    @Aepas pretty much explains most of SE Asia in one post. There's that sense of camaraderie I missed so, so much because there were so many cultures mashed together that you saw past all barriers. You learn 5 different languages not by choice, but because you just end up being surrounded by it and pick it up just to really survive in the place. That's what I hate about being where I am in Australia. You have to teach people over and over again about the different cultures and languages after they bring it up first, then they just tell you to go back to where you came from because it's too much for them to take in.

    oh, possible rave: My workplace, has agreed to increase my pay for all the work I've done. It is now up by an extra 50c per hour. So all these 60 hour weeks for the past half year have now paid off? >_>

    The downside is that they cut off all communication with the outside world for the duration of the working day, and I'll have to work half days on Saturdays too. So much less talking to people. :(

    Keeping an open mind, though, and just seeing how it goes. I didn't think the interview went all that well, so this is pretty cool.
    I know the pain of being cutoff from the wotld at work, it sucks but you kinda get used to it.

    I found out that we get 30 mins a day of net access for non-work related stuff which is nice. And there's always 3G on the phone when there's actually a little downtime to use it!

    Rant has turned to rave. Got a preowned 3ds at gamestop (can't find them anymore... only XL and man the guy at gamestop tried to upsell it so hard because I was a chick by myself. He stopped when hubby came over with the kids. Then he was like "Even 5 year olds play on the XL" me: Uh, so? Only reason I'm getting one is my old one won't charge any more and I. Like. It. I don't need anything bigger. *insert that's what she said*)

    Got everything from old DS transferred to new one in about 30 min. And my new one is the Red to black gradient one, which works perfectly because those are my favorite colors!

    I do, but it'll be when the semester starts to wind down a bit. I'm reading what feels like 500 thesis this semester and on what is literally one billion committees, but I will be back!
