I have just planned the reverse of a night out. A normal night of debauchery starts with a quiet drink and extends into the night, or so I assume.
I've managed to extend a meal at 6 backwards by almost five hours of meeting people. This is unexpectedly social, and I'm going to get little to nothing useful done today, but it's going to be totally worth it.
My daughter has been sick for the past year or so. After taking her to numerous doctors, we finally found a Gastroenterologist in Nashville who is very good at what she does. A multitude of tests later, we found out that she has Crohn's Disease.
After her losing 61 pounds, we've gotten my daughter on meds that actually help her. She has yet to miss a day of school since it started. She's not passed out at work. Her weight loss has slowed down. I am extremely relieved after being worried sick for months.
Amusement of the day after getting maybe 2 hours of sleep because of my daughter waking up every hour or so because she couldn't breathe (damn being sick!)
Rave: Watching someone open their present, do a triple take, and then spend the better part of four minutes breathless with laughter before regaining just enough coherency to say 'You bitch!' before giggling furiously for a further minute or so has got to be one of the most enjoyable experiences, ever.
Shorter rave: A good night out in good company, and for once I wasn't the only one not drinking. Hella good.
Minor rant: The further you go from Italy, the worse the pizza gets. This one was pretending to be from New York. :-&

Oh, the anticipation! I can hardly wait... (Suddenly, memories of me as a little girl counting the nights to sleep before my approaching birthday.) Also, how sad is it that that will be one of the highlights of the day?

Bear in mind I am one day ahead of most with my timezone...you'll probably get your shortly then.

Haven't been posting in forums, thought I'd post a couple of raves.
(1) Front row @ Smashing Pumpkins concert. Being able to do \m/ at Billy when he waved to our section. Even if my \m/ is always a little messed up. I'm too nerdy. (2) My lunges with dumbbells improved tonight. Also, did circuit training on my own for a whole 45 minutes. Rawr. (I've been training @ gym after work which is why I am rarely sighted in the realms these days. Too much going on.)
Located my weighted ropelike-physical-fitness-tool-mainly-used-for-short-bursts-of-flight object. I think you humans call it a jumping rope. It was hidden in one of my bags of holding.
And I love too Be still, my indelible friend That love soon might end You are unbreaking And be known in its aching Though quaking Shown in this shaking Though crazy Lately of my wasteland, baby That's just wasteland, baby

First day on the floor at work. It's busy, but fun. Time is flying by.
My avatar is an image created by this very talented gentleman, of whose work I am extremely jealous. It was not originally a picture of Amunet, but it certainly looks a great deal like how I envision her!
Lightning struck neaby my house, causing my lovely desktop (With a surge protector thankfully) to cause my 12v rail on my power supply to short out, making the desktop useless. So I get on facebook today and post on my gaming clans facebook saying I wouldn't be able to game for some time due to it, within 10m I got an offer on a 1200 watt PSU for free big upgrade from the 730 I was using. gaming clans

One of the symptoms of an approaching nervous breakdown is the belief that one's work is terribly important
Pluk een roos!
Zet hem op je hoed,
Dan ben je morgen weer goed.
