  • @Sena do you have any data on buckawns dirk, and unartied blackjack for bashing? Which would end up producing more dps. Not factoring in crits.
  • I don't know how much dirks do.

If you just want to know which does more, then go and hit something with each of them.

If you want dps: If one does 15% in 3 seconds and the other hits for 12% in 2 seconds then even if you don't know exact figures, you know one does 5% per second and the other does 6% per second.

Should be seriously simple to figure out.

  • How much lessons you get if you quit a class while embraced?
I have Cerebral Palsy, so it'll take me a bit to learn things so please try to be patient with me.

  • TharvisTharvis The Land of Beer and Chocolate!
    half of them?
Aurora says, "Tharvis, why are you always breaking things?!"
Artemis says, "You are so high maintenance, Tharvis, gosh."
Tecton says, "It's still your fault, Tharvis."

  • you still get half if you bought the no brainer deal?
I have Cerebral Palsy, so it'll take me a bit to learn things so please try to be patient with me.

  • If you spent them on class skills, you get half of them back, yes.
  • Class changes cost ~450c per change regardless of your prior purchases if you have no lessons already and quit to get half back.

Penwize has cowardly forfeited the challenge to mortal combat issued by Atalkez.

  • At the moment it's literally cheaper to just roll a new character with a new class, buy two no-brainer packages and grind it up to 70ish to fill in the gaps unless you have at least one non-class skill Transed on your original character.
  • Thinking of getting a mount - ideally would be arte pet, but that's a ways down the road due to the huge amount of credits to save up for it. In the meantime, can't decided between getting legendary steed and collaring/customising and getting shop of wonders pet and customising.

    Pros/Cons I can think of:
    - As on customising you have to keep the same base type, you have more options if you get legendary steed rather than the two or three mounts in shop of wonders.

    - Not sure if you can steedtrade/sell after you collar. If so you could sell bought and collared mount vs don't think you can trade SoW mount as it counts as an artefact (assuming so as other SoW items do). Probably never will, but would be good to have the option.

    - Both cost about the same: 250cr for collar, vs. 5 crowns for SoW. Don't care about the gold to buy the steed and customisation is the same cost.

Any significant point(s) I'm not thinking with?

You can't sell or steedtrade collared or SoW mounts. You're just stuck with them. Can't trade in the collar either.
What doesn't kill you gives you exp.

  • The only concern (other than price) is honestly whether you want a mount that flies or not.

I personally think most flying mounts look goofy (plus, destrier = <3), but if you want functionality, hard to beat some of the flying mounts out there.

306 if you still have the lesson conversion bonus of 8.5 per credit instead of 6, and 434 without.

And then that's only if you were tritrans before.

Saw "Diaspora" used again a minute ago. WTF is the Diaspora? No help scroll on it, used all over the place and I don't think it's the regular definition, which is:

    di·as·po·ra
    dīˈaspərə/
    noun
    noun: diaspora
    Jews living outside Israel.
    • the dispersion of the Jews beyond Israel.
    • the dispersion of any people from their original homeland.
Unless it's referring to Targossians as they came from Shallam (original homeland) and were dispersed for a while ...
    The Truths hurt. Always.
  • It's a clan for non-Targossian Devotion users so they can be taught what they need to know to not get excommunicated.

  • What is the normal ratio of time spent bashing to time spent recovering willpower/endurance? I noticed that using swiftcurse to hunt this morning, I managed to burn 10,000 willpower in ~30 minutes (thats all of it for me), which then took over 20 minutes to meditate back. Is this normal across classes, or am I bashing wrong?
  • Shamans have especially high willpower drain, possibly the worst class in that regard. Some classes can bash forever without having to stop and sleep/meditate.

It will get a lot better as you gain levels and get more willpower, and eventually learning philosophy (you shouldn't worry about that until at least trans curses/runelore, or tri-trans+survival if you want to get into combat) will make a huge difference.

Depends on what attacks and defenses you're using, really.  For example, Monks have pretty high (but not absurdly so) Endurance drain due to attacking three times per combo and some Willpower drain due to Regeneration if you use it.  Runewardens only have high Endurance drain if Fury is up, otherwise they can hunt for hours without Fitness or I think indefinitely with trans Fitness.

Jesters currently suffer pretty massive Endurance drain.

Knights can hunt for literally days with only 2-300 lessons in fitness, and not need to sleep. With trans fitness / philosophy, most classes can hunt for a substantially long time without needing to sleep/meditate.

Knights, Blademaster (in Mir/Arash), Bard use next to zero endurance while hunting, Knight is literally not noticeable at all without Fury up. Sentinel/Druid (druid has grove rain/harvest hive if they need to regen) as well, if they're not using reflexes. Only ones which really have very noticeable drains are Shaman, Sylvan, Magi and Monk. Unsure about Serpent with their changes.

  • I like that Shaman has a huge WP drain for swiftcurse in PVP, but if possible, I think their PVE Bleed should do a ton less.  It is absolutely bonkers how fast you kill WP.
  • As a followup question: is there a willpower equivalent to the dreamcatcher, or any other tricks to speed up recovery during meditation besides philosophy? If not, I feel like it's going to be a very, very long road to 100..
  • Uh, as a jester, I bash, and the only thing I ever run out of is potash/vitality and priestesses. Endurance doesn't move a bit, ever. If I lose anything its willpower from clotting against heavy bleeding mobs.. Not sure where you got your info on jester endurance drain from.

A megalith tattoo will recover some willpower for you, whether meditating or not. I don't remember the exact rate. There's an artefact called a Circlet (or Amulet) of the Will that increases your willpower regeneration from all sources; that's probably not something you want to look at getting until you're a fair bit farther along (all class skills transed, at least), but you might be able to borrow one occasionally. The Master Contemplator minor trait increases willpower regen while meditating. Alchemists have an ability that allows them to transfer some of their willpower to another player, so if you have any alchemist friends or citymates, you may be able to get some that way on occasion. Some Houses have endurance/willpower regeneration rooms, and I think they're available as room addons in personal houses, too, though I don't know how many people actually have them.

Uh, experience?  I guess if you hunt without relevant defenses up.
