@Asmodron I still miss the Spiritwalkers . Nostalgia more than anything else, probably, but I really enjoyed them when I was a novice, and no other House has ever had quite the same effect on me as that one.
And you won't understand the cause of your grief...
Must've been nice for it to have an effect. By the time I arrived, it was dead as that roadkill raccoon that sat down the street for a month before city workers cleaned it up.
I am retired and log into the forums maybe once every 2 months. It was a good 20 years, live your best lives, friends.
The Spiritwalkers just had such a badly dealt hand in terms of...everything.
They were one of the very few (and I mean -very- few) Houses based on RP, the RP being the contact with the spirit world and all that is spiritual. Sadly, this concept wasnt really able to flourish in Achaea for numerous reasons
There was no substance to spirit (pun unintended). Unlike other RP concepts such as Chaos which had not only an actual plane with it's own Lord to visit, but a God associated with it as well as a city devoted to it, Spirit simply did not. There was no plane to actually go and see, no real 'spirits' to commune with for interactions, no strong following, nada. It was very hard for an organization to play it up, and the Spiritwalkers tried their hardest.
Secondly, we can take classes. There was no real class or mechanic that illustrated 'Spirit power'. Yes some could argue that some skills here and there did, but it was all very 'lite'. Shaman, which was suppose to be the 'core' focus of spirituality...didnt even feel that spiritual back then (Pre-Spiritlore) and was an -insanely- boring class to play. When Spiritlore was finally developed and brought to Shamans...it was the equivalent of a firetruck appearing after the ashes were being swept away: Way too late.
Even with all these obstacles, the concept of Spirits and Spiritwalkers really did have some beauty to it. I think one of my favorites was the idea of a Vision quest. When I was still a newcomer to the game, I really had no idea how I was suppose to get a "Vision Quest". It wasnt until a member later explained to me in tells the idea of Roleplaying it and simply developing a story and submitting it that I finally got how it worked, and it was one of my first and perhaps favorite RP experiences. I actually wrote about meditating, see a dream and as all Walkers were expected to do; found my spirit guardian. It was always very interesting to see what people would come up with, from the bloody to the serene.
I think things really finally looked up when Apollyon took over as patron. I know a lot were against the idea but He really tried His best to bring the Spirit realm alive, especially with the introduction of the Higher spirit Hierarchy: The Wlo. The spirit realm was given actual entities, names, structure and best of all a storyline. It honestly was amazing to hear more of the story of the Wlo each time after a summoning ritual. It basically felt like having watched an episode of GoT and demanding to know what happens next week.
Sadly, I dont think any of this even exists anymore, and part of me wonders if it is for the best. While fun, there was just no real substance or attention given to the idea other than Apollyon (and frankly I think the Wlo died when He left anyway). It's just a shame that an RP focus like that just couldnt further flourish really.

Weren't you the one that reset all the bounties to much lower values? Who's going to take a bounty on a veiled Mhaldorian for 5k??
Yeah. I was putting the annoying as fk to hunt veiled people at 50k, but Atalkez just likes to spend gold. I put people like Mizik, Arcani, etc. at more like 10-20k. Novices and non-coms without veils at 1-5k. Veiled people at 30k and 50k if a veiled serpent or a veiled good combatant. Still good prices though.

I have undressed a god.
I am fairly certain that it is meant there are two heads... but to me it seems to indicate that @Aegoth just has a big head.
