I was in complete agony over something of which I had no control whatsoever. I randomly call up my best friend and 5 minutes later, she has me completely calmed down.
Absolute 100% rave: lifelong friends being there for one another, through thick and thin, at any time of day, and able to fix problems in a matter of a few words.
I am retired and log into the forums maybe once every 2 months. It was a good 20 years, live your best lives, friends.
I was going to see a movie with a friend, but bailed to go to a lecture instead. A lecture instead of a movie you say, and it's a rave?! Well it was being given by Dr. Charles Elachi, Director of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory for NASA, and it was awesome! Very vibrant and interesting person, and the stuff he talked about really tickled my excitement for space-related stuff!
You know. This is long long long overdue. Since I've began playing Achaea, I've met and talked to several people IG, and then got associated with them through OOC clans. Some of them I can't stand, most I'm neutral to, a few I like, and a very select few I adore. I have three people who I can unconditionally say I love that I met solely through Achaea. So, thanks to you three, you all know who you are. You've made my life much happier, much richer, and much better than it was without you. And thanks to everyone who puts up with my regular insanity on clans, and Nell's violent brand of insanity IC.

I feel like I spend too much time complaining and being down about life lately, and being down about myself in general, so I want to take a moment and focus on some the good things.
1. Stressful as my classes are, I'm incredibly grateful that I have the chance to learn so many cool new things. I'm really looking forward to the subjects I'll take next year, when I can finally get into more specialized topics.
2. My parents have always, whatever their thoughts on me personally, supported my education. Over the past year, as I worked through difficulties with my health, they have moved from being critical of nearly every aspect of my performance in school to being constantly supportive. I also really appreciate the trust they place in me as well as the support they give me.
3. I have awesome friends, including those I've gotten to know through Achaea.
4. I got an Assemblage 23 hoodie in the mail two days ago and I've barely taken it off since. So cool, yet so warm.
5. I'm not overweight anymore. I may not be as thin as I used to be, and with my dietary restrictions now I may never be again, but my face in the mirror looks like mine again, and I really don't look bad.
6. The new clothes I got with my aunt have gotten me spontaneous compliments. I don't just not look bad, apparently I look good.
7. I have dysgraphia, ADHD, and a host of processing problems that mean I basically can't take notes and I take a long time to write things. I also have religious observance that makes me rack up absences and eliminates Saturday as a work day. I have a chronic illness that tires me and sometimes actively prevents me from being able to focus or work long hours. Despite this, I am a B+/A- student, I'm in Eta Sigma Phi, and there's an Air Force Colonel who told me he would try to find me internships over the summer. There are probably tons of people who wish they were as cool as me.
Now I need to run before I'm late for an exam.

Been having a cough for almost two months and other symptoms that've been on and off. Dang it, @Wysteria ! I thought you lived too far! Don't give me your cough!

Perhaps I've always known it, or I just didn't really acknowledge it, but I ended the day pretty surprised at the level of endurance and perseverence that I've shown today. I thoroughly enjoyed my six full hours of canoeing, cycling and trekking.
I honestly thought I would give up in the middle of canoeing, because I'm not very known for having much of an upper body strength since I'm stick thin but I never stopped rowing unless we has to raft up at a checkpoint.
Maybe this will encourage me to work out more!

I have to work tomorrow 6am-6pm and be acting Team Leader, because the roster person somehow, y'know, forgot she rostered the normal person on while they're on holiday. I've been supervisor before but not a TL which has a significantly different set of duties that you're meant to be trained 6 months for.
The rave? They've confirmed for this day they will pay me the TL payrate, plus the Sunday penalty, plus the overtime rate. By day's end tomorrow, I will have made my entire week's pay…in one day.

Had my first ever LARP last night. I was Michael Ley a fairly new addition to the Fog City Police Dept with a sweet spot for the raising starlet, Zoe Adams. Tasked with investigating the murder of Levi Montgomery, the city's "Designer". In the end we managed to work out who killed him and how, but didn't get so far as catching the person who hired the killer, but we suspected who it was. In the last minute of the game I got punched out by the douche bag who believed he owned Zoe Adams, but in the end I still got the girl .
There were so many plot arcs going on at once, everybody had their own goals; from trying to find stolen diamonds, other people trying to sell them, an ambassador from Tokyoto trying to find a special book, a hired assassin working as a barkeep, the hotel manager in debt, and a sociopath in charge of everything. the GM was surprised that we got as far through the story as we did.
Man, I just realized that now that I'm not Naga and the Dawnstriders no longer exist, I'll never get to crash a Dawnmeet wearing a special 'A dagger in the dark is worth a thousand swords at dawn' tee. Damn.

Also, let's make Shokan with quad-wielding happen.
In all seriousness you could balance most of it out by giving them 6 base strength. Except 4 rapier venoms... darn.
ETA: Slower dsl balance on shokans? pleesh? K, I'll stop trying to make it work...

Yep, sounds good to me
OMG QUOTES BROKEN. But this literally made my day. I was having a pretty shitty one. I am still in the process of trying not to die of laughter when I read it. THANK YOU.
Someone called into my radio show tonight asking for the name of a song I played, thus proving that someone beside family members ever listens to it. Awesome.

Hottest day of all March, where the humidity started creeping up again, and my night finishes with a random thunderstorm to cool everything down again.

Eff. Yes. Not only are they finally doing the Incredibles 2, but Frozone is back. Eff yes. I think I'm more excited than my kids.
