Yes. Houses get 5% of credit purchases, cities get 3%.
then that 'citizen' must have brought around 3000 to 4000 credits.
If it's +60 in the city logs, it's a 2000 credit purchase.

I had other, more important matters to attend to. Hence guards.
Aurora says, "Tharvis, why are you always breaking things?!" Artemis says, "You are so high maintenance, Tharvis, gosh." Tecton says, "It's still your fault, Tharvis."
Its always been a "thing" that it's extremely lame to CFH on one enemy person in your city. It would have been much more fun for both of us to fight. I wouldn't blame him if he CFH'd if he was losing, though.

Why? What's the point of all those expensive guards if you don't use them?
Tharos, the Announcer of Delos shouts, "It's near the end of the egghunt and I still haven't figured out how to pronounce Clean-dat-hoo."
You know, a sociologist would have a field day with this gaming culture. One day CFH is a nuclear option for raiding, the next its a legitimate tactic for a single individual.
Eirher way, you should never expect a 1v1 in an enemy city. Even if he didn't call for guards, he could've likely announced to CT that so-and-so was in, and you'll have people showing up to kill you too.
"Mummy, I'm hungry, but there's no one to eat! :C"

Why would it have been more welcome to have a city team up on you as opposed to one person and guards? That seems arbitrary. You didn't ask for a duel, so he has no obligation to give you one. Especially in the situation where you're an enemy inside his city.
If you had challenged him to a duel and then he ganked you, or asked you to come to his city and then called for help, the situation would be different.

I would have expected a gang of Hashani to gank me, it just felt unsatisfying to have Tharvis immediately call for help. When Santar would jump me in Targ alone I would engage him, I wouldn't just call for help. I guess this is a difference in opinion, but this isnt the first time this opinion has been put forth. You're just being needlessly contrarian.
There's also the thing that you can't ever know for sure if the raider is truly alone/going to stay alone. I've engaged single raiders on my own many times and more often than not, "single raiders" turned into a group after a few moments.
And in the cases where the single raider actually stayed alone, he often wasn't out for an interesting fight either, but would just run around the city and be a general annoyance/waste of time.
A raid really isn't an ideal setting when looking for fair 1v1 fights...
Alright alright, back to quotes. Thanks to the community for correcting me on the pendulum swing that is Achaean combat culture.
Sorry, but you're still completely out of phase with the pendulum. Right now we're swung right over in the "berate Talysin" corner and it will take another while to go back to "post new quotes".
Alright alright, back to quotes. Thanks to the community for correcting me on the pendulum swing that is Achaean combat culture.
Since when has Hashan ever been part of the mainstream "combat culture"? Each city can defend their city however they please. Sorry that your expectations were violated, but you don't get to dictate how a city responds as and enemy.
Since when has not calling guards ever been a part of "mainstream combat culture"? The only people complaining about that are the solo and small group raiders who feel that enemy cities should politely oblige them when they come in to cause trouble.
"There's only 1 of them, I guess I'll just 1v1 him here in my city. Surely he won't just run from me or call his friends." -- said no city defender, ever.
When there's a city enemy in your city, you kill the city enemy in the quickest, most efficient way possible, because the enemy is there to kill you (or escape) in the quickest, most efficient way possible. That could mean bringing a group of 4 of my player allies in, because we're certainly have more potential for coordination, but that requires my player allies to be prepared, attentive, and standing by. When it's a surprise visit by a single enemy that will probably run the moment you make contact, and my player allies might be hunting, might be AFK, might have varying degrees of skill and readiness to respond, where as guards are always on standby and you know exactly how effective they are, the choice is obvious.
I'll never understand why a select minority tries to attach this stigma to city defenders making use of all the resources at their disposal. It sounds completely asinine if you try to apply the same logic to any other aspect of the game. "Why do people always touch shield when I break their limbs? It really takes the fun out of this." "Why do raiders always double-block to stop our beckons? Man up, sissies."
-- Grounded in but one perspective, what we perceive is an exaggeration of the truth.
