@Jacen: Hrm... you fell for the stuttering illusion - that's pretty deadly. I would say that contributed a large part to dying so quickly. Personally, I don't bother autohealing stuttering at all, sometimes I don't heal it at all unless it's necessary (Raido, Duanathar, talking on PT, etc) and I cure it manually. You also didn't have mass up so you got abducted back in. I'm not sure what the timer was for the holocaust globe, but you can assume 10 seconds on that the majority of the time. Have a tempTimer or something to indicate when it's about to blow up, and try and leave the room at the exact time it's supposed to blow. Squint back in to see if it's gone off yet. The latter bit of advice only really works if you don't fall to the transfix and abduction though. I can't comment on much else though - I don't really know much about Monk offense on the giving side, only on the painful receiving end
Comparing orb sigil to empressing on city totem is lulzy at best.
Banishment 1v1 is OP in my view. None should be able to with little effort disable entire skillset of your opponent (hello bladefire). 4s eq loss can be huge disadvantage when your offence is momentum based.
My suggestion for fix (banishment) would be make minion not orbable + improve chaoscalm to last a bit longer - 2-3 minute. Chaoscalm doesn't prevent minion doing it's job, so no problem there.
Some specific classes are inherently better vs other specific classes. For example Priest vs Serpent, Occie vs monk etc. With this change Priest and Paladin would have an upper hand against occies, compared to other people who would rely on orbing. But this wouldn't be as big as lay rite/throw orb jinxing entire skillset. Paladin and Priest would have to target few ents every now and then.
This change would also leave raiding intact (other then doppleganger needing a few extra eq [banish/summon] before it can be used again, which is good thing [or could leave doppie chaoscalm time as it is now]). Banishment would still be useful for group, non good vs chaos conflicts can still use orbs etc.
Also delete pit Alternatively give ring of flying additional benefit of non-pitable effect. (pit opens up, your are pulled towards its gaping mouth, but the ring flies you out of harms way).
Honestly you have to lame and refuse to fight outdoors, star tarot really hurts as a monk. Kill the orb and bloodleech. If the soulmaster makes you touch tree so that they can dust bomb you, shield. If they insist on abusing the fact that pacts never run out in arena you go and abuse the fact that orb sigils don't run out in arena either, throw orb, punch punch. Sure a lot will miss but you'll get there.

It is beautiful, isn't it? I am glad I was able to pull that off rather than the 18 lunge strategy working. (which I still feel bad about, but I spent like 20 minutes prepping a disembowel and he was able to tumble over a stonewall and I made one of those faces and yelled something I should not repeat)
I only did that against Sicar when he was following me while bashing twice. It is not a very classy move, so it is more of a last resort kind of move when I am all >C.
Idk, it's like raiding against pit. I'd rather not spar someone who realizes it's effective than trust them not to use it. (ps: serpent still stupidly difficult for me, so that is a reason too)
