  • Have killed more allies testing than enemies so far.

    True love.

It's kind of commonplace in Hashan nowadays, to hear the phrase, "Krizal's at it again..." Totally just an innocent accident that you've died a 19th time today.
  • Farrah said:
"Whoops! I only did five max degeneration hits in a row, followed by a Mutilate. Didn't expect it to kill you."

"How did you die to 60 seconds of me whacking you with nausea, masochism, and depression?"

And my favorite: "Oops. I didn't mean to dictate you."

Killing me at Rally point seems to be a new favorite pastime for Targossians whose names begin with A.

    :(
If it makes you feel better I've killed Atalkez far more times testing DW than I have you.
  • It does. That scrub.
  • Time to move to Targossas
  • Targossian with a name that starts with "A" checking in.

I've never killed Farrah at Rally Point.

    I'll try harder.

There's a sure-fire way to stop accidental deaths when testing...

    Arena

Tharos, the Announcer of Delos shouts, "It's near the end of the egghunt and I still haven't figured out how to pronounce Clean-dat-hoo."
  • @Klendathu too much effort.

Also, I haven't killed Farrah yet while testing either. Clearly I'm doing something wrong.

    Arena

    It's The dang time limit

  • Aetolia introduced training rooms where you can't die (just auto-rezz with 0 xp loss), they're amazing. Having to run into the arena every time you want to test a potential kill route vs just having a buddy afk where they literally can't be killed during testing? Easy choice.

Only downside here is people hiding in them from someone with a bounty on them etc.

I need to hurry up and tri-trans before the party is over.

This would be amazing, and you could jyst not have it apply to city enemies/contracts/bounties/during a sanction
    Huh. Neat.

Change your avatar in Nexus is the only way, I think.

And you won't understand the cause of your grief...

...But you'll always follow the voices beneath.

  • so after about a month hiatus from achaea and coming back and being completely owned by Zulah in a duel, i worked on my offense a bit and decided to spar him again and the results were surprisingly pleasant. here is bard vs depthswalker

  • Feel like Bard, Serpent and Apostate should honestly have a field day versus DW, when they work out curing prios better. Slow prep classes also shouldn't have much trouble if they just turtle.

I also suffered some rather nasty aeon, which is why I asked for the rematch you denied me! Heh, well done though!

we should definitely do a tie breaker but maybe after I finally work on my limb prep.. it's always been my weakest aspect when it comes to combat in IRE.

Protip: Those three classes are affected by clumsiness and DW isn't.

Bard also has to deal with causality. Unless limb prepping, it should be at a disadvantage.

Something that should be rectified! Unnerf Apostate! Or nerf DW. Honestly it's incredibly hard to slow down a good DW that sticks clumsy on you (which they easily can), which forces shield spam or running (if no preempt). Then again maybe clumsy would be too harsh cause you'd lose your momentum with even a single miss. Then again again, this already happens to Bard, Apostate and shaman. Not so much Serp cause they always get at least one stab in, which is less demoralizing/infuriating than a double-fizzle. Fking clumsy. WTB anti-clumsy artie.

So. Does preempt knock you off a single movement balance or all available movement balances? Cause if it's only one, it seems pretty easy to counter.
    Huh. Neat.
  • I don't think it knocks off movement balance. It's my understanding that it knocks off balance balance, but only has a chance to do so.

If you're thinking you can just move multiple times at once though, like n;n, I'm pretty sure there isn't any kind of CD that prevents it from just following both movements.

You have to use an ability that moves multiple rooms in one move like bound, dash, duanathar, worm warp, etc. Or you can fly, as it doesn't follow into the air.
  • AhmetAhmet Wherever I wanna be
Oh, does preempt last past one movement? I was under the impression that after the first preempt you had to use the ability again. TIL.
    Huh. Neat.
  • Preempt lasts 15 seconds unboosted, 30 seconds boosted, regardless of amount of moves. Unless, as @Farrah said, they dash/gallop/fly/etc.
    Omor Ceberek - Targossas

    got gud
  • AhmetAhmet Wherever I wanna be
Does preempt respect the whole 'no force following into enemy territory' thing? Or is that not a thing and I'm just crazy? I could have sworn that was a thing, but now I'm questioning myself. Would suck if you got preempted into a totem.
    Huh. Neat.
