about them through interaction. While I do love grand story arcs, slice-of-life RP fills in the blanks and gives the world colour, especially as a Mhaldorian. I hope those who have been interacting with me have been having fun, too.

So went and applied to Mhaldor to spice things up a bit in game, giving the whole evil Schtick a good work out (he he he). So far the interactions have been amazing, and definitely a good positive step forward. Although I'm prepared for my death by player count to skyrocket, I'm hoping it'll turn around and let my player kill count rise as well in return (lets be serious though that poor thing will tick up at about the speed of an old man driving his old chevvy down the fast lane).

The funny ones are when Aegoth starts sending you random recruitment offers.
- (Eleusis): Ellodin says, "The Fissure of Echoes is Sarathai's happy place." - With sharp, crackling tones, Kyrra tells you, "The ladies must love you immensely." - (Eleusian Ranger Techs): Savira says, "Most of the hard stuff seem to have this built in code like: If adventurer_hitting_me = "Sarathai" then send("terminate and selfdestruct")." - Makarios says, "Serve well and perish." - Xaden says, "Xaden confirmed scrub 2017."
Getting all my raves out in one post. Forgive the wall.
@Boosteya, @Mathilda, and @Ailea: I love our conversations, and I hope someday I can make Tala half as interesting as you are.
All of Mhaldor. You guys are awesome. I never get tired of @Aegoth's banter during raids, or @Proficy lines like "She is not a 'librarian'. She is the Confessor of the Seven."
Ashtan, for giving me a reason to continually improve my group combat. My scripts evolve after every skirmish, and I look forward to absolving you all someday.
@Rangor, for giving the character of Eleusis a cool, eco-terrorist edge. Quit defiling when I'm writing things.
@Asmodron and @Ehene. I don't interact with you guys much in-character, but you've influenced mine from a distance.
All of Targ, but specifically: @Torinn for keeping me addicted. @Elipise for being the most hard-working, least charming siren I've met. @Laniara for always having my back and letting me in on all the Cool Stuff. @Daeir, @Halos, @Greys, and *cough* @Aodfionn for regaling me on the old culture, which I'll never get enough of. @Xaden, @Magenta, and @Illaren for being fun, exciting people in general. @Farrah for being a fantastic leader and letting me run amok in my city role. @Deucalion for being believable, and sending chills down my spine every time. And of course, @Aralaya, for talking to HR1 Tala and drastically changing his course.
Also, whichever Invisible Sky Person added that beam of light and fire at the end of our Festival ritual: Thanks. That was really neat.
