Messaged @Tecton on my lunch break asking if we could take a look at two bugs with a few of the island talismans once the promo dies down. Crossbow now does damage, and all accomplished before my last break.
    Anything on the wings?
Not yet, but I'm sure they'll get to it when there's time!
Out of curiosity, what's the issue with the wings?

I was told by Anytus that you're supposed to be able to get to island clouds FROM the islands, but currently they only function from the mainland.

I wish Chenubian wings worked like that. :(
  • And they don't stay for three+ hours!

Still get complaints because we don't bring few enough people and use 'lame' tactics like ret or beckon, lol :( Or that we don't stay stationary when guards are being moved onto us.
  • If there is one thing that is certain whenever it comes to raids and fighting it is that all sides will:
     1) people will bitch about numbers
     2) people will bitch about tactics
     3) people get raving mad angry if they loose a fight.

You didn't win if you don't brag/trash about it afterwards.

This is why I'm planning in triggering heartseed kills to be followed up with a nice fem teabagging.
  • The more ret traps are used, the more I'm gonna bring guards along.

Is that the same as going to the gym is pointless if you don't put it on Facebook afterwards?

Instead of getting better as a team, just push that win button huh?

    Terrible mentality.

Penwize has cowardly forfeited the challenge to mortal combat issued by Atalkez.
  • Thank you for the lovely insight.

I forgot #4 the other team always expect you to play by their rules.

Eventually you learn to ignore the hidden rules and play in a manner that makes sense to you and take the precautions needed with regards to guards, worldburn, retardation. Some use it, some don't.

ffs, you called guards? Why? They were sitting in retardation. Stop being afraid of it. They weren't propping and the other entrance had no retardation and just an icewall blocking it. I'd rather just not defend than call guards.

    -1 for Jukilian.

You start calling guards everytime you don't like someones tactics?
It's a good thing that this is exactly what happened. Wait nevermind, it wasn't.

    1) Mhaldor comes in, instantly sets up ret trap with monk/frozen ground etc.
    2) Aegoth kills half his group, we kill the rest.
    3) Mhaldor leaves, say they'll be back. They don't come back. Sanction ends.
    4) ~10 minutes after that, they decide to come back when 1/4 of the group has already left.
    5) They entrench, again, adding another monk to the mix. 1/2 the remaining group already bored of waiting so long, so they leave. So now down to about 1/3 the size of original group. Still sitting in ret with ghands/monks. No dragons, no tramples, no way to even prone people even aside from sweepkick from a single monk.
    6) Jukilian comes around, we all decide we can't be fucked because all they're doing is sitting in said room trying to radiance people.

Didn't even call guards, he was stationing them. They decided to leave before he could do anything with them.

Cool story. Calling guards once (twice if you count the shithouse raid you guys did) out of the 11-ish times we've been raided this week, woopty fucking doo.

Take it how you like, but for months now Hashan has been trying to get better and fight people and learn.
    True, trying and succeeding

You start calling guards everytime you don't like someones tactics? That's counter-productive to Hashan getting better offensively and defensively.
This is a strawman argument. Despite Jukilian's curt rationale, this does not represent the Hashani playerbase's mentality.

It will also reduce the number of raids you do get, and of those you do get - you'll have a larger proportion of guard raids than regular raids.
    Potentially true.

Ret is counter-able. Guards aren't without some major pre-planning. If you want to lock yourselves into a stigma of "they're just gonna call guards", you're not gonna like the outcome!
One group should restrain themselves because another cannot?

     It's pretty simple, really.
Maybe if you oversimplify the situation and paint a caricature of the object in question.

Just an fyi, I don't really care what people think about my posts. Messaging me or saying something to me IG is just going to get completely ignored.

  • I still don't mind when someone messages me and says hey, this is not gonna work out. This is not fun. Okay, we can go. Not trying to dump on someone's parade. But the sanction ended because Ismay was trying to fix a script to see party chat. No big deal it just took a bit. And moving locations because you stationed guards is -not- some cheap move. It's about all you can do.

Dont want ret? Kill the Mage. Drop a cube sigil. Bring another Mage to dampen. Destabilize addiction and beckon is out of our spot. There are options. Aren't you a Mage @Jukilian? That might be wrong but I had thought you were.

Point is, we had a very small group to raid with and retardation was one of our few viable tactics against your group, if only basing it solely off the amount of snipers and dragons you have for damage.

I was not happy being told we were being lame because I don't think we were. We were just raiding like regular raiders would. But all you had to do was say so and we left. It was just a bit frustrating to be scolded, instead of simply asked.

I guess I'm glad people feel like they can use me as a mediator, but sometimes being talked to like my crew and I are just the most god awful thing that ever happened to a raid is ... Yeah it's just fristrating. But what do I know? All I do is stand around and complain about everything apparently. Right, Ryzeth?

Although I was a fan of the Shamen, Ebeneezer Goode does really represent a low point in their career, artistically. Of course, it was a big boost to their bank accounts, and that of One Little Indian. The Jolly Roger Instrumental is a good little acid house track...

I was thinking more of the Stay Up Forever type labels. However, I think we're a little off topic..
