Been marathoning Madoka Magica with @Verily the past few days! We're not done yet (last two episodes) but holy hell, I'm loving this! Also, see related gif.
We finished the series, and I'm honestly surprised they got anything close to a happy ending. Favorite anime now, and I fully recommend anyone to watch it who hasn't seen it - do -not- look up anything about it though. Seriously.
Second job interview tomorrow! The big dilemma comes if they both want me >_>. I'll know if the paperwork for a 3 month contract the team boss at the first company drew up is accepted sometime this week at least. Second one is offering a 6 month contract for higher base pay though. Both look so interesting too. Gaaaaah. This rave is starting to turn into a semi-rant so I'll stop now.
So I finally had my first coffee brewing competition today! I went in with low expectations so that I wasn't overly saddened when I didn't pass the first round. However, in my group, I was a really close second (1 judge chose mine, the other 2 chose the other) as they kept going back and forth slurping my cup and the winner. Got to meet a ton of people, went home with some more coffee samples from local and Chicago (HalfWit Roasters). Overall a really great day and excited to start learning some new brewing techniques for other devices (and play with the new Clever dripper I just got ^_^).
Geocaching! New outdoor hobby. Trying it the hard way, without a GPS. Darn those things are expensive. Cannot afford right now, but finding a cache without a GPS is even more sweet!
Im kinda curious as to what people are listening to these days? I'm old school. Van Halen blasting through my FM radio
Currently I'm listening to the new Sun Kil Moon Album. I'm listening some Kylesa and Truckfighters. Other than that it's just been some J Dilla, Royal Thunder, and as always my favorites the Mountain Goats, The Silver Jews, and Archers of Loaf.

New school masquerading as old school. 80s-inspired synthwave electro, aka outrun. Here is a good, if long example (14 minutes) with a cool fan-made music video cut together from 80s horror movies: Jordan F - Abandoned Streets.

Wow... I've never heard of any of those groups. My connection is horrible, and I'm having youtube issues. What genre would you classify those groups?

Oh man all over.
Sun Kil Moon is Mark Kozelek's band - I suppose he's best known for his mopey band from the 90s, Red House Painters. He's just damn good acoustic stuff.
Kylesa, Truckfighters, Royal Thunder - you can pretty much group these acts under doom I suppose. Not really. Kylesa is by far my favorite of the bunch. AMAZING group.
J Dilla is a famous hip-hop producer, he died of lupus a long time ago. Still his stuff he put out is great.
the Mountain Goats are my all time favorite - John Darnielle is a genius. Absolutely worth listening too. Super prolific. Indie definitely but started out as lo-fi acoustic rock and now it's more polished and whatnot.
The Silver Jews are pretty much indie - awesome as shit.
Archers of Loaf is AWESOME! One of my favorite 90s rock groups.

This show, so much WTF going on in my head. Both good ones and bad ones, not sure if I really like it or absolutely hate it...and I can only tolerate in small doses @Mithridates
