I played an alt there once to kind of break the frustration I had on Arador at the time and Ashtan showed up. I offered to help by webbing at least or a bit of damage but was forcibly escorted out of the city to safety and reprimanded for even asking since I was a novice. Hell, in Mhaldor we use novices as meat shields. One DSL on that Grunt before be dies is one less on me!
This so much. Most orgs here kill me with forbidding newbs from participating in combat. For most newbies, if they get a taste of it, they may stick around for the adrenaline rush instead of freaking out and leaving.

  • I thought it was well known that combat is a cardinal sin for Cyrenian novices and that it's a formative mindset.

-15:18:56- Exelethril tells you, "Out of willpower."
-15:19:03- You tell Sir Exelethril Ithilien, of the Spire, "Then die."
-15:19:13- Exelethril tells you, "To you? Not likely."

Ladies and gentlemen! The honorable Sir Exelethril Ithilien, of the Spire! Holy Knight of Cyrene!

    Ah. That explains it.

I don't get it, running out of willpower from dragonhealing in a 2 versus 1 with you and Cathy versus getting backstabbed while hunting is dishonourable/hypocritical in what way?

    You have slain Cathy.

    You have slain Cathy.
She was such a nice girl, now we shall mourn her passing.

It was your choice to hunt UW knowing dishonorable serpents might try to do dishonorable things to you. It was also your choice to flee UW and then go after Cathy in Azdun, and kill her twice.
Followed by a pretty drawn out fight between you and myself (for the most part) - which was amusing to say the least!
Your RP is more befitting of a serpent, and you should think about joining us. :D

Well, once was just him killing me, the other I was just stabbing him with stuff until he killed me while you were there too. I'm so good at this :D

Well, I don't think that's what he's getting at, I think he would moreso mean that Honour would dictate finishing the fight, win or lose.

  • It's no different than Terav excusing himself because he ran out of health. If you don't want to run out of willpower, don't whore dragonheal.

Why would honour dictate finishing a fight you didn't start?
He had gotten away, we weren't chasing, we were going to go play in Annwyn, and he came and found me - so he did re-initialise it.

Terav allegedly ran from a duel because he "ran out of health elixir", borrowed artefacts, had his limbs reset, then came back to continue it. That's totally different to deciding you don't want to fight any more because you ran out of willpower after two Serpents decided to jump you just because you were hunting in a dangerous area.
I agree with you, except that he came to get us this time (or me at least!), which is cool, it was fun! But I do think that if you go back and re-engage in the fight, honour would dictate you stick it out, win or lose.

I could be wrong though, after all, serpentz :D

The "fight" started as an unfair 2v1 in a free PK area. Followed by him leaving UW, and then deciding to go after Cathy, likely because he knew she was the least tanky of us two.
If you wish to excuse yourself from a fight then do so, don't then TELL me "Out of willpower." followed by some snarky comment like "[dieing] To you? Not likely."
I would have been very pleased with "You are a laughable opponent incapable of defeating me. I will not waste my time with you, serpent." or something akin to that.
But instead, "Out of willpower." followed by you running with your tail between your legs back to Cyrene.

THAT is the point I was getting at.

I don't understand how you can fail a double backstab gank on someone bashing DKs. I did enjoy the 30k you dropped when you tried it on me though. P.s. Living your life to backstab gank people bashing is pretty pathetic.
We're just having some fun, if you bash in the UW, you gotta expect stuff to happen!

  • Most DKs don't hit that hard, and backstab doesn't do all that much damage, doesn't seem that unlikely to survive as an artied dragon. Also can't really go for delphinium backstabs into delphinium doublestab because the DK will just wake them up.

Hence fun! I'm not trying to be a jerk, just to have some fun, get some practice (and some heads if I can!)
