The sweltering heat of the forge spills out across the land as the rumbling voice of Phaestus booms, "I want you to know, the Garden reaction to that one is: What?" The voice of Melantha, Goddess of the Seasons, echoes amid the rustle of leaves, "That's the censored version."
(D.M.A.): Cooper says, "Kyrra is either the most innocent person in the world, or the girl who uses the most innuendo seemingly unintentionally but really on purpose."
People in Achaea these days generally seem to give less of a care about (a) "cause" / rules lawyering and (b) experience loss upon death, which has made the game fun for characters like mine who enjoy stirring up trouble with a lot of people at once.
Also yesterday I stole from a young forestal serpent and noted in the logs that he should be converted and when I came back today he was in the Naga! All in all, great day.
Huge raves to Mhaldor with the close of the Crucible, my little project for slave advancement (Public news #19290).
@Aiseiri, @Aegoth, and @Suladan: for working hard, and for genuinely earning promotion to Troni. Aegoth and Aiseiri, for earning HR5 in two and three Achaean years, respectively. I'm not sure if I told you guys this, but when the other HoNs and I decided on the reward for that particular task, it was picked out because it was 'just this side of impossible' to do in three years. Aego, you did it in two.
@Ruth: For prompting the idea, and for backing me up on what proved to be larger than what I think you had originally intended in the first place. You totally could have pulled me aside, and been like, "You know, Niz, I really had only just meant like a single, one-time competition. Maybe two. But definitely not three years." Nope. You ran with it, and I thank you for that.
@Katzchen, @Mycen, and @Orzaansyn: For being fantastic colleagues, and helping Niz in the planning stages, as well as all of the work that you guys put in throughout.
@Alynna and @Harmonia: Being wonderful mentors to Niz, proof reading the cilice design, encouraging me, and putting up with my whining when I got overwhelmed. Thank you.
@Sartan: For making your stamp on the competition via Gack and the slaving.
@Kresslack: For helping me out with that damned points audit last night. How many times did we come up with differing totals, again?
@Morven: A surprising late entry that could have given Aegoth, Aiseiri, and Suladan a run for their money if he had been born sooner. Looking forward to seeing your contributions in the future.
All other Mhaldorians, for either participating, hosting mini-events, encouraging participation, or helping me to keep track of participation. I am much obliged.
I'm a little late on this, but huge rave to the customisation team for the Mayaween portraits. I present their work:
This portrait is of the quarterdeck of a sailing ship, cascading waves crashing over the sides, the sea spray hitting a variety of shipmates that are rushing around the deck to handle their tasks. The bottoms of massive sails are bent by wind, a collection of ropes tightened in order to keep them secure. Standing at the ship's wheel is a rajamalan, around six feet tall, dressed in a fine white dress shirt and black silk trousers. The russet mane is damp, but strong, murky brown eyes watch the surrounding sea with a focused intensity as he shouts an order, fangs glistening. One clawed hand is pointing at something unseen, the other gripping the wheel firmly in place to ensure the ship stays on course. Tawny fur is in slight dissaray from the combined assault of the water and wind, a variety of scars easily noticeable on the bared lower arms due to the glistening liquid. Slowly crawling over the bow of the ship, unnoticed, is a large, tentacled monster seemingly made of shadow, four malicious ruby-red eyes focused intently on the figure at the helm.
On a side note, I hope that isn't a Japanese tentacle monster. Pretty please.
"Faded away like the stars in the morning, Losing their light in the glorious sun, Thus would we pass from this earth and its toiling, Only remembered for what we have done."
@varele and @araris! You guys are amazing aides to trade! We make a good team. Keep up the good work. @branwen for throwing her extra comms at us so we can stock the shop further. @laytron and @rispok for all you guy's guidance and support.
You pay 1000 credits and receive Robes of the Magi.
You pay 500 Bound Credits and upgrade to a ring of Somnustra! You pay 1000 Bound Credits and upgrade to a ring of Lunastra!

Still have about half the credits I had to spend left, just not sure what else I want to buy. May have to bug @Tecton to borrow some items to play with first.
Actually, @Jarrod and I have kept her off the buying drug for a couple of months now. It's a work in progress. I was -pissed- (and happy, obviously) when she purchased that much!
And here I had to choose between an SoA or Amulet of the Will.
Got the SoA. Don't regret it!
I liked because SoA is amazing, but... you posted an Ourania blademaster blade.
Did you.. (
Went back to shaman. (my favorite class, period)
I have a knight alt, I absolutely love swords, I played a knight in Lusternia when I tried it... but it's just not a good fit for Trevize. His life has always been based around magic - my attempts at serpent and blademaster just felt really wrong.
Still have the sword! Pondering what to do with it.

Still good for beheading! Though I guess that's a bit redundant for shaman.

You take a throwing axe from a sturdy iron forge.
It is a one-handed weapon.
Damage: 79 To-hit: 160 Speed: 248
A throwing axe has no venoms or magical effects on it.
Viva la Bluef.
You're so much fun to fight.
