Bladefire was the Templar 3rd skill back in the old old guild days. It was pretty imbalanced iirc though and eventually got removed. There used to be a couple of amber swords floating around, but I don't know what happened to them. Pretty sure Paine had one in his shop in Ashtan for a really long time.
word has it that bladefire was given to templars to combat the imbalance of power caused by the kharon empire that used to camp in shallam (and the skill broke the server a few times, apparently)
Aurora says, "Tharvis, why are you always breaking things?!" Artemis says, "You are so high maintenance, Tharvis, gosh." Tecton says, "It's still your fault, Tharvis."

Most of it wasn't OP, though the bladefire paralysis ability was insane, as there was no pill to cure it - you entered a command, like WRITHE now, whose balance was just about the templar's balance time. edit: I want to say it was RELAX?
What was really annoying was those freaking devo shrines you couldn't remove. Everywhere. EVERYWHERE.
At least priests couldn't attack. Made up for it somewhat.
Also, amber swords were the newbie swords and the only ones given by the system. The rest of the templar swords had to be given by the divines, iirc, for most of the time it was around? I vaguely remember devotion shrines having something to do with getting swords later on.
And no, I don't have descriptions. I didn't log anything back then. Don't think my client COULD log anything. It sure as hell couldn't make triggers.
@Tecton, are the potted flowers meant to smell like anything when you SMELL POT/FLOWER, or are they meant to be in atmospheric messages? The way the announce post was written makes me think it's the former.
Atmospheric messages, but they should have a SMELL line too! If not, I'll add it in.

They don't have a smell line at the moment! They also seem to reset to the owner's inventory even when dropped in a house, unfortunately.

Was an edge case with the housing drops - fixed now. And they've all had smell lines for about an hour now!

I've heard bladefire mentioned a number of times, and generally understand what it was, but I'd love a breakdown of what the skill really contained and how it worked. I think it create this like "golden age of knights" mythos-like thing. Like when Magi had worldwide cataclysm Cool to talk about and it creates a sense of depth and awe for newbies. I think.

Let it remain that then. Bladefire wasn't as well designed as the current skills. Was kind of a pain. Stick with a version of this:
"We once raised shrines, not to Gods, but to devotion and Good. Through those shrines, we summoned swords and infused them with powers from a skill called Bladefire. The art of these shrines, swords, and bladefire is lost to us now, but whispers and hints of this power still persist to this day."
Sounds cool that way, at least.
Edit: to clarify, it's the mystery that surrounds it that captures the imagination - not the skill itself.
Is there a way to delineate between dolomite grains and the ingredient grain? I stock both minerals and ingredients in my shops. I know there is the a- prefix for alchemical metals.

Can't you just use the term 'dolomite'?
Looks more like his issue is getting out the grain ingredient, not the dolomite.
@Jukilian is correct. I am trying to price "grain" and it keeps pricing the dolomite grains. As I stock other ingredients I cannot just use "ingredient". I cannot figure any other keyword to delineate the two.

You can price the exact groups. So either check II or IH and price based off the group ID, and it should price the rest according to what the group is that you're pricing.
I originally started doing that with scrolls and other items before they became more defined. It helps a bit with stocking different quantities of sigil groups etc as well.
(D.M.A.): Cooper says, "Kyrra is either the most innocent person in the world, or the girl who uses the most innuendo seemingly unintentionally but really on purpose."

They're generally pretty terrible compared to today's standards!

Here you go. Aetolia still has it, but fleshed out to be decent.

Do left limbs always cure before right, or am I just experiencing a lot of lucky curing coin flips.
Lastly, how many points does it take to get the phase (@) by your name? I am thinking probably 2000, but I am so close to 1500, I pray that it's that.
Sorry about multiple questions. Just a lot on my mind already this morning.
Multiclass: The thread is from October 2013: http://forums.achaea.com/discussion/1595/multi-classing/p1 May have been initially announced a bit before then, but we're coming up to two years now.
Points: Not sure, but probably 2000.
