Well Achaea already have Lord Twilight, what would the name of a possible "Lord of Sparkles" be when He's still around?

    You're gonna get smote.
I like my steak like I like my Magic cards: mythic rare.
  • It's time fooooooooooooooooooor:

    *drum roll*

    Lucretus!

    (I spelt it right, right?)
  • And so we return the next serenade. *fingers crossed that it ends this time*

I hope someone will post decent logs of what happens next Serenade, because I am stuck working :(

Can't we drag it out until the weekend? *flutter*

  • Finale please

  • @Sarapis, "you won't regret it" depends on whether you kill my god or not. Since, I've been hoping not to see that since the beginning of the event and totally agonizing over it.
  • This is event is really awesome, and makes me excited about Achaea again (enough to get me to log in for the first time since 2009, probably to the chagrin of a few of my fellow Shallamites).

That said, I have a couple of minor worries about the direction the event is going with regards to Lorielan, and I am not sure where else to voice them. I say minor because, one, Lorielan has been marginal to Shallam's RP and culture for a very long time now, and two, because active (former) Order members approach zero. So, to a certain extent, I can understand why it doesn't really matter too much what happens to Lorielan, as long as the end goal re: Shallam is achieved. It would suck, though, if the event left those of us who might potentially be active again with nothing.

The wording of the Events post makes it sound like maybe Lorielan had this betrayal planned all along, and her time in Shallam was just an elaborate ruse... That would be hugely sucky to those of us that have been close to any of the Lorielans, and would make very little sense given the one-on-one RP past versions of the character with players (myself included). This isn't to say, don't make Lorielan a baddie, that would be fine, as long as it didn't completely wreck the emotional sense of being her follower. Some Lorielanites would go wherever the Goddess does, Shallam be damned. Which brings me to point two: some wouldn't, though, and it would be nice for them if whatever happens gives room for those who followed her to integrate themselves relatively easily into whatever emerges in Shallam.

  • Lorielan betraying Shallam makes perfect sense given her past behavior before she was Te'serra -and- some of her behavior during it.

  • either I missed this or that Sarapis is late with the goods soo sad

Has anything actually happened yet? Serenade is an hour past, from what I know.
The announcement came up after the Serenade an hour or so ago. Next Serenade, 12/3 0:00 GMT.

Given that he posted the Announce after today's Serenade, he meant the next one, sparky. Roughly 23 hours from now, minus about 15.

I'm not disagreeing with that. Betrayal is fine. What would not be so fine is her having this in mind the whole time, given the experiences of her ordermembers.
  • Or all the Shallamese will pray and their prayers will create a new god that kills Bal'met. Haha
  • hmm ok thanks for the explanation Trey

gdi, should I take tomorrow off?!

  • Also, I'm inclined to agree that IT WAS MY EVIL PLAN ALL ALONG wouldn't really go over all that well (I mean, Lorielan doesn't even have the moustache to twirl evilly). That would be expected of Twilight, but it doesn't seem in Lorielan's character, really.

I am interested to see where the Garden goes with her character and personality, though, because she has one of the richest (if not the richest) backstory.

@Trey was amazing last time and kept me updated while I was at work. It was better than waiting for logs to hit the forums and almost as good as seeing it all happen first hand.

I'd just really love to experience all the reactions from people and not only read through the global echoes. I am very intrigued to see how things tie up though.

    Edit: Fixed a typo.
