So we're looking forward to a new class. They're not giving us spoilers. Anyone care to discuss theories or hopes of what the new class will be, desired abilities, or just rant about the lack of spoilers?

Ok, we've decided on a change of policy. The new class is going to be a factional class for Cyrene. There'll be a twist in that it'll have nine skills, because they need three sets of the standard three. This'll mean that you have to trans each skill three times to get access to all the abilities, but we figure that's a small price to pay (sorry Antonius, you're probably going to need a new mortgage if you join Cyrene and have it in your next multiclass slot).
Anyway. We're definitely sold on paperwork with a death of a thousand cuts finisher so far for the first skill. Because that's probably kind of edgy for the cyrene playerbase, we're tempering it with the second skill which will be called neutrality. Its basically an entirely defensive skill, similar to healing in some regards in that it let's you eliminate many effects. The trans skill let's you become unenemied to any organisation once a year for free, but we figure that'll be fine if people use it in moderation and strictly for rp purposes.
We're still discussing the third skill, so I'll let that be a surprise. We're pondering something historically themed like zergamancy or dragonbaiting, but I'd rather wait so we can give you accurate information and not get your hopes up unnecessarily.

If I recall correctly, the exact statment given at the time is that it will not be coded in to be faction but if factions should decide to 'not allow' it, that is on them. Quite intriguing.
Err, that's how the lore for a lot of Chaos magic is already explained. The Eschaton Experiment was all about fusing timelines. Ague, Truename, and violet(?) Chaos Ray abilities all warp time around the target. The rest of Occultism--Warp, Tentacles, Transmogrification, etc--uses mana or Karma energy to alter reality in harmful or beneficial ways. Cool ideas and all, but they kinda already exist.
