    It's PROBABLY Ok.

Note: this advice may be laden with sarcasm

  • Yes he does. DOWN WITH ATALKEZ.

    Targ is hiring, just saying.

Also in regards to those bounties: my idea was lucrative gold for people so that out younger army members actually make the effort to try them. Seeing the one person you have a shot at killing is only 3k or 5k seems counter productive to getting those people involved.

Veil or not, combatants that fight regularly are going to be higher just because of the skill required to take them down. Raiding will be a hefty bounty as well by virtue of murdering people. Just my outlook!
That's why I don't take any bounties.. not because I suck but because I want young people to learn lol

  • Until Brohai gets that bill!

    :)

Penwize has cowardly forfeited the challenge to mortal combat issued by Atalkez.
  • @Ryzeth no we're not bankrupting the city so we can have higher bounties than Targ!

We have hundreds of thousands in the security coffers. Reducing bounties to £5k encourages exactly no one to take them. Hashan needs encouragement to fight and more than just their name in the city logs.

  • You can assign a yearly amount of credits to the bounties, while gold is drawn from the security minister's funds. There's no way to bankrupt the city through bounties. Just agree on a yearly budget for him to work with, perhaps? People aren't going to come after even middle-level combatants for just 5000 gold.

I don't know why or even if there are bounties for 5k, as far as I knew Ryzeth raised them not dropped them, and they were already above 5k. We're not paying 50k a bounty though. I know how the funds work, it was partly a joke. Security has a budget of course, but it's not enough to spend 50k a bounty or 30k for easy ones.

  • There's definitely bounties for 5k on the board which are pretty confusing.

Indeed there are, it's pretty pointless tbh

Edit -  14 of them to be precise, some of which are heavily artied and veil owners. Not wishing to drag this into public, but the bounties were all dropped by Hashan the moment I stepped down as MoS. There needs to be some incentive here

  • I honestly just take bounties because I want to kill someone.  Whether that is five gold or five million.

And I'm not so certain having a ridiculous bounty on a Farrah type individual is going to persuade a fair weather bounty hunter to try tackling her if they already know they're not in that skill bracket.
  • Yes, but at 35k someone is more likely to try if they are hesitant, than for 5k

  • A pike with the head of Rangor on it says, "What is called evil is simply the drive for advancement,
for greatness. We seek, through discipline and pain, to spur the advancement of nothing less than
    sentient life."

You say in a contemplative voice, "That it is."

You peer at a pike with the head of Rangor on it unscrupulously.

    ---

Essentially a spiked pole, someone has placed the head of Rangor on top of this pike. The head is
decaying quickly, and the eyes are already gone, likely devoured by flies.
A pike with the head of Rangor on it looks weak and feeble.
    He has (undef)% health remaining.
It has about a month of usefulness left.
    He weighs about 10 pounds.
    You see nothing in it.

  • R.I.P Spire.

    Spire Hayabusa (male Xoran).
He is 419 years old, having been born on the 23rd of Daedalan, 297 years after the fall of the Seleucarian Empire.
He is an eternally lost soul, having been denied resurrection by the Lord of Oblivion.
He is an extremely credible character.

    Okay! :)
Maybe percentage of credits went to pay for that??

I assumed, was he already retired or perma shrubbed ?
  • May be that Spire is the old character of someone who moved onto being a Celani, and this is part of ongoing events. They just didn't want to involve an existing, played character who wanted to be retired, since it'd be one of those special things they said they wouldn't do, so they picked a character that literally could not be played anymore.

I don't know Spire or the player behind him, so this is all wild, completely unfounded speculation.
  • Wtf @Atalkez only 10k?! I've robbed a ton of Targossians inside your city! A veiled serpent deserves better. :(
  • I liked reading that event. I have no idea what it is leading up to but it's got a pretty creepy tone. I'm excited to see what this Hunter shadow guy is all about.

Also, @Aesgar yelled at me for giving out mangos to @Eguzki during the shrine skirmishes with Targossas hahahahah.  :p
