I finally got 2 things that I've wanted for a long time...
An Aeropress coffee maker (since I don't drink a full carafe of coffee a week, most weeks, and I'm the only one that drinks coffee- less coffee going to waste!)

Well, tomorrow is the big day. Parents are coming over for morning tea. I was mulling over what to serve. Just what does one serve at a coming out talk? Update will follow.
Janeway: Tuvok! *clapclap* Release my hounds!
Krenim: Hounds? How cliche.
Janeway: Tuvok! *clapclap* Release my rape gorilla!
High tea stuff like cucumber sandwiches, cupcakes, lamingtons...preferably rainbow coloured or in purple.
I may or may not have asked my flamboyantly gay friend the way he did it last year for his parents.
"Faded away like the stars in the morning, Losing their light in the glorious sun, Thus would we pass from this earth and its toiling, Only remembered for what we have done."
Serve coffee with coloured sugar cubes. Arrange said sugar cubes into a rainbow on each saucer-plate-thing. Also, 'brownies' may help lessen any tension.
Just saying.
I am retired and log into the forums maybe once every 2 months. It was a good 20 years, live your best lives, friends.
Well, it's done and it went as well as I expected with both my parents telling me that they already had an idea and that as long as I am happy is all that matters to them.

So what did you serve for tea @Berenene?! (yes you can tell my main concern was the food and not the topic).
"Faded away like the stars in the morning, Losing their light in the glorious sun, Thus would we pass from this earth and its toiling, Only remembered for what we have done."

All packed for holiday. Practicing my German (haha. ) for a week in Switzerland.
Minor rant that no Achaea or computer in general, which means no writing.
On the other hand I have been promised 'rewards' for going karate halfway up a mountain. I'm thinking Kosokun Snow might be the best pun I can come up with here.
I had an amazing birthday today, the best I've had in several years.
I was oddly not super excited about my birthday this year, being too preoccupied with planning out stuff for @Vrah and @Xer to do. But I managed to rope in some of my other friends (two of whom used to play Achaea as well!) and the six of us did a road trip down to Melaka.
The day itself started off with me waking up at 4.30 am, half an hour before the CTF, and then getting invited to join - I hadn't planned to, but popped in just to say hi, and everyone knows you never just pop in to Achaea. I ended up having a ton of fun, and then rushed off to the road trip!
We didn't get lost, but the ride down was probably a comedy skit all in itself with how abruptly we were yelling out directions, the various heated conversations (including one where 'RND DOES NOT MEAN SHUFFLE' was yelled), and the increasingly dramatic analogies about how hungry they were - but we did get there in the end. And it was so hot and I was worried about how long I'd be able to last, because I generally end up with terrible migraines after long outings, but we ate way too much food and walked under the sun and took pictures and I basically had an amazing time.
Then we came home and my parents had made dinner enough for about an entire football team with all the things I love eating, and at the end there was a red velvet cake with jelly animals :O
Mostly I'm just thrilled that the migraines stayed away (except for a very mild headache) and let me enjoy being with a group of people that I have fun being around. I don't often get to go on relatively large group outings like this, so I basically just had a ball. And the funny part is, I met all but one of these people through Achaea.
The awesome people Xer is the skinny one leaning on the chair, and Vrah is the only blonde-haired one in the group!
Birthday feast! I swear after everyone was done (and the guys ate a lot) there was still enough to feed a family of four for 3-4 days to come.
Jelly animals on my cake because I'm apparently 5 at heart and BECAUSE I CAN.

@Berenene It's actually a rant in that he won't be ginger.

(D.M.A.): Cooper says, "Kyrra is either the most innocent person in the world, or the girl who uses the most innuendo seemingly unintentionally but really on purpose."
So it's been a long 4 years, a huge drain on my wallet, and a never ending source of bickering between myself, my ex, and my parents, but my son is finally properly potty trained (and just in time to start pre-school)
F'k you companies that make diapers, I don't need you anymore
I don't know if this is a rave, but I went to the graveyard to see my great uncles grave today for the first time, and I kind of just stood there for an hour thinking about him. He was probably the nicest guy I ever met, and it feels like just yesterday idly chatting with him about my life, even though it's been four years since he's been gone. I feel like I just forgot all the advice he's given me over the years and going back was a bit of a wake up call
