Hashan continuing to take a hardline approach to pulling itself out of the mire. Also amusing to see Eleusis and the Serpentlords working together.
lol, what?
He was referring to Evvi cancelling wormholes and Ryuke jumping me and Vayne while we were hunting her. (Evvi + Ryuke tickles)
Aurora says, "Tharvis, why are you always breaking things?!" Artemis says, "You are so high maintenance, Tharvis, gosh." Tecton says, "It's still your fault, Tharvis."
Went to do my city tasks, and one of them required me to go to the Red Square. Now, this is how I knew I was too drunk and tired to be trying to do all this. I walked to the city Laboratory and stood there, like an idiot, just waiting for something to happen for a good few minutes. There was even someone in there transmuting at the time.
Houses in Mhaldor and everyone that worked on them. I popped into Legates and loved what I saw. The task structure was better than anything I saw in the old houses.
Then curiosity got the better of me and I peeked into the Insidium. I was floored. They took the new framework in Mhaldor and ran with it in a way that was just beautiful. Legates integrated it nicely into a traditional structure, Insidium embraced it completely and gave us something truly awesome and new.
I think we are still used to Houses being responsible for training is into functioning members of Mhaldor. Insidium leaves that task over to the schools and focuses its own energy on making you part of itself and its ways, giving you amazing flexibility under a beautifully constructed banner of ideals . And I think that is what is drawing everyone to it. To be fair, Legates are damn close to that level and I can not wait to see how awesome they are gonna be when they embrace that same approach.
What I found most interesting is that Mhaldorian are a traditional bunch, I really was expecting them to prefer the more familiar approach, but they all lapped up the completely new take on progression.
That was gonna be the fun part! Figured since I couldn't get to the vendor I should at least do something interesting while I was there, so decided to come say hi lol
Belated rave for all of Targossas and @Ernam doing soooo much better as a leader and leading us to kicking ass.
@Daeir for being awesome and oddly more approachable than I thought. Hope some day to be Caefir along side you. You are truly an asset.
@Rip heheh...our convert conversation was interesting to say the least .. was sitting there at the computer thinking..What the hell am I trying to convert the 512 year old founder of the Shadow snakes? I must be nuts. Look forward to future conversations. Our friendship is fairly awkward. Heh
@Daslin for being an ass hole and having a yelling match in Delos with me. You made me laugh.
@Bluef for inviting me to the rite for passing the title of Seer to another.
@Cadarus for some weird debates with his very bored homunculus. Morality debates and the question of what a soul is and if a homunculus has a soul. Heheh
Carmain and all the other new Mhaldorian House founders putting in the time and effort to handle the chaos that is getting a whole city settled and assimilated into two Houses. I know it can't be easy, so sincerely, thank you.
This whole slew of unofficial Mhaldorian proteges that I got makes me excited about interaction with them.
I didn't really interact much with them aside from raid situations pre-renaissance, but the mentor-protege focus in new Houses has created new opportunities for me to drop in on them for all sorts of interesting interactions.
"Mummy, I'm hungry, but there's no one to eat! :C"
The Institute has been consistently wonderful, despite a bit of downtime due to alchemist being kind of sucky at raids (at range, at least). @Vayne, awesome as he is, has still been one of the key backbones of the organization, and I'm glad to have him here.
That's not to say he's been the only one, as people like @Valentinus, @Azelay, @Eivan, and pretty much everyone in it have given quality stuff while they were here!
At range. In melee we're definitely worthwhile, but getting -into- melee is the issue. Could just be that we're still learning how to counter raids, though.
Really liking the Insidium and the people who made the House possible; thank you for your hard work! Also @Mishgul thank you for a really interesting discussion that got me thinking about a few topics differently. I struggled through it and was a bit bland in my answers but I am glad to have gone through it.
@Mishgul <<<this guy has been balancing this whole renaissance trying to make everyone happy at the same time and I know that's gotta be tough. So props to him.
As much work as I have tried to get done, there were a lot of people pouring a lot of effort into this project. Things could easily have gone smoother, and people really need to how to communicate properly to facilitate this largely OOC implementation of our IC changing of ways but so far things have not been half as chaotic as I expected them to be, and most of Mhaldor has been great taking it all on.
I go out of my way to make sure I talk to the majority of Mhaldorians at least once a week, especially the younger ones, and the generally positive response has been pleasing, and a lot of novices really like dealing with people like Mycen, Milenka, Jurixe, Orzaansyn from the feedback I receive. I'm only repeating the names of the people specifically mentioned by the majority of pre CR2s, and I will always respect people who make time for newbies and nobodies.
There are a lot of people who have put in effort and the founders of each house have all played their roles well. No one is perfect, but everyone has tried in some way. If there is one thing people can improve in, it's probably to realise they should speak in a more specific and direct manner regarding any problems so they can be easily solved, instead of approaching things in an indirect manner which leaves people confused and more prone to just dismiss them.
Achaeans are achaeans though, and you guys would not be half as fun if you weren't all so terrible.

Oh and raves to Valnurana, Tecton and Sartan (and possible Sarapis) for implementing things, their advice, and putting up with our male bovine excrements.

@Jurixe, I'd just like to give you a particular rave at the moment. In the short time that the houses have been established, you have already come up with two of the most incredibly enjoyable and thought provoking exercises I have ever seen in this game. It's seriously such a pleasure to get a chance to be in a house under you. You're a gem.
Seconding Saeva's rave to @Jurixe because you are ridiculously thought provoking and open up avenues of discussion that I previously would not have considered. You're quite the gem, my dear

Got my first lock today! Really pumped, as it's crazy hard to do.

Out with the old, I say, and in with the awesome.

Probably missed some...but..that is all for now
Already being threatened with issues for bug abuse. Figures. I believe the logic is: If it can kill a blademaster a dragon spamming enmesh, it's OP.
edited for @Santar (although not the right thread for a debate)
It was changed a while back for Priests to not have access to weapon venom + chasten + disrupt.
You're circumventing that with handaxe throw, which isn't intended.

Rant: @Aegoth and his conversion attempts.
