    Melbourne Cup!

I put $2 in the kitty for our shopping complex doing the $2 sweepstakes. I pulled Red Cadeaux from the hat and scored $10 for coming in second. Woo.
(D.M.A.): Cooper says, "Kyrra is either the most innocent person in the world, or the girl who uses the most innuendo seemingly unintentionally but really on purpose."

  • Got a job today. That was nice.

Not as nice as knowing we're in Egg Nog Season now, though.
OMFG I have to make egg nog now, but I can't really afford the bourbon.

    I'll figure something out.

I can finally keep my pipe lit without it dwindling out on me as quickly as an Achaean cigar.

  • JozlynJozlyn out of here.
@Eld Woah dude, you make eggnog? Can we hang? I'll bring my hula hoop. We can listen to music, hoop, and drink nog.
     yes, sir.

Yes, but I think we're on opposite coasts, so we'll need to figure something out. In the meantime, I just use Alton Brown's recipe. The availability of eggnog recipes should not be a reason not to hang, though.
  • "From the way you talk in lectures, you'll definitely get a first."

Context not required. Ego boost accepted.

(From a fellow student so pinch of salt, but it made me feel better about things.^^ )

Woke up to the sound of a pan flute :) Great way to start a gray day.

I am retired and log into the forums maybe once every 2 months. It was a good 20 years, live your best lives, friends.

Oh god. We stand upon the dawn of a new era. OOC Rants is about to transition from Kyrra hating her job to Kyrra hating her search for a new job. Brace yourselves.
I needed new material to rant about anyway.
you could always rant about the lack of rants
Aurora says, "Tharvis, why are you always breaking things?!"
Artemis says, "You are so high maintenance, Tharvis, gosh."
Tecton says, "It's still your fault, Tharvis."

  • Over 12k words, second time doing a NaNo and I hadn't gotten this far  before. Eeeee. I don't care if I really reach the 50k words, but knowing I'm actually getting the story down makes me so friggin happy!
    meh

Thank you, Louis C.K. for entertaining me while I hunt, and making it not so boring.

  • Oh music, you so pretty.

And if it were even possible to fall in love with a voice, Jeff Buckley succeeds pretty damn well at making that so.

Don't mind a bit of Pearl Jam unplugged either.

    I like being happy!

    Peace.

I'm so excited. I might actually be able to lead raid defenses better now, spar better, less crashing and crap.
    Sorry gaiz. :(

ETA: Sorcery. At least I got to expand my collection of esoteric one-off solutions. Like the raster engine in recent versions of QT having performance issues over remote X11 which is fixed by forcing use of the native graphics engine. E.g., "mudlet --graphicssystem native" is smooth remotely over the LAN whereas without the switch the output's more jerky than an epileptic in Gotham.

Money for new computer parts, crazy neighbour moving out; I shall have music again! And get my singing-voice back in shape.

    @Gamoneterik, I'm looking at you.
