I really wish/hope they would keep it being the god that you worship if you're in an order. It's probably not realistic given how they've framed things, but I thought that it was a really neat touch that helped to make one's engagement with a particular divine more meaningful.
Seems Spire's situation was forgotten during all of this too XD
The Spire situation was actually meant to stand on its own for the reason why you really don't want biased gods calling the shots when it comes to your (im)mortal soul.

True and a lot of us had deduced that, but what I meant was that it wasnt brought up. We all expected sneers and fingers pointed at Babel XD
I thought the weird thing about Ugrach being allowed to take over for Thoth is that Slith was being praised for being stronger than Thoth and things like that... but then Ugrach gets to take over and he's weaker than both Thoth and Slith since he's been killable in UW by dragons for a long time.
Ugrach's there as a punishment, though. Its not really 'getting to take over' the way I see it, since he otherwise would probably not have pursued such, and he is very much subject to the Gods now if he wishes to spare his son from a well-deserved fatality. (Though, considering all they did to him, I think death would have been kind)
And the moment he leaves or does anything suspicious then the original sentence resumes and Slith gets to die on top of all the fun torture he just went through.
And you won't understand the cause of your grief...
Also the fact that he was a regular NPC that you could go and kill doesn't/shouldn't detract from his power in terms of lore. He's powerful enough to scare the crap out of a Demigod, and you can't bash those either.
Yes, Slith's punishment is far worse then death except they took his mind from him as well so he doesn't know what he lost. He really should be much easier to kill then Ugrach was.

Well, depends. Gaia's bit was a curse but also a protection against anyone who might try to displace him from his throne. Which could well include people trying to kill him

We kill Ugrach, he's still the king (for now). You can kill Yudhi and he's still head of the conclave.
I think it was more against someone usurping the crown or even him trying to leave. He's tethered to it.
I heard that every time you talk about Khalas they push his return back by 10 IG years.
Guess he'll be back in 16733 AF, then.
- (Eleusis): Ellodin says, "The Fissure of Echoes is Sarathai's happy place." - With sharp, crackling tones, Kyrra tells you, "The ladies must love you immensely." - (Eleusian Ranger Techs): Savira says, "Most of the hard stuff seem to have this built in code like: If adventurer_hitting_me = "Sarathai" then send("terminate and selfdestruct")." - Makarios says, "Serve well and perish." - Xaden says, "Xaden confirmed scrub 2017."
Nah, nothing to do with where he is and everything to do with what he did despite several warnings to the contrary.
And I love too Be still, my indelible friend That love soon might end You are unbreaking And be known in its aching Though quaking Shown in this shaking Though crazy Lately of my wasteland, baby That's just wasteland, baby
