Still alive. I was able to mine enough ore to supply myself with the two coins that I owe my female human colleague who is also aiming to end me. Unfortunately, come lunch time, she had invited me to accompany her to lunch(no doubt to dispose of me in some abandoned gutter). Before I was even able to provide my 'convenience store' excuse, two other humans - a male and a female - stepped in and invited us to eat at a nearby place. Damn it, stooping so low as to call for reinforcements. Are the days of fair play, honorable duels and 'one-assassin, one-victim' long past for these fleshlings?! 

With the reinforcements, my veto was easily overturned, and I had a chicken barbecue with a half-cup of rice before we returned to work. Mmmm, chicken barbecue.

Ignoring the fact that I'm too busy workingrunning for my life to make these:

Blog - I know a decent majority of you Achaean humans consider Dadaist novels to be infinitely more comprehensible than a single sentence that I write. How much more if the less-educated masses see what I write?

Comic - As explained prior: SCP-Class Visual Memetic Viruses. I'll just get the poor hosting site shut down for causing massive brain damage.

So yesterday was a very mixed day, but I'm determined to make a rave of it.

 

I've been taking several karate classes whilst Sensei is on holiday, with mixed success. I haven't had anyone badly injured or reduced to tears yet, so I'm pleased. Last night I took a class of eighteen people, and filled it with kata and kumite and press-ups and it was good. And this morning, my computer was returned to me - despite only leaving on Monday for repairs. Soon, it will be restored, and I can Achaea again. Amongst other things.

 

Since this is raves, I won't recount the timetabling mistake that got me a verbal slap in the face, or the stupid levels of stress, or the poor conditions and treatment I'm having to suffer through to get these lessons done. Focussing on the positives, or trying to!

My nemesis gets cleverer and cleverer. 

From their previous entrapment operation, where I found myself subsisting on a half-cup of rice and chicken barbecue(mmm, chicken barbecue), I found that this female co-worker has taken, as a habit, to consuming noon-time sustenance(known by you humans as 'lunch') at a nearby eatery. Which means that I have now mapped several places to prevent myself from being lured to my demise. 

So for yesterday's operation, I informed her that I will be eating at a nearby commercially-dense superstructure - also known as a mall - where I know a few establishments that sell comestibles that were within my budget. As one of the two minions of hers - the female one - was on leave, that meant that I was able to break free of their tripartite 'veto' power, allowing me to visit the mall alone. 

Having taken my fill of lunch - a waffle hotdog and a soda - I was about to exit the building when, to my extreme horror and dismay, my assassin and minion intercepted me. While I was calculating the probability of using the nearby concrete stairways to parkour myself to safety, she then informed me that she had visited the mall to purchase new earphones. No doubt heavy espionage can take its toll on those devices. She then asked me if I knew a nearby establishment that sells electronic devices similar to that of her earphones.

I was forced into a dilemma: Assist her and be stabbed in the back, or escape, confirming her suspicions that I was suspicious of her(which may lead to an expedited attempt on my life and pseudopods)? Fortunately, my initial reconnaissance of the mall revealed one such place, and I led her and her minion to it, all the while watching my flanks and blind spots for any hidden assailants.

Then we were back in the office, where I presented my rough draft of the website to our boss, who was promptly pleased and designated the work to our web designer for fixing. 

tl;dr: Still alive, humans. Still alive.

Oh my god, I never even thought things like Waffle Time (?) didn't exist outside of the Philippines. Never found one here in the States.

I miss that. Even if the only variant I ever ate was the plain cheese one.
