Was just sitting in the neuroscience class that I am a TA for and noticed two guys in the middle/upper part of the lecture hall. They're both dressed up like...
Masks, suits, etc. They walk up to the front of the room and hand the professor (my advisor/boss) a bag of blue rock candy (you can get bags of it that look like the meth from Breaking Bad) and he laughs because he's a huge fan like I am. We all applaud them and they sit back down. Lecture continues.
Fast forward twenty minutes. They stand up randomly mid lecture on body fluid homeostasis and yell "SCIENCE, BITCH!" and leave the room through the door at the back of the lecture hall.
I'm running some magnetic experiments at work, and they take a while (it's an overnight thing). The instrument has a reservoir of liquid helium, which can't be allowed to get below a certain level, or the magnet will be quenched (this is a Bad Thing). As I left this evening, I checked the script that I had running, and discovered that it would finish at about 1am. Since we pay for instrument access by the day, and my time runs out at 10am tomorrow, I decided to extend the script, and take some more measurements.
I got home, and checked the instrument remotely. I discovered that the helium level was at 54% - it can't be allowed to go below 45% for the measurements I'm doing. My plan was to basically stay up until the early hours of the morning, monitoring the instrument from home and aborting my scrip when the He got too low. I just checked again, and the instrument manager has split my script into two parts: he's going to go in at 6:30 tomorrow morning and refill the helium for me, then run the second part of my script (and also extend the amount of time I should have on the instrument).

Hooray for helpful instrument managers!
The closing sentiment deserves enough support that I'll refrain from the obvious ICP reference.
I don't know what excites me more. That it's Friday or I only have to work for three hours today. Or in 13 hours I'll get to terrorize Melbourne. :x

Watching Arrow on Netflix made me want to play Skyrim again, since I really enjoy the Archery leveling up sneaking and one-shotting everything without being noticed in Skyrim. It was fun.
~Long-term sub gig at independent K-8 school draws to an end this week (with conferences on Thursday/Friday to boot). The kids have been very sweet here and the faculty awesomely supportive with a side of kooky and I will miss them, but I'm also looking forward to visiting my old subbing haunts (who have probably given me up for dead at this point).
~home improvement project of bathroom facelift went 95% well, with the average amount of swearing and an above-average trip count to Lowe's. Cabinet has been painted and given new hardware, and the sink top and fixtures themselves have been replaced with new ones. Shiny.
~Gestation week #17 commencing; 2 more weeks until we attempt to discern gender of spawn.
~I get Sushi on Thursday. You have no idea how much I have been wanting to go out for sushi.
Careful with sushi! It's on the do not eat when preggers list. I was devastated!

FTFY
I found the archery of Oblivion to be better, personally. Arrows sticking all the way through the head. Better arrow traveling mechanics, etc.
@laila - I just got veggie rolls (cucumber and sweet potato) and had a seaweed salad (looks like snot but I like how it tastes). I didn't really eat raw to begin with, but I do miss Philly roll and bagels and lox. and margaritas (
but!! OMG. it was delicious. I love sushi. It was a lovely night out with my hub .
First medical school acceptance of the season! -pose!- XD
Commission List: Aesi, Kenway, Shimi, Kythra, Trey, Sholen .... 5/5 CLOSED I will not draw them in the order that they are requested... rather in the order that I get inspiration/artist block.

Is this something you do annually?
Hopefully not. LOL

Headng out tomorrow morning to check out the warehouse for a company I may be heavily involved in running come January. This means an early night for me, followed by early rising and a loooot of coffee.
Also, trams! Sparrows! Horsies and carriages! Mutated sparrows!
Oh, and Thor 2 was really good as well.

I haven't had this much coffee since college. This must be a small fraction of what Charlie Sheen feels every day. Looking forward to meeting up with some old comrades for a bit.
@Earionduil and @Tvistor are all sorts of awesome.

What do you mean, mutated sparrows?? They're just FAT.

we just got a shipment of UPS (uninterpretable power source/supply) at work.
Anyways, being the electronics technician that I am, I found out how to turn two UPS into perpetual energy. You just charge two up and then plug them together. I am such a genius.
There's a Korean place I go to regularly. There's also a regular Caucasian guy that goes there around the same time. Every time he makes his order, he always and only speak in Mandarin, and the girls always react and go "Waaahhh so good!" and clap like schoolgirls (they're older than me too but look 12, hence creepy white guy otaku pedo syndrome). He did it again today and got the blanket reaction. When I get to the counter:
Me: "So when are you girls going to tell him noone knows Mandarin? It's been like a year now." Them: "When the racist bigot figures out we're Korean. It's kk, make him feel bigger than what he is, so he doesn't cry into small sock at home alone." [peace signs all around]
Moral: Gentlemen, don't piss off Asian girls. We're demons

Checking in to make sure I got a rave. I did. All is well.
Exams over in three weeks, getting flight back to Asia for three months, best friends are back home, Hobbit 2 on the way out, found place that will let me fence ten hours a week, got free electric guitar, Patrick Rothfuss' next book getting closer every day, no obligations to stop me from hitting the gym every other day, met cute girl fencing, knocked goddamn Melbourne University (you bastards) out of the running for bronze in a competition, guitar skills escalating rapidly, vocals less horrendous than previously thought, just won two League games, found obscure band I like, first Achaean meet was good aaaaand I'm done raving.

You need to bottle this kind of stuff and make zillions.
