Recent changes in my life have given me a boost to my confidence that I never thought I needed and new friends have brought me to a place in my life where I'm ready to step away from a facade that I've been standing behind and come out to my family.

Just got back from Beer Metal Summer Camp. It was an adventure. Highlights included getting lost on a sketchy, pothole-addled dirt road leading to (quite literally) the top of a mountain in the Cascades, setting up a tent on a hillside, in an area that wasn't necessarily a designated camp site, digging a fire pit with my bare hands, shimmying up an evergreen tree to hang tarps around a camp toilet, mixing mojitos in Solo cups out of the back of a mini-van, taking straight shots of R&R out of a gallon of whiskey proffered by some friendly people we met while lost on top of that mountain, breaking the nose of some crusty, creepy punk who was sexually harassing me and other girls (details in rants; this guy was something else), getting my ass kicked in the pit (I will have bruises for -weeks-; it was awesome!), listening to awesome performances until four in the morning, going sunrise skinny-dipping in a frigid, alpine lake, waking up with random people in our tent whom we had never met (no one tried to rape us, or anything like that; they just went in the wrong tent, and were too drunk to notice. We were, apparently, too!), eating amazing vegan doughnuts for breakfast (given to us by the girl camping beside us, who works at a vegan bakery and was appreciative of the use of our "bathroom stall"), and watching the "beer olympics" (I might have to compete next year, but I'm not sure if I could beat out the timed keg stand winner - he lasted sixty-eight seconds). Finally, just before we left, a drunk guy wrote me a haiku in exchange for a cigarette.
I would have loved to stay longer, but, unfortunately, the cops shut it down a day early. Apparently, there was an issue with the permits this year. It was fun while it lasted, though, and I will definitely make the pilgrimage again!
My avatar is an image created by this very talented gentleman, of whose work I am extremely jealous. It was not originally a picture of Amunet, but it certainly looks a great deal like how I envision her!

RP'd a drow for about ten years and I hate spiders. Such internal conflict.

....shit just got real, yo. Bossman had these made up for me. Awwwww. <3 So...I sort of have a job if I have my own cards that I didn't make myself, right? they're all embossed and nifty an stuff!
....and I probably shouldn't be geeking out/squee-ing as much as I have been over them but ....HUZZAH!
Previous MUD I played before I came to Achaea. Spent a whole ten years developing the most feared villain in existence and then someone spoiled my fun by insisting that killing people was mean.

Also, the name of that business is awesome, it reminds me of a seafood restaurant down the road from work called Squid Inc.

@Kyrra: Regarding the person who said that killing people was mean: This human, I don't even. Isn't that the point of being a villain? To do mean things so that heroes will have a reason to be heroes?
@Synbios: You'd think so. They kicked me in the feels and bound me from being evil. Now I feel awful about accidentally getting people killed and life is boring.
