Oh, and I just got this message from @Meletus (fast response, too!):
Message #40 Sent by Meletus 1/01/2:21 Greetings! In regard to issue 71277, as per the final paragraph of AB PHILOSOPHERSTONE, you will gain more minerals when transmutating them, and less fills will be necessary to fill a vial to full! You'll also recover potash balance slightly faster!
I still don't see it in the AB file, but it still works this way, apparently.
I've not tested any, but it looks interesting. I don't see any of them being targeted, just room-wide, except for the self-targeting ones.
I HAVE tested the Philosopher Stone, but it didn't let me do it, since I did it once before in the Transmutation skill. I thought it gave advantages to potash consumption or something like that (could be wrong), so I'm not actually sure what it does now, and I have no idea if the message when you use it has changed, to give you a clue.
Would really love if a Magi could post the Artificing stuff!
Holy crap, some of those look really damn awesome (and earily similar to Minecraft potions).
Trueblind is going to be so much fun, as will several of the high up potion things. I am super curious to see what Philosopher's stones do.
Yes, more info on all abilities, as it comes in, please. I will almost certainly have to roll an Alch. All concerns regarding group combat viability appear to have been brutally destroyed.
Formulations seems pretty awesome so far, definitely going to make Alchemists far more useful in group combat, especially raids.
-The ability to alter them to be faster/more potent/longer lasting is pretty cool as well. -The buffs seem pretty nifty, berserk mode with a Hulk/Jekyll and Hyde feel to them -I would really like to see an ability in Vision that lets you see what gasses are in the room like rites or vibes.
Are phials, used for Formulation, present in the game?
Yeah, glass phials sold by Rurin. 50 gold each, only 100 in the shop when I bought some, but others may have but a bunch already. Not riftable, and not groupable. Destroyed upon use for throwing, and imbibing (the last being kind of weird).
Formulation and artificing are just so amazingly well designed. The abilities and concepts behind them are really cool. Massive props to whoever did them. It may just be the nature of new things, but I can't help and think these two skills are just much more refined in design than stuff that's been around for years and years. I especially like artificing. Great work, everyone who was involved with this.
For those who may be curious, you cannot IMBIBE or THROW phials if you're not an alchemist. I'm not sure if having the proper skill in formulation is also important.
Word of warning, if you are a runewarden DO NOT GO DUAL BLUNT. You will lose the benefit of runeblades.
I apparently wasted my weapon exchange getting weapons I can't make full use of thanks to this. Bit of a bugger.
1/01/2:45 Your bug report (detail: empowering flails as a runewarden is currently not possible. Seems like they should be able to be empowered, or dual blunt becomes significantly less useful to a runewarden.) - has been removed because it is not a bug (usually meaning that this is the way things are intended to be). Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience or misunderstanding that may be involved. The following notes were included: Only edged weapons can be empowered, as due to the fact that blunt weapons (flails, warhammers) have inherent bonuses (double limb damage, primarily).
Also not explicitly listed anywhere, but you can use the command PHIALLIST to show what phials and formulas you have on you, their expiration date and any alterations made to them.
As the retardation vibration embeds itself, time itself appears to slow.
You move sluggishly into action.
An arrow flies in towards you.
The arrow slows and clatters to the ground long before it can strike you.
How does retardation even work? Surely it should slow the arrow to a velocity consistent with everyone else's slowed movement inside the vibe, but leave it with enough momentum to...

Your mind isn't slowed by retardation, just your movements, so it effectively gives you far higher reaction times, letting you avoid the arrow. It clatters to the ground long before it can strike you because it missed you entirely, the message just isn't very clear on that part.

Next note on dual blunt. Bashing is not implemented for dual blunt yet. I think just don't go dual blunt is the solution here, at least for now. It seems really broken at the moment and just not up to par with the other specs.
Formulation looks pretty cool. The only thing that stands out as missing is some kind of amorphous blob gelatinous ooze monster. Oh & Destructive compound rips off one of my ideas for the pirate class. Not sure how you got into my .txt files to swipe that one, but, yeah.
So, dirks: I have a level two for magi in retardation/dragon vlocks. Were the stats changed at all with this introduction of new forging? Was damage/accuracy bug in retardation finally fixed for it, with the retardation changes, or am I still stuck doing half damage and always missing? @Tecton
The bashing thing was something left in from Anarchaea because people were breaking everything and ruining my life. I completely forgot to remove it. Sorry!

We're going to rework a couple of things with runes on blunt weapons to make it a little more viable - won't be tonight, but will be in the coming days!

You do need to have the skill in Formulation to be able to use the appropriate phials.

For reference, this mob took me 3-4 dsl's at most to kill (at 2 seconds per) not but 2 hours ago.
Dual Cutting might have to be my choice if I don't intend on living off of PK experience.

SHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN!
edit: Nevermind, this got fixed like...superfast!
I take commissions.
Cascades of quicksilver light streak across the firmament as the celestial voice of Ourania intones, "Oh Jarrod..."
The vibes are inert in retardation now, so Magi actually has the disadvantage against lockers.
In other words, you get kills like you're supposed to but easier. And can't you DSTAB <venom> <venom> now?
