Today, we had an AP Music Theory test on harmonic progressions and root-position part writing. Got a 91! I'm happy, since its the last test I'll have to take for the year until vacation is over.  >-

This will probably sound terribly silly, but playing Castle Crashers with my 4 (almost 5) year old. And it's hilarious to me, his character is level 66... mine's only level 39. All in all, really fun!

I just watched Goldfinger. So ludicrously awesome and awesomely ludicrous. I could not stop laughing for parts of it and now I can't stop grinning. I mean, screw realism, that was classic.

Best Bond movie ever. (Although I always loved You only Live Twice because it has a super-awesome villain lair, ninjas, and spaceships that eat other spaceships - that scene where the spaceships swallows that shuttle is one of my eeriest childhood memories).

Goldfinger was on the television when I went to dinner last Saturday. I got to watch it on the big screen in the tavern while rudely ignoring all attempts at polite conversation.

Finally got to see the last twilight movie. It was better than the rest, which made it decent. Also because it has been out for weeks, I was practically alone in the theatre which is always awesome.

Scheduled to work half a day today (9-12:45), subbing for an 8th grade language arts class. Ends up she has a co-teacher in the morning, who basically handles everything for me, so I relaxed and read a bit in a book. After two periods and a half hour lunch, the main teacher returns early, so I call the front office to see if they need me elsewhere. The attendance clerk tells me to have a merry Christmas and to head on home - so not only was my day easy, I got to leave an hour and a half early, and still get paid for it!

Now I have no work for two weeks, and in just a moment, I am going to lay down for a nap after a long week. In three days, the housemates will be leaving the boyfriend and I home alone (with the dogs, but ahwell) for a glorious, glorious week of peace.

All is currently well in the world.

Rave: The way kids look at things is adorable sometimes. 6 year old playing my partner's old pokemon red on gameboy pocket. He runs up  to me. "Mummy, I saw a pissy-duck!" Hmm. Well that sort of resembles Psyduck? Nice try kiddo.

I graduated from the University of Houston yesterday morning with my bachelor's in English, literature concentration. Not only that, but the job for which my degree has trained me is going to start working me full time.

Dad contracted a guy to install insulation in the roof because of dat freaking hot weather. Now I can sit in the bedroom for 30 minutes, with all windows closed, no AC and electric fan turned off in the middle of noon without breaking a sweat.

I went out to a friend's place at around noon today to start building a swingset for their little two year old.  Took seven hours, a lot of work, and much cussing but we got it done.  Seeing how happy the lil guy was made it all worth it, even if I am achier than all hell right now.

9pm Christmas Eve, and pretty much done everything. Presents all wrapped, labelled, and under the tree. Kids stockings filled, sister is staying the night, and she's on 5am wake up duty to entertain the rugrats. Gingerbread, fudge made, and just finished making dough for pork buns, then it's the male's job to fry up the pork, and put them together for tomorrow. Last thing left, rum balls to make, then done for tonight! Might even get some hunting in.

So I won my serious fantasy football league this year ($500 buy in, woo woo).  In addition to getting the trophy, I also get to give the last place loser a terrible gift befitting of his crappy team.

I want something highly visible that he'll be forced to wear next year during our live draft in Vegas.  Maybe the below in baby pink?
