@Tecton is there any update as far as ETA? It's been about a week and a half since this thread opened and no Cyrene anything has happened/appeared. I know they love the red tape and meetings about discussions, etc., but just wondering if by now there is a better estimate.

There's quite a lot of work to do, it's not just flicking a switch. You'll know when Cyrene is done!
At the end of the day, we want to provide compelling, well-integrated, and sustainable houses. I know you guys are anxious to see what's going to change in your city, but making sure that the new infrastructure works well is our highest priority.
@Tecton it actually makes perfect sense to take your time. Staggering it all over the course of an IC decade or two for the five remaining cities also gives you time to put a little more than a veneer of RP in place behind it!
Off topic, but if and when the Void swallows up Imperian, Aetolia, Midkemia, or Lusternia - it would sort of be nice if planar physics could import their refugees.
Pacifism is hard in a game where the primary means of advancing out of newbie status is violent mass murder, but the Mojushai approached the issue in a large variety of ways. I wish the issue had become more significant - house lectures were great but most were about one of three topics.
If I was less awful at everything, and Nim was less shy, and the house less quiet and its membership less scattered, having a wide palette of lectures was a definite goal.
I hope whatever house replaces the Mojushai has lectures/debates as standard requirements where most might defer to journal entries, and allows for some variety. That or the bard house gets a philosopher path.
Actually the Mojushai did require different lectures but not until a later house rank.
My favourite memory of the Mojushai was Thoth setting the estate on fire. Right @Khairt?
(D.M.A.): Cooper says, "Kyrra is either the most innocent person in the world, or the girl who uses the most innuendo seemingly unintentionally but really on purpose."
Since I was there with Garao that was a requirement. Not sure why the Mojushai gets a bad rep, it's one of the best Houses I've been in, especially as a foundation to build off of. It just had very few core members and a slew of pretty bad ones for a while, declining generally since Crathen stood down. Still one of the best roleplay environments you can find in Achaea.
That's a new requirement since I left, then. No one held any lectures back then at all unless they were on those three topics.
yeah not new at all, it was one of the requirements to move on from Daisei to Insei. There was just so few people who reached Insei, out of the current house, not counting polt and syth, we had Lyci, Aery, Kross, and myself. (Two of us left) So it was just really rare, specially since most people went off to do their own thing once hr5. I'm sure there might be someone I missed, I think Iocun might of been there too, or some random dormant member. There was just not a reason to go past Daisei, which was the issue. (Aeryllin and I wanted to make Kinsei something akin to knighthood within the house, but we never got that far. Plus having a rank like that is kinda eh, humility and all. No member is more important then the other, though we wanted Kinsei to signify having reached Enlightenment. And no, not the Occie kind. Though that could of been the fast tra-)
Meh just in general, I'll put it on record. Having just become reactive on Liro? This is probably going to force me to be dormand and cancel my membership again. I can't figure out a way to have him continue on with his RP with the complete and utter lack of any RP build up to the change. It's driving me nuts.
Wait, the hell? It's my fault iron realms is failing at any RP reasoning? Buddy buddy buddy, you are losing at the game of logic. Shockingly enough I don't work for IRE so...no...not really my fault.

No offense, but you are unfairly jumping to conclusions here. No one has said (iirc) that there would be no RP at all for these changes. These are done case by case, and I assume that @Tecton and Co. are going to organize as much RP as they can to justify these changes as they are in no way, shape, or form small.
Wait until after Cyrene has been done before jumping to any such conclusions, please.

Much more fair response. You have a point too, until it actually happens I guess I can't really judge. I'm just getting grumpy I guess at something that could prospectively have a massive impact on how I enjoy the game and having little to no knowledge about it.

True, but I do sort of agree that any RP will fall short now. The changes were shared prior via Announce. That means that there was already a break in immersion to an extent. It doesn't really matter what is roleplayed from this point onward by cities, etc. Whether global warming due to chaos magma suddenly overheats the realm and melts away the Houses of every city or if Twilight's Great Work falters and the shadowy former illusion of the realm's societies are somehow cast off, we all will still have that in-character knowledge that the changes were coming all along.
When autoclass went in, the majority of Achaea had very little warning. Even house leaders and secretaries were caught off guard in some instances (but this was way back before Leaders or any other channel existed in an organized way). There wasn't much roleplay to go with it and that broke immersion too (and pissed a bunch of people off as much as the changes did).
But this has to be the great struggle that any game like Achaea faces. How to grow and change while maintaining roleplay immersion?

One of the symptoms of an approaching nervous breakdown is the belief that one's work is terribly important

Lord @Twilight should flex his Darkness powers and cover Hashan in a blanket of perpetual Night.

@Nellaundra As far as I know it's always been there. It is Hr6 though. Write and deliver an original topic.
I always preferred Lusternia's game stance on neutrality.
As stated: There shall never be a neutral faction. Each faction shall have a dynamic function and role that affects the landscape in some fashion.
