Has to be better than no second. At least it's stoppable by now. I mean, a simple party call to web or prone them will stop it. Also, does that mean being proned or hindered -after- it's begun stops it, or only when the command is entered? Can you initiate earrings, get knocked down, stand, and still be whisked away?
It's 1.5 seconds, and you can continue actions during it. So it essentially is a PTV that's 1.5 seconds. It takes you off eq for the duration of the wind-up I believe, so prone is a reasonable counter, alongside entanglements. Certain people (cough Jhui) have faster eq recoveries than the wind-up, so prone is not so viable for them.
I'd rather it just consume eq until either success or fail
I haven't tested very much but my educated guess would be that it's all one eq that is initiated at the beginning of the travel. Maybe like 3.5 seconds. Before, it would be shorter equilibrium right after the travel and so diadem, quick-witted, drs, etc would just shorten the 2ish seconds after travel. Now the equilibrium is initiated before the travel so the longer total equilibrium time is reduced by a larger absolute value (because of % reduction) while the 1.5 second windup is still subtracted as EQ time causing the time between teleport to eq to be shorter.
Or something. The numbers are just guesses.
Of course it is also possible that there is a separate eq for windup which is lengthened when the actual teleportation goes through. Unlikely, but would have to ask Jhui who outspeeds earring windup and gets eq before teleport.
What I like about it is coordinated pre-earringing when jumping someone leads to less eq after the earring compared to before if they have any equilibrium reduction.

Diadem+drs+quick-wit doesn't give you eq back before earring.
EQ gem will get you eq back before if all you have is diadem (maybe even without diadem).
Staff+diadem+drs+quick-wit will get it back before.
If demon fury is 33% speedup (i forget if this is it or not), treat it like eq gem, so it'd work with that as well.
How do inter-faction events happen? Things like blowing up the Aurora statue in Hashan, or destroying the Miramar shrine and stuff. Do you just come up with an idea and send it to the events email? Do you have to plan out a way for your opponent to succeed in the event?
Should I get a ring of endurance? does it help while bashing?
To answer your first question: If you want one. To answer your second question: No. My Monk blows through Endurance pretty quickly (I have to burn through six to eight bars of Endurance just to gain a level at this point) but that gives me an opportunity to take a ~ten minute break, which you need if you're power-leveling.
Depending on your class, you'll get a lot more mileage out of a sip ring or SoA.
Ring of Endurance will help a little, but its usage is probably better measured in how much it reduces how long your down time/recovery is, i.e. waiting/sleeping for less time before getting back out there with full endurance. I have an Amulet of the Will and trans Philosophy for willpower regen. I still run out of willpower, but I get it all back in no time when I meditate for a little while.
A good cheap alternative for endurance recovery is the Dreamcatcher enchantment. If you are holding one, you recover health and endurance faster while sleeping.

I have a question about an item. The person I bought it from said they believed this came from the Shaman Guild, and another player who was in the Guild said they think it might have been also, but they can't remember for sure. Anyone else that was around for the Shaman Guild able to confirm or deny?
a ritual drum
Old forest maplewood, sanded smooth and coated with a clear lacquer, forms
the shell of this slim wooden drum. The hide of a prized Tomacula cow has been
processed, treated, dried and stretched across the rounded shell. The head of
the drum is secured with slender, strong leather ties that come neatly together
at the uppermost back and centre, allowing the drummer to hold the instrument in
one hand and gently play upon the soft hide with the other. The maple wood lends
a warm, even tone to the instrument whenever the drum is thrummed.
It weighs about 6 pounds.
Still wondering about this item if anyone is familiar with it.
Also, .... and somehow just lost my train of thought and forgot what my new question was. Oh well. I'll have to post it immediately next time I remember it. This isn't the first time I've forgotten to ask it.
Oh I remember now, but just bugged it. Was wondering if the denizen Amarisse was functioning properly, because we're instructed to submit letters to her by handing them to her in Delos if we have questions and what not, but she doesn't accept them from people who hunt Delos guards. Had a friend submit it for me instead, but no response and it has been a while... So are we supposed to use the messenger in Delos to correspond with her instead, or is this a problem that needs to be fixed?
On another note, Merentesh functions similary in New Thera at the Festivities Annex. If you hunt Delos guards he won't serve you. This is mostly apparent during the Logosmas season, and you have to get a friend to help you out if you want to take part in the Logosmas wares there.
If, as a class that doesn't have the shooting ability, I had previously purchased a bow and the shooting add on, then traded in the bow, would I need to pay for the shooting add on again if purchasing a new bow of the same level?
Tharos, the Announcer of Delos shouts, "It's near the end of the egghunt and I still haven't figured out how to pronounce Clean-dat-hoo."

Yes.
Ugh, didn't get back 2/3rd of that cost when I traded in the bow. Might as well save for the next level up then

Just checked, you did get the trade-in credit for the shooting upgrade!

My sincerest apologies, my mistake, mea culpa.

@Kayeil, I'm not 100% sure, but I do remember this item being associated with the Shamans in some way. Back when breaking into Hashan househalls was the easiest thing in the game.
Aurora says, "Tharvis, why are you always breaking things?!" Artemis says, "You are so high maintenance, Tharvis, gosh." Tecton says, "It's still your fault, Tharvis."
Are people still citing shrine defense within eastern reaches as a reasonable RP excuse to attack someone afterward?
I don't really wanna get jumped, but still wanna help defend and stuff
They shouldn't just gank you really, although to be honest if your in the group hitting the shrine then they hit defendable the logs are going to likely include you in the raid that gets bounties add to them, (Because I don't do shrine stuff as a bounty only org stuff) And if your name is still in the log for the group that does hit the city or defendable and you did not raid the city and I do file a bounty, feel free to message me and let me know you weren't there and i'll remove the bounty.
long story short. They shouldn't but who knows what people will do If you get a bounty on you mistakenly message me about it and i'll remove it (Prob after I make sure it was a mistake)

Also, totally agree with the equilibrium cost, and very happy to see that it has one in general (it hadn't been mentioned yet).
edit: Does this mean the eq time after traveling is now gone, or does that still occur?

Didn't test gigue or whatever.
If you want to run some sort of event, come up with the details and pass it on to some Divine. I'm not sure who, though.
