Yay, my sister will be home in less than 48 hours! I'm catching up on all my sleep for our customary 24 hour non-stop gaming session!
I have a nice stack of unopened video games that I've been collecting since she left, for us to play once she got back. And then, cat picking time!!!! *dies from the excitement*
Synbios: -sees an altar dedicated to Susanowo- Hm. I need a proper altar and stash location for blessing my water.
-couple of rounds of killing a suitably-strong monster-
Synbios: -places the corpse of a giant scorpion on the altar- O, Lady Amaterasu, grant that my sacrifice give thee the strength to usurp Lord Susanowo's grip on this holy altar!
NetHack: Your sacrifice is consumed in a flash of white! You sense a conflict between Amaterasu Omikami and Susanowo. You feel the power of Amaterasu Omikami increase. The altar glows white!
Amaterasu Omikami: Good job, My chosen Samurai. I have now gained foothold that I may watch you better in your quest for the Amulet of Yendor
NetHack: The voice of Susanowo booms....
Susanowo: Thou shalt pay for thy indescretion! I summon my agent of your destruction!
NetHack: The Succubus of Susanowo appears before you.
Synbios: This is a dire situation indeed. Time to do the right thing...
NetHack: Time stands still while you and the succubus of Susanowo lie in each other's arms... You seem to have enjoyed it more than the succubus of Susanowo... You will always remember the succubus of Susanowo... (editor's note: This particular "You will always remember the succubus of Susanowo..." message means that this encounter has also raised my character's wisdom)
Succubus of Susanowo: It's on the house! -teleports away-
Susanowo: What the hell, lady? You were supposed to slay Synbios, not lay Synbios.
Got over my phone-related panics long enough to talk with the guy I might be renting an apartment from (it looks AWESOME, and a great friend is going to check it out for me later this week, since I'm on the other side of the country) and to make a doctor's appointment for my super-angry sinuses (wish it was for sooner than June 10th, but I'll take what I can get). Vaguely winning!

I do hope you mean July 10th...
Shush. I'm in denial about it already being July. But yes, that is what I meant.
Mmmm. Double shot flat white and a handful of Panadol.

We get to bring the babies home from the NICU tomorrow. On their first week birthday. I'm so glad they were healthy just small and they needed a little bit of time so that the dr's could make sure that they would continue to be healthy.
Yay, I can play Achaea again, though still in small doses cause I'm smothering my sister in attention and we aren't done with all the games yet.
Got a old fashioned spanish dagger/dirk from my sister which is soooo cool. And a penny whistle from ireland I think, and a book on how to be a proper viking and a booklet for writing runes... >.> So glad I have a sister who remembers to get me gifts that matter. OH and like 5 pounds of Swedish and French chocolate~ I've been on a sugar high non-stop. I'm getting so fat, I might not fit through the door to properly introduce my boyfriend to my parents next week. OH, and my dad got an old-fashioned pistol model thingy which is SUPER COOOL. I think he made me spend like 30 minutes taking pictures of him after he opened it. Hehe.
I can play Ode to Joy on the penny whistle and incoming pictures of the cool stuff minus my dad when I figure out how I want to upload the pictures from my phone. T_T so sleepy...
Oh, and killed two spiders since the last one, so I think I'm becoming really good at this, though now I'm wondering what upset the spider population balance in the first place for so many of them to be running inside. It's kinda like Aliens fleeing to earth because something bigger and badder is out there eating them! Make sure to send a letter to your Congressmen to stop Area 51!
Just kidding, I'm not that crazy. It's this frenchy chocolate talking!
Last night: rum root beer floats out of mason jars at two in the morning, on a veranda in the ghetto, with awesome people.
Today: Booze, food, a swimming pool, a hot tub, more booze, and my mother's usual cast of drunken, aging partygoers. Plus the awesome people from last night.
Tonight: Explosives.
My avatar is an image created by this very talented gentleman, of whose work I am extremely jealous. It was not originally a picture of Amunet, but it certainly looks a great deal like how I envision her!
Had a fantastic day hanging out with @Illyose and his brothers-- great movie, great conversations, great board game (Super Dungeon Explore... so awesome!!), and generally a great 4th.
Had a wonderful 4th of July at our house. No fireworks no cookouts but we got to bring two beautiful grandsons home from the hospital today. They are still tiny but they are home. I finally got cuddle time with my 2 little joys. Mommy and daddy are sleeping right now so babies are sleeping in their rock and plays with grandma in the living room at the moment.
I don't have to see my psychologist anymore, I have gotten over the death of my grandfather, and I'm back in the full swing of things! Three classes in summer school, getting back in touch with my friends, and back to playing my old games.
Finally got to see my dad and one of my sisters along with her whole family (first time since my grandma's funeral earlier this year ) Got a large deposit from grandma's estate that completely floored me- which is great because we're livin la vida broke-a. Plus, he offered to take me and my kids (when they get older) out to Conneaut Lake, Pennsylvania which is where he grew up. Little one was grumpy because she didn't nap at all until the fireworks came on, then she was back to her grumpy self.
Was just an overall good day (though now my body can't cool off, so that's why I'm awake at 1:25 am)
Just found out that one of my students is giving a talk in his English class today, on what it means to be a Senpai. Guess who his main talking point is?
Found a $300 check I had been meaning to cash... (I am so freaking lazy if anything requires me to leave my house) it makes up for waking up to a spider IN my bed. needless to say I only got two hours of sleep.
If that happened to me, I would feel bad for wasting someone else's money on Dunkin' Donuts coffee, and worse for then feeling obligated to actually drink it.
