I've always been jealous of the myriad of ways that Mhaldor gets to execute people. During my brief citizenship there, the highlight of every day was seeing who would get executed, and how.

EDIT: Staying on-topic, I'm sad that I missed the bulk of the attack on Ashtan. Damn classes. :(
My avatar is an image created by this very talented gentleman, of whose work I am extremely jealous. It was not originally a picture of Amunet, but it certainly looks a great deal like how I envision her!

I hear the refugees are taking on refugees? That does not seem quite right to me.

  • Ugh, Babel should take off his arties and try fight. What a noob.
  • Babel's basically the Jesus of Ashtan now - our Lord and Savior.

Ugh, yes, this. I saw this yesterday and was like 'what in the effing hell', told Silas to fix it, and now it is fixed.

  • Where exactly do the ex-Shallamese hang out now? Cyrene?

    Oh @Nellaundra, calm down.

There's plenty who come and sit around in the city, buy supplies, etc. I don't think it's the "main" hangout, though.
And I love too                                                                          Be still, my indelible friend
That love soon might end                                                         You are unbreaking
And be known in its aching                                                      Though quaking
Shown in this shaking                                                             Though crazy
Lately of my wasteland, baby                                                 That's just wasteland, baby

    Silas wasn't involved, actually.

EDIT: Not that we weren't all equally astounded at Achilles inducting random people. I'm guessing it was a miscommunication.

@Halos' avatar change is so appropriate.

Let them drown. Books are for dummies. Incidentally, I can now fish from my house's front doorstep.

  • Why? I'd like to be able to buy eclairs in every room.
  • I agree with Silas, the Admin should not listen at all to what the player base is asking for, instead they should actually take what the players are asking for on the forums and just do the complete opposite. Why should the players have any say in what their experience should be like while playing?
  • Best case, the admins look at the forums and go 'I see what you're hoping for. Here's what we're going to do.'

And then they make something so great that we forget what we wanted in the first place.
  • You're assuming that only former citizens of Shallam have good ideas of what did/didn't work in old Shallam and that only former citizens of Shallam have good ideas on how to improve it, and your assumption is wrong.

It was not a random person. It was an enemy and a blacklisted person. When I asked Achilles, he said no. He openly lied.

Not the right medium to discuss it, but no I did not lie.

  • *sob*. I miss Shai, and not just because she bought my oysters.

  • my one complaint, and it is a very minor complaint, was that he came back immediately after the destruction of the city. I think it would have been neat to have to really wonder exactly how abandoned one has been, as it would have really forced the actual feel of being a refugee. That feeling got a little less extreme when he returned right after the city was destroyed.

I'm way too happy for the event to really care, though

@Nakari: technically, you're still refugees for as long as you don't have a city. And if you read the latest Events post, Deucy said the gulf was "too wide for a mortal to breach, but it was not too wide for an immortal".

So there you go. He was just in time, if you think about it. Probably just got out of bed wearing his tunic, which actually kinda makes him late. :D
