Civ5? I generally just go the fast expansion route with the Byzantines for the extra religion slot, strive for the first religion while building minimal army (big gold income good!) while focussing heavily on research, if all goes well I'm a tech area ahead of everyone else and destroy their puny horsemen with TANKS.
Aurora says, "Tharvis, why are you always breaking things?!" Artemis says, "You are so high maintenance, Tharvis, gosh." Tecton says, "It's still your fault, Tharvis."
I am really late to the party, but Civ V is consuming my life lately. I really wish it didn't take so long to play, but part of it is also how easily I get immersed. I both hate and love it - I started playing at 8ish, it's 1.20 am now.
I still haven't really figured out how to win but that's okay. I like just messing around and slowly learning how to do things.
When you are ready to conquer the world and play online, let me know!!
My fantastic brother gifted me with Analogue: A Hate Story on Steam for Christmas, and so far I've unlocked 2 of the 5 possible endings. It's an interactive graphic novel, and I'm torn between wanting to finish the other 3 and not wanting to be totally done so soon. Anyone else know of it?

DA:I looks amazing, to be fair, here's to hoping the full game will be as good as the test copy! (or better, that'd be even better!)

i liked DA2. The expansion packs of the game are really solid, even if the main story trailed a lot at the ending, and the whole Anders thing was just nuts, I liked the rest of the game. "Legacy" and "Mark of the Assassin" are really fun expansions though.

Okay, so I liked 2 for the characters and the story. I didn't like how it wasn't as expansive as Origins and the repetitive maps drove me absolutely insane. But one thing about the story I despised was that it was definitely targeted towards mage!Hawke... Like, I felt that you weren't getting the target gameplay unless you were a mage. WHICH SUUUUCKS because I was a rogue in Origins and Awakening.
Anyways, I've been keeping close tabs with all sorts of DA:I updates, and I am extremely excited to see what they have to release within the next few weeks about this game. It looks absolutely gorgeous, the gameplay (from what I've seen so far in the demos) is definitely going to be awesome. PLUS QUNARI IS A PLAYABLE RACE. AHHH.
I'll probably be shifting over to Starmourn, seeya there! discord: aciidwire#5240 Please check out my new art page!
I think it's awesome after playing LoL all this time. The spells and the fact that you're using gods from multiple mythologies and lores is pretty interesting. Also, compared to LoL, the 'Nexus' is actually an giant metal Minotaur you have to defeat as a boss (this is while the other team can still spawn and defend it). Also, the 'inhibitors' are phoenixes which can attack as well. I think it brings an interesting new level of challenge to the whole thing. Plus, playing as Thor is pretty fun. Although, pretty sure Poseidon will be the first god I actually buy when I accrue enough favour.
It's adorable, but it's really randomised when it comes to breeding and tenants and won't run if it's not the active window, a silly thing considering it's almost essentially an 75% idle game.
BGEE and BGIIEE are devouring my life.... I finished them but I cannot get enough of them.
Anyway, DA:Origins was great. Awakening sucked a bit, though. I did all the DLC, and it just got worse. Therefore, I managed to skip DA2 and all the disappointment therein, quite gladly. Let's see the third chapter.
ETA: Arabia (Extra copy of luxury means you can trade with like, everyone) or Babylon (Early science tile is OP) for peaceful-ish games, England for military games (Keeping longbowman's unique ability is silly).
Not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet, but I gave Path of Exile a shot on Steam. So far, it reminds me a lot of playing Diablo II on Battlenet back in its heyday. Aside from the...ah, "children" on the Global chat, it's been a lot of fun. My steam is waterspren if anyone is interested.
Also, picked up BGEE and am likely going to pick up BGIIEE. I know BGII better, so I couldn't say if the Enhanced Editions are worth the $20+ over what you can pick them up for on GOG.com, but they do play pretty smoothly and the bug fixes were nice. I miss the Fixpack and Tweaks mods though, admittedly.
"Gilgamesh, where are you hurrying to? You will never find that [everlasting] life for which you are looking. When the gods created man they allotted to him death, but life they retained in their own keeping. As for you, Gilgamesh, fill your belly with good things; day and night, night and day, dance and be merry, feast and rejoice. Let your clothes be fresh, bathe yourself in water, cherish the little child that holds your hand, and make your wife happy in your embrace; for this too is the lot of man."
@Kresslack: Still playing Smite? What's your IGN if so?
Picked it up last night, mostly positive aside from a few leavers here and there... First game managed to make their dual lane + mid rage quit, heh. Had a few others since then, too. It's worth a shot @Goggo, it's pretty decent so far.
PS. Not posting my IGN in this thread, I made it when I'd not slept for 50 hours and couldn't be bothered thinking of something 'decent' - Regretting it a lot, but no money to pay for a switch yet.
So ... who wants to fly massive machines of death with me?
Sure, the screenshot may not look like much... it's hard to capture action when you're trying to not die ... my plane was going down at that point, one engine dead, the second engine in the process of dieing. PBY-5 Catalina Come on, try War Thunder. It's free to play, and you can access it on steam (I could also drop a referal link, but, I'm not that kind of person)

About FVII who heated the submarine weapon raise a hand please.
I would recommend BGEE and BGIIEE to anyone. They are great. From there, Bioware did not invent anything. I liked Mass Effect I much more than MEII for example. Let's hope for DA:Inquisition. Finger crossed. Meanwhile, I still have to finish Darksouls. Keep playing, guys!
I remember grinding for weeks on FF7 to get 3 mimes, quad casted knights of the round and mimed it 3 times, and died because I forgot to equip the underwater materia for that guy. Fun times.
