Son's first day of Kindergarten... so hot outside, so the walk home was miserable... and all of his school stuff got left at school -_- Glad I put his name on almost all of it.
Don't want to be accidentally backhanded across the face by a huge, sweaty drunk nerd with cheese and poutine gravy all over his fingers while watching the grand finals of "The International 3"?
Then don't attend a pubstomp in an over-crowded bar called "Cheesewerks" and sit next to a fat guy wearing a fanboy "Na'Vi" t-shirt when Na'Vi is losing. Ergh >_>
Coming here and reading the word Poutine. Go obscure cultural dish reference. Now I know where you're from, buddy!
Donair poutine... *dies in a heart attack of greasy glory*

Though too far away to accurately perceive details, you see that Drugs is in Mhaldor.

Psychology, Computer Science, Music Technology (Rather random mixture as our choices a year back were not exactly great, but I study Biology on the side at A level standard to supplement my University choice of Neuropsychology).
Went in to work today and found the morning shift and the kids decorated and surprised me for my birthday. I got confettied, dragged around on a "choose your path" tour and tackled repeatedly. Oh and there was cake and pudding
My morning started off with a handsome man on a horse, I got a cheerful wave on the way to work. Since my boss is away for six weeks, I have a plate of bacon and eggs, on toast sitting in front of me, and I am ignoring the fact it's going to be a super late Friday work night.
Also, last night was all sorts of awesome. :x

I'd been searching for a long time for the games I played on NES while growing up... and there was one I couldn't figure out for the life of me...
Dragon's Lair. I got to watch a longplay of it earlier and man... I feel old, but it was great to see. Now to deal with sleepy kids, get things ready for another school day and maybe do some practice for my own school work (Damn you Excel!!)

I don't think we ever had those games- we were poor, for the most part, and I think the NES + games we got (mario/duck hunt, Dragon's Lair, Double Dare... and I think one more, but I could be wrong) were Christmas presents from my dad's side of the family- I was probably 5 or something (around first grade), so I really don't remember.
Talking about having a Disney movie night, then coming home and finding a whole playlist full of Disney songs. Have just been singing along to it all night. I love Disney.

Freecycle is amazing. For those not familiar, it's a program where you post stuff you want to get rid of to the group's listserv, and then anyone who wants what you have can email you to arrange a pickup time. In the past 24 hours, I've gotten rid of my TV, TV stand, fishtank, storage tower, and fire safe, all of which were too big/heavy for me to take with me on my cross-country move.
Sweet Christ, do I hate shopping for jeans...except this time. I am down two sizes since February! I didn't cringe when I looked in the mirror, and I only had to ask for smaller sizes in the fitting rooms. I rewarded myself with two pairs of expensive skinny jeans, a really expensive bra, and hair dye. Goodbye, ugly ginger highlights!

Wow, honestly, I don't usually like going places, but it was totally worth going to New York to see Wicked today, and monday we're going to see the Lion King. Aside from that and eating, I'm just going to sleep. >.>
I've already gained like 3 pounds and I've only been here since thursday morning! And good job @Amunet! Keep losing weight for the rest of us so we can live vicariously through you, or at least I will.
I will try. I'm starting my new job tomorrow morning, so the shift from relatively sedentary days to working six to eight hours on my feet ought to help, as long as I keep to my work-out routine even when dead tired, and I don't start eating fast food every day for lunch.

Five minutes until orientation. Omgomgomg so nervous! I keep reminding myself, "Breathe, Lindsey. Breathe!" Wish me luck!

I was fairly sure that I had ordered two pairs of glasses. Instead, I ended up with one pair of Versace.
