I have to admit, it is pretty hilarious to see Mhaldor and Eleusis actually putting differences aside and agreeing to help one another just to deny the victory of yet another (though im pretty sure they should at least despise each other more than Hashan but eh)
Technically, Mhaldor's a free city. There's Mhaldorians in every faction.
Frankly, I kind of wish I was a free agent too, because fighting with a whole new different team sounds pretty fun.
Technically yes but also Many Mhaldorians are supporting Belladona and when, just now, you see rather than Eleusis' faction (Kemnast) but rather Belladona's faction breaking/attacking another to get territory (Mhalorians + Eleusisans fighting together at that)...then that is NOT mhaldorians in Kemnast faction working with Eleusians, that is both Kemanst's faction AND Belladona's faction working together...which is not a requirement, that is a choice.
You're clearly uninformed, that's ok that's normal. Mhaldor has no allegiance, everyone had the decision to join whatever faction they wanted. Some went Belladona to not be on the same team as other cities, but the majority did not.

Is there any way to get the battlefield mapped, a way to walk to the legion you lost when you died/evaded, or at the very least have a channeled recall option to get them back? It literally gave me a migraine trying to retrace my steps and I passed by the enemy legion at least 9 times, and Alrena a few times before I even found my ogres tucked in a corner. It's super frustrating for me anyways as Bella only has 3 people (Me, Alrena, Levi) so we don't have much.. coverage when we're trying to wage war over a battlefield over 10 other people where every second matters.

To clear this up, since I am part of the "many" (3 people who actually contributed, including myself, two support {i.e yanking, information gathering, PVP}) of the Team Bella. We knew that Belladona's faction was going to lose outright. There was no interest in her faction from the start up. There is no way the 3 active members (including myself) could have competed with the other factions who have a lot of numbers on their side (A LOT).
So in order to survive and not be camped all day (i.e Bleak) we had a non-aggression pact with some factions. We also realize that there is NO way we can defend our territory, as we maybe have 3-4 hours of overlap. In this period we plan, talk, coordinate and execute. But 3 people vs whole cities in a territory battle based on how many people you can have commanding troops. We gonna lose. The Devs have made it reasonable by starting out with 3 beacons (now 5). We could probably of conquered some territory but we would almost always be on the defensive side during peak hours. Offensive during non-peak hours. I have a life and won't be up at 1 am EST dueling it out for territory.
I am not trying to give out our gameplan. We have one. And you probably will see different Mhaldorians helping out different teams for different reasons. But the Mhaldorians you see helping Eleusis/Ashtan have been from the start | are there for the PVP only | didn't make the Sunday deadline and decided to participate anyways.
You are technically wrong by saying "many" Mhaldorians are part of Belladona's team. I won't give any names because I haven't discussed it to make sure it is cleared with them. I liked the event. I joined Bella's Faction knowing we were going to lose. I did it for the PVP aspect. I can attack anyone! It is a perfect opportunity to practice PVP. I honestly didn't think Bella's Team was gonna accomplish as much as we did! It is a great surprise.
You're clearly uninformed, that's ok that's normal. Mhaldor has no allegiance, everyone had the decision to join whatever faction they wanted. Some went Belladona to not be on the same team as other cities, but the majority did not.
You are both incorrect.
Yes Mhaldor has no allegiance, and who the players join is up to them, but frankly the point still stands that city will always come first before faction.
Currently as of this point, the Belladona faction is being supported by several Mhaldorians who, for some reason, seem to be fighting alongside the Eleusians of the Kemnast faction. This isnt the -same faction-, as I have said multiple times now, and thus your original point of "joining any faction they want and can help one another blah blah" is mute.
These are players that decided "screw morales and integrity" and decided based on player-based reasons to join up to hit another team down.
One of you mentioned "non-agreession pacts" why on God's green earth would a faction that will last for a few days, placed in a war that is literally based on "You personally win and get it all or nothing" make non-agression pacts which it seems the players have taken as "group up and beat the others (Not overstating this. This is literally happening right now).
This went from a war of factions to player-driven beatdowns. It went from having meaning and some RP perspective to "PK it cause can". You have no guiding roleplay reasons to be doing 'teamups', only 1 team gets the victory, it isnt shared.
When you beat down the faction you decided to dogpile in a war lasting 2-3 days, what then? One of you has to win. Will you turn on one another? That'll make even less sense than you already are making.
Frankly im honestly hoping for either divine intervention with Gaia or Sartan saying "wtf" or even better, the Faction leaders with Kemnast and Belladona wondering why it's faction is working with the other and insist they (each faction) take glory only for themselves and refuse to share any of the spoils of war (Because like I said...-that isnt even possible-).
It's the Underworld. It's free PK. Who cares about the logic. Mhaldor has nothing to gain obviously by not aligning itself. Eleusis is teamed up with Undead, Targ is working for Z and enslaving people. So where's the logic there, huh?
It's an event that goes until Sunday. Just because you guys couldn't branch out and make alliances before other and smarter people could, Commence the bitching.
It's not whatever probably because you're getting wafflestomped and are currently bitching and used 'It's whatever.' I don't know what you naive people expected. Every FFA had it's alliances, every CTF had its alliances. Now you're in the Underworld with factions going against their morales, working with vampires, of course there's going to be team work. I don't have excuses, I'm just pointing out facts. Sit on your ass and cry, if you want. Or do something outside of the box. Idrgaf, I don't even log in.
There's quite an easy explanation. Hashan was doing really well. Finishing first in two tasks. Since you got a ton of people, there's a big chance you'll end up on top of this war thing as well. The Belladona faction has no chance of winning, so when they decide to take your area who are we to stop them? We actually benefit from it strongly, so when you came to stop them we shot some arrows at you.
/edit: Also, Shirszae made sure our faction has quite a beef with Hashan. Or at least some of the members of the Heartwood Kin do.
Sorry you don't understand what good RP actually is?
As a faction, Mhaldor is not going to swear allegiance to any group because that group isn't Sartan. Pretty simple start. From there, it's deciding which faction is getting a reward that either does not impact us or impacts us the least. At that point, given we as a city hold no allegiance and honestly offering to support effectively random undead <X> isn't exactly something a Mhaldorian cares about breaking unless they're heavily focused on honour. Based on the situation it's also not even allying with Eleusis, it's just not attacking them over you?
You're not a Mhaldorian, you're just complaining because Mhaldor's strategy as a city negatively impacts your faction. There is no mechanical win for Mhaldor as a faction, given the city's RP meaning we're not going to officially pledge we can't get a city reward, so it's just ensuring we as a faction come out as well as we can.
Cascades of quicksilver light streak across the firmament as the celestial voice of Ourania intones, "Oh Jarrod..."
For me, it just all of a sudden went from really fun, because it was quite RP-involved, to frustrating and not fun. At least RP based is how I see it, and am going about it.
Now, it has devolved into, "It's Free-PK down there, so whatever". And that's not fun, and missing the point. Free-PK means there are no player-related, administrative consequences to killing. We all like killing (I think), player killing is great.
But free-PK does not mean all of a sudden RP does not matter, and that given the long history of the lands and where things are at right now, that the ruling council of Eleusis would by any shred of the imagination be seen standing in gravehands with Exusais of Mhaldor, prepping finishers for them and vice versa.
It is fairly whingeable, hence lots of bitching. I hope for Divine intervention too... it's been a fair while since an entire city was destroyed in an RP event. Something similar would be cool
Please bring back fun. Which is always RP based. It's Achaea, not Halo IV.
Proficy is part of the Gerzson faction. Just like Helewys and Nataliia. It was super awkward when they joined and nobody let them do anything at first. I think it actually took divine intervention to allow them to be part of our party.
Except @Gamoneterik this is about the future of the Underworld, the power of the Soulbleed Nexus, and potentially the future of Sapience. Petty rivalries -do- get set aside for this shit, and that doesn't break established RP in any way.
Also, fun being 'always RP based' is the most bs argument for anything I think I've ever seen on the forums.
Actually, the situation seems so unimportant (it's just a power grab) that it's way more reasonable for unaffiliated people to change sides at will. If it was actually important people would be way more stuck to the side they believed was 'right'.

Except it is important, otherwise why would anyone care if the Magisterion had won? Why would the Bloodsworn -force- Targ to associate themselves with Zsarachnor of all things?

@Bleak is spot on. Bella's faction has no chance of winning, there's literally 4 people in the faction who are actively doing things and that's even with timezones making it hard for all four of us to be around at the same time. But, I wanted to give my faction a chance to try this war system out. If that means making temporary alliances with Eleusis that likely won't live to see tomorrow (I saw them eyeing our fresh new territory, those greedy treehuggers), then I'll damn well do it. Just cause we can't win doesn't mean we can't still make a difference! Who knows, maybe tomorrow we'll be siding with Hashan against Eleusis, or Targ.
edit: also, even if Bella's faction miraculously won, there's no reward in it for us. We got nothing to gain or lose, just guts and glory.
also on an ooc level... I didn't want to be an ass. I took Belladonna's faction into consideration with some things I did yes... I refuse to make this event any harder on them than it already is at this point. Now does this mean I won't go after them down the line... nope. Just means I want them to have fun too and get to play with the new system.
