Sigh, would it kill you to raid Eleusis once in a while? I mean, I realize you've gotta keep that ignorance RP going, but honestly! We'd raid you, but half your players log out whenever we do.
how many years of 'our patrons are not interested in us actively pursuing this axis of conflict' is it gonna take for Eleusis to wise up, i wonder.
(folks from both factions tried to make fetch happen, but alas - it wasn't made to be)
Caring about different things is fine, no one is faulting that, nor would I.
However, leading an assault on an enemy faction over a minipet, which can easily lead to the deaths of your allies (not to mention taking the lives of the people you're fighting) - is absolutely a joke to the RP of the city completely, imo.
(That's not to say this instance was over a bear, I have no idea, not making that assumption. Just speaking to the mindset that people apparently believe Tesha exemplifies due to some of the comments).
Different play-styles and thought processes, nothing wrong with that. I play Atalkez to be a ton more serious than Tesha plays.

Ugh, you're one of those people *eyeroll*
WHAT people?!?!

It's a little hard to raid Eleusis when they have like 30+ people online most of the day and Targ has like 5-10 fighters probably
At 9pm GMT yesterday Targ had some 25 people online, about 15 were dawnblade, i wanted to split us up and send some love to ashtan, mhaldor and hashan, but I couldn't gain any traction on it.
Eleusis just isn't of interest to the dawnspear right now, though. And as a player, it's really frustrating to walk into a room with literally only 3 peopleand be insta-locked and dead before you can type your three letter alias for duanathar.
He is a coward who has to bring two friends as backup to jump people hunting.

In risk of getting pwnt. You can do the same a dwc knight if you get your dragons to spam impatience curses.

The real question for me is why we have to get some artificial conflict going when there are so many wonderful options available elsewhere. Isn't it completely pointless for Targ and Eleusis having a conflict at a time when Mhaldor is still in existence and exterminating around and Ashtan announcing the world's end on a constant basis?

There's a reason Mhaldor is currently known as AFKdor or Smalldor, and Asiador is dead.
Ashtan is Ashtan, nothing new there.
- (Eleusis): Ellodin says, "The Fissure of Echoes is Sarathai's happy place." - With sharp, crackling tones, Kyrra tells you, "The ladies must love you immensely." - (Eleusian Ranger Techs): Savira says, "Most of the hard stuff seem to have this built in code like: If adventurer_hitting_me = "Sarathai" then send("terminate and selfdestruct")." - Makarios says, "Serve well and perish." - Xaden says, "Xaden confirmed scrub 2017."

True enough I suppose. Though I haven't put much work into testing it yet.

I was just talking from a roleplayer's perspective, though. It just makes so very little sense to push Eleusis and Targ into a conflict, and the Zaphar/Silverveil thing didn't light the fuse at all. I appreciate @Rangor and his efforts to carry the conflict in, but it kinda makes an over-endeavoured impression to me personally, and I don't see the mass of Eleusians following that sort of lead. Some sort of real incentive would certainly turn the tide, but I don't see that right now, so basically, Mhaldor seems like the best option.

Me and @Morzakai used to truelock in 4-ish secs as double sp bard. RIP that quitter.

He's doing Doctors without borders, I think?

I'd like to keep 2-tank-level ass kicking for something a little more serious than that reasoning.
Hashan is the only faction we can fight 90% of the time. Would like to keep the respect between factions.
Have you met Tesha? The only thing worse then killing Hucklebeary or Raspbeary would be to kill Ada or Aurora.
Yeah, but I find this entire logic to be a massive joke.
No offense to Tesha, but I think acting like a minipet is more important than the lives of people is a joke.
What? Are you talking hypothetically? Haha, we raided because reasons and dropped a second tank because reasons.
Also, my opinion is Eleusis just isn't particularly enjoyable to fight against, and our time zones don't really align anyways. No reason to force a conflict if it's unnatural (lol) and unenjoyable.
(not an attack on Eleusis or anything, 8v25 just isn't my thing, especially with Eleusis' LOS)
When your city falls back onto it, despite having loads more numbers, it also results in what you have now of no one wanting to bother. Not to mention insta font activation and worldburning.
Y'know, what everyone else (I think) tries to do sometimes? Limit numbers and try and at least consider making it fun for the other guys, too (I have a shitty time so I don't get to raid much, but I always give this a go if I can!).
I don't get why people get so offended at the idea of just saying 'Yo, we have enough, it's okay.' Just switch it around so you're not only inviting the same people all the time, and mostly, people seem to take it just fine!

I agree 100% with that concerning the team on the offensive.
defensive you use whoever you have in my opinion. Can't really tell soldiers not to defend their city.
Otherwise skirmish if you want fair numbers on both sides
I remember getting yelled at for making the agreement with Anedhel that we wouldn't LoS if they didn't, despite everyone in Hashan who was present wanting that too, so we could all have fun.

Simply because they did it when I was away and i missed out on fun.
I shall not forgive.

Nobody wants to see another CTF (or any other event) where two cities team up to win.
Cascades of quicksilver light streak across the firmament as the celestial voice of Ourania intones, "Oh Jarrod..."

i'm a rebel
:skull:
- won't fight you toe to toe cause too many affs coming in
- won't fight you cause LoS
- won't fight you cause you have too many
So what are they to do exactly?
Not saying any of the above has not bothered me in the past but damn

Was great. Would do it again.
