"Faded away like the stars in the morning, Losing their light in the glorious sun, Thus would we pass from this earth and its toiling, Only remembered for what we have done."

Love Pacific Rim! All them larger than life machines and kaiju monsters that remind me of ormyrr and dala'myrr. Kek.
Just finished watching Despicable Me 2. So much laughter occurred. Next target: Pacific Rim.
That was a great movie. The girls were adorable, and the story was actually decently fun to follow, unlike so many sequels. It definitely played a bit to my romantic side, though, so I'll concede that.
Best of all, it looks like our favourite Dawnlord even got to play a role in the movie!
Meet @Silas Ramsbottom. It took everything I had not to burst into fits of giggles when he came on-screen. )
And I love too Be still, my indelible friend That love soon might end You are unbreaking And be known in its aching Though quaking Shown in this shaking Though crazy Lately of my wasteland, baby That's just wasteland, baby
(D.M.A.): Cooper says, "Kyrra is either the most innocent person in the world, or the girl who uses the most innuendo seemingly unintentionally but really on purpose."
Once we were working out people's positions on the metaphorical teams, and fifteen people in someone suggested I'd be a spectator. One who was sat at the back, didn't know the rules and would rather be someplace else anyway because they found the game boring.

Rave is that that brings back good memories.
See, that's when you suggest that you'd be the pinch hitter who would hit a ground rule double, but the last time you tried, you got snagged by the infield fly rule and had to be demoted to bat boy.
And then when everybody stares at you and your abomination of baseball terminology, you say "So, how about Man U?" and change the subject.

I lol'd loudly when he came out. I couldn't help it because I thought the same, @Melodie.

It's great, they play 3 episodes back to back on thursday night, so it's like a little mini marathon every week. This week had one of my favorite 2 parters - Improbable Cause and The Die is Cast. Garek is awesome!
Janeway: Tuvok! *clapclap* Release my hounds!
Krenim: Hounds? How cliche.
Janeway: Tuvok! *clapclap* Release my rape gorilla!
But I produced the second useful result at my new work today! Yay! Prior to this, in the first two weeks I only made some annotations onto a diagram. I'm on an extra-fast track to becoming an expert in a very specific domain.

Gah...the last couple of movies I have gone to, both of which were kids movies, @Silas has made an appearance in them. I did laugh pretty hard when I saw this guy in Despicable Me 2 though.
Alright, it seems I've been doing alright so far in avoiding any potential traps, because my nemesis decided to take an altogether new approach to locating my weaknesses.
After shadowing me as I bought a bottle of iced tea from the nearby convenience store, she then proceeded to drag me to McDonalds, so that she may also purchase some refreshment prior to continuance of work. After buying that strange product called a 'frappe', whatever that is, she made sure that I was busy walking back to our location of work before asking me this strange question, "Have you ever been close to anyone in your university?"
I was stunned, unable to comprehend the question before saying a generic answer in the negative.
Enlighten me, humans - does this question mean anything? Because on my end, I interpreted it as one of these:
A. She is using social engineering tactics to determine if I have potential allies that she can abduct as hostages.
B. She is attempting to determine if I have allies that will avenge me on my demise.
That was the perfect moment for a punch in the face. I am disappointed. I would go empty your tear ducts for 3 hours and then buy her chocolates and/or draw her a flower.

One of the symptoms of an approaching nervous breakdown is the belief that one's work is terribly important
I was heading home from class today, and encountered a Muslim and two Hindu students talking about their faiths in the bus stop. I greeted them and joined their pleasant, insightful discussion, even when we were on the bus already. I learned a lot from them, things that I previously have read about in my World Literature class, but in a personal light that I like.
We then all pronounced that all of our faiths were just about doing one thing: doing good. It felt great to hear that truth, and it was with smiles that we saw each other off as we disembarked the bus and went our own ways.
Faith in humanity strengthened.
