  • Go strength straight away, unless you're willing to commit to using your free reincarnation to respec to strength after bashing to a decent level. Ultimately you'll want a strength spec though.
  • Okay, helping a heraldry client and I cannot figure how to put a damn caparison on a horse..

    Anyone know the command?
  • MelodieMelodie Port Saint Lucie, Florida
    5110h, 7102m, 22330e, 28450w exkdb-whistle mount destrier
You put your fingers in your mouth and let out a high-pitched whistle, then hope for the best.
A dappled grey destrier trots in with head high.
    5110h, 7102m, 22280e, 28450w xkdb-
    You have recovered equilibrium. (3.382s)
    5110h, 7102m, 22306e, 28450w exkdb-get caparison from satchel
You take a violet and gold caparison from a burnished leather satchel.
    5110h, 7102m, 22306e, 28450w exkdb-give caparison to destrier
You are far too selfish to give anything away.
    5110h, 7102m, 22330e, 28450w exkdb-sl
(svo): Won't keep selfishness up anymore.
    (generosity)
A feeling of generosity spreads throughout you.
    5110h, 7102m, 22330e, 28450w xkdb-
    You have recovered equilibrium. (0.382s)
    5110h, 7102m, 22330e, 28450w exkdb-give caparison to destrier
With careful hands you unfold a violet and gold caparison along the back of a dappled grey destrier, smoothing the heavy linens until the rich colours lay smoothly.

That said, this can't be done to every mount. Only those from the year 650 mount seller have the ability to "hold" them. I got one, collared it, and eventually customised it, thus why mine looks a bit different.
And I love too                                                                          Be still, my indelible friend
That love soon might end                                                         You are unbreaking
And be known in its aching                                                      Though quaking
Shown in this shaking                                                             Though crazy
Lately of my wasteland, baby                                                 That's just wasteland, baby

    Thanks, booo...but thanks
  • would two different healing items with two different ticks help you heal faster or just cause trouble on healing?
  • edited July 2015
The more sources of healing you have, the better.

The only exception is certain sources of health regen for shamans and occultists (and maybe sylvans?). Berkana runes, artefact regen rings, Ri'shen attunement for shamans, regen transmogrifications for occultists, and possibly regen propagations for sylvans all contribute to the same type of health regen, which is capped at level 3. So if you're an occultist with a level 2 regen ring and health regen from transmogrification for example (or a level 1 regen ring and level 2 health regen from transmogrification), a berkana rune won't do anything because you're already at the cap. Outside of those classes the cap doesn't matter because there's no way to get more than level 3 anyways.
  • I'm mhun serpent with dex spec. I took nimble and the dexterity trait. Do I need light stepper as well or can I take crit chance as my third trait without gimping my PvP?
  • edited July 2015
The latter, if you want -slightly- more crits.

  • Anyone know offhand if dragonform overriding poses is intentional?

  • Pretty sure it is, admins no trusterino

  • Is there a targettable name for karmic items? If I have a library book and a karmic book in my inventory, I want to be able to drop/give the karmic book without juggling or using numbers. I tried DROP KARMIC and DROP KARMA, and neither of those work.
  • Usually you'd just use INFO INVENTORY (or II) to get the specific ID# for the book (like book12345) and then just target that.

    I don't think there's a catch-all for karmic items.
  • Does anyone have numbers for the effect of dexterity on pickpocket? Same question for garrote? I know more dex = good, but I'm curious how much.
  • edited July 2015
Not sure if it's exactly right, but a 6% balance reduction per point of dex above 12 (for garrote against denizens only, not players) should at least be a very close estimate (within 0.1 seconds in all cases). It's actually 7% instead of 6% for garrotes below a certain speed (not sure exactly what speed it starts at), but now that whip stats aren't random, I'm not sure anyone will be slow enough for that.

It should affect success chances of pickpocket as well, but I don't have any specific details. Dexterity doesn't seem to have a huge effect on pickpocket.

Are Orbs of Confinement activated/deactivated from anywhere, or do you have to be in the council chambers to do so?

I was wondering if there was an active monk limb counter out there. I've had about two monks in the House as my unofficial proteges I'm teaching in combat ask me if there's anything they can use and I can't really find anything for them besides @Jacen 's Excel file which doesn't help too much if they aren't great coders.

Don't need something super great (just accurate enough so they have a rough idea when a limb is prepped without sawbones) but I can't exactly tell them to do what I did with health values because kicking and punching are totally different values (while jabbing with a rapier isn't) and I assume it could get a bit wonky for them. Any indication where to look or who to ask, or even hand-outs would be appreciated. :open_mouth:

When SVO becomes free and open source I believe it has one as an add-on if you don't have any luck finding anything.

Yes but it just really sucks telling someone to wait two weeks or the only other option is to buy it now because no monk will share their limb counter or is using SVO.

Not that it should really bother me but I just dislike not being able to help newbies and having to tell them you have to buy this to compete. I am glad though svo is going open source. I just told them to wait. Thanks. :)

Activate while standing on the city improvement.

  • Did denizens get tougher at some point? I played with my serpent for the first time in a while, and it took more garrotes than it did before to defeat a Ganeve Warrior?

Yes, their health pools have been increased.

Penwize has cowardly forfeited the challenge to mortal combat issued by Atalkez.

They generally have 3 times as much health (and increased gold/xp as well), but you also have battlerage now, which should increase your damage output by 25-45% (the lower end if you're artied with max stats, since arties and stats don't increase battlerage damage).
  • On the denizen topic..did the dragon talisman drop rate change? I swear i get alot less now than a couple of months ago

  • The drop rate got nerfed/changed a lot, yes.

So there's a shop in Delos that now has a locked door. Are the owners able to lock them like that, or does that mean they haven't paid their taxes? Haven't seen this before... usually just end up seeing the shop "closed by city government" when the taxes aren't kept up with.

How do I change the description of a Delosian shop again? At the property office or....?

Deposit 10,000 gold into the GODS account at your nearest bank, and drop me an email with your new description.
  • You seize your undyed arrows and carefully apply darkshade to their tips, while  name$ = colouring them grey.

Is that due to a typo or a bug? Arrows in quiver appear as they should after using envenom.
  • TharvisTharvis The Land of Beer and Chocolate!
@Calaurn file a TYPO about that. Bug would be if the command didn't work or worked incorrectly, TYPO is if the return message has a flaw
Aurora says, "Tharvis, why are you always breaking things?!"
Artemis says, "You are so high maintenance, Tharvis, gosh."
Tecton says, "It's still your fault, Tharvis."
