Sir Hhaos Thorngage, Lotus Grand Master says in a soft, raspy voice, "GIVE <item> TO GRED."

Fettan gives a golden gryphon to Gred, the Hashan humgii.
Gred, the Hashan humgii frantically takes a golden gryphon and shoves it into his huge mouth, swallowing it whole.
Hhaos's eyes widen in disbelief as he shouts, "Oh my GODS!"
Fettan exclaims, "Oh my god!"
Sir Hhaos Thorngage, Lotus Grand Master says in a soft, raspy voice, "I was joking."

I was half reading this at first and I was on my lunch break. I could not stop laughing. Laughed until I cried. Seriously. I needed that. Made my day better.
help file says that you need to witness within 90 seconds. I get to a shrine after exactly sixty seconds (after a second message from the herald to the order channel) and am unable to witness, so I send an issue asking about it:
Message #1562 Sent by Meletus 12/10/16:41 Greetings! In regard to issue 71028, the timer for allowing a witness for defilement goes away after 60 seconds, which is why the herald announces multiple defilings by the same person on occasion if they take too long!
ah, okay, cool. Help file is wrong, I'll send a bug:
Message #1566 Sent by Achaea 12/11/17:00 Your bug report (detail: the file HELP WITNESSING says that the time between when a shrine is defiled and when it can be witnessed is 90 seconds, when the actual time is 60) - has been removed because it is not a bug (usually meaning that this is the way things are intended to be). Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience or misunderstanding that may be involved. The following notes were included: It is indeed 90 seconds!
because the rules surrounding all this weren't confusing enough
I still don't understand why shrine stuff is a thing. I don't know any other games where you make progress against the enemy faction by mindlessly killing NPCs for hours to offset their mindless killing of NPCs for hours, with the added bonus of 'Now I can get shanked while trying to do something totally unrelated that I enjoy'.
(Eleusis): Deladan says, "Is it normal for Cyrene to pay in alcohol?"
- (Eleusis): Ellodin says, "The Fissure of Echoes is Sarathai's happy place." - With sharp, crackling tones, Kyrra tells you, "The ladies must love you immensely." - (Eleusian Ranger Techs): Savira says, "Most of the hard stuff seem to have this built in code like: If adventurer_hitting_me = "Sarathai" then send("terminate and selfdestruct")." - Makarios says, "Serve well and perish." - Xaden says, "Xaden confirmed scrub 2017."
Saeva Aristata, Herald of Iniquity says desperately in Mhaldorian, "There's... no... air in ... this room.. Mathonwy's fat... is.. soaking it...all up."
The stars twinkle in the clear night sky. Standing atop a raised marble dais an imposing cast-iron forge dominates, fire and heat radiating from this massive shrine to the Smith. Resting here with a haughty expression is a golden gryphon. A white coyote pup plays restlessly with his shadow. Puffing out his chest in an attempt to look tough, a young black boar eyes passers-by suspiciously. There are 1261 potash crystals in 137 groups here. A blue-banded falcon flies just above you here. Dagnir reclines next to the fire, patting his hammer contently.
You see exits leading north, northeast, east, southeast, southwest, west, and northwest.

You say in a quiet voice, "Heya!"
@Halos nods his head at you.
You wave your hand in greeting.
You say in a quiet voice, "How are you?"
Elphaba says , "HE WAS TALKING TO ME NOT YOU."
You say in a quiet a voice, "Actually I was taking to Halos.
Elphaba says, "NO YOU WERE TALKING TO ME. "
Halos says to you,"No."
(I thrust kick her from the room)
Halos says, "Thank you for asking."
