I've been playing altPUG (third party pick up games without skill balancing) recently and I got a lot better playing with Eagle and higher ranks. I was Nova 1-2 when I started altPUG and I started playing regular MM again this week and shot to MG1 pretty quick.
Getting your ass kicked is so good for learning CS.

I agree with the caveat 'unless it's a smurf team'. A nova 3 buddy of mine got us into a group with a few double AKs and a single AK, and we. Got. Rekt. I was apologizing for being awful even though I got one of our four kills, and the other guys were like 'no, dude, it's not your fault'. I don't learn anything when there is less than half a second between contact and death for our team, haha.
we live in hawaii, it's paradise tax. that ping's actually really good for what we get, when we start spiking, that's when it gets difficult. when it stays steady, fly and i have beat up some pretty okay players, like LEMs.
depends on the map, though. our normal rotation is dust2/nuke/mirage/inferno. if i play with you guys, i might start playing a smurf steam account where i've only played 1 MM game that was premade with silver 1s/2s. lost it, too, that was one of those spiking up to 2000 ping games. lol.
edit: oh, my other problem is that i average like 50 fps
And as he slept he dreamed a dream, and this was his dream.
i like cache somewhat, i end up playing dm on it about 1/2 of the time i dm. i actually like train a lot, but most people don't know how to play it...well, most people don't know how to play nuke, and train is more difficult, similar problems though.

I really like train. I've seen a lot of CEVO matches on it recently so I have a decent idea of how to play it. I got an awesome quad spraydown through smoke at Ivy last time I played train. Good map.
So I picked up Outlast again for lack of anything better to do (I hadn't gotten very far before), and ran across a pair of brothers in the game that have the -best- dialogue between them I've heard in a while. This game creeps the fuck out of me.
Also, I was somehow reminded of Galatea. Its a text game, and you kind of have to hunt for verbs and things to do, but the whole atmosphere of it makes it worth it.
And you won't understand the cause of your grief...
I've also played Dishonored lately, which bears particular mention because the amount of rats wandering around in the game almost seems to match the amount of rats in Achaean cities, if not for the random rat hordes. It's kind of creepy when I think about it like that. >_>

The more you're a horrible killing machine and take the 'evil' options, the more rats you'll find in the city.
I discovered Battle for Wesnoth some years ago. It is a fantasy strategy game, turn based. There are a lot of units, with experience level, campaigns, multiplayers…and it is all completely free. It is a very good piece of software, easy to play, but hard to master. I thought to mention it now, because maybe you are not aware of this gem.
You can play on any OS and on tablets too (it is not free on tablets, though). It is kind of addictive, but very, very fun. Did anyone ever hear about it?
I risked a RL divorce over DA: ORIGINS. Now I have two kids, come on Bioware, let me go....(last summer I replayed all the BGEE 1 and 2, and my RL wife got worried again).
Honestly, I expect DA: INQUISITION to be way better as the DA2 (easy call) but Morrigan does not look as hot as I expected. Bad sign.
Also, I know that it was previously mentioned in the forums. Faster Than Light has a new update, with new weapons, systems, and a new race too. A precious gem!
@Trey my friend surprised me by buying Outlast a few days ago. We got as far as the very end of the Administration Block, but got stuck after being beat to death 5-6 times. If those jerks had a set pattern for where they walked we could've done it.

Definitely should play!

I secretly like adventure games (as long as they don't involve hunting for verbs!), and this is the latest one I've played. c:

@Santar: If your masculinity cannot withstand a mere hour of pink fluffiness, I dunno how much you had in the first place.

I've finally picked up D3 again and made a Crusader with the expansion pack

Perhaps I should pick up an X1 controller instead of a 360 controller and wait for the drivers.
