See, this is one of the many reasons people think you're so damn cool, Wysteria.

You need to bottle this kind of stuff and make zillions.

    Viva la Bluef.
  • Bottle it up and vomit it out over Rants? ;)

I'm running some magnetic experiments at work, and they take a while (it's an overnight thing).  The instrument has a reservoir of liquid helium, which can't be allowed to get below a certain level, or the magnet will be quenched (this is a Bad Thing).  As I left this evening, I checked the script that I had running, and discovered that it would finish at about 1am.  Since we pay for instrument access by the day, and my time runs out at 10am tomorrow, I decided to extend the script, and take some more measurements.

I got home, and checked the instrument remotely.  I discovered that the helium level was at 54% - it can't be allowed to go below 45% for the measurements I'm doing.  My plan was to basically stay up until the early hours of the morning, monitoring the instrument from home and aborting my scrip when the He got too low.  I just checked again, and the instrument manager has split my script into two parts: he's going to go in at 6:30 tomorrow morning and refill the helium for me, then run the second part of my script (and also extend the amount of time I should have on the instrument).

    Hooray for helpful instrument managers!
The closing sentiment deserves enough support that I'll refrain from the obvious ICP reference.

I don't know what excites me more. That it's Friday or I only have to work for three hours today. Or in 13 hours I'll get to terrorize Melbourne. :x

Watching Arrow on Netflix made me want to play Skyrim again, since I really enjoy the Archery in Skyrim. It was fun.

  • ~Long-term sub gig at independent K-8 school draws to an end this week (with conferences on Thursday/Friday to boot). The kids have been very sweet here and the faculty awesomely supportive with a side of kooky and I will miss them, but I'm also looking forward to visiting my old subbing haunts (who have probably given me up for dead at this point).

~home improvement project of bathroom facelift went 95% well, with the average amount of swearing and an above-average trip count to Lowe's. Cabinet has been painted and given new hardware, and the sink top and fixtures themselves have been replaced with new ones. Shiny.

~Gestation week #17 commencing; 2  more weeks until we attempt to discern gender of spawn.

~I get Sushi on Thursday. You have no idea how much I have been wanting to go out for sushi.

Careful with sushi! It's on the do not eat when preggers list. I was devastated!

    FTFY
I found the archery of Oblivion to be better, personally. Arrows sticking all the way through the head. Better arrow traveling mechanics, etc.

    Viva la Bluef.

Rave: I just discovered a Dilbert comic on Netflix.

Rant: I can name at least one person I work with for every single character on there, that is as bad or worse.

    Hopefully not. LOL
Commission List: Aesi, Kenway, Shimi, Kythra, Trey, Sholen .... 5/5 CLOSED
I will not draw them in the order that they are requested... rather in the order that I get inspiration/artist block.

Headng out tomorrow morning to check out the warehouse for a company I may be heavily involved in running come January. This means an early night for me, followed by early rising and a loooot of coffee.

@Earionduil and @Tvistor are all sorts of awesome.

Also, trams! Sparrows! Horsies and carriages! Mutated sparrows!

Oh, and Thor 2 was really good as well.

I haven't had this much coffee since college. This must be a small fraction of what Charlie Sheen feels every day. Looking forward to meeting up with some old comrades for a bit.

I turned my car's removable seat into an office chair. This is so much more comfortable than my old chair.
I am retired and log into the forums maybe once every 2 months. It was a good 20 years, live your best lives, friends.
