Mass toteming areas for the sake of griefing a group of people has always been frowned upon by the administration.
I did it once and 2-man owned Mhaldor for a couple RL months before the admins made me remove them all.
we have purposely kept toteming to UW to a) counter Aelios' implanting because everything has a counter (we don't need to complain on forums to find solutions ourselves) and b) create another avenue to start some conflict.
UW is a pretty 'fuck you' area, can easily be baited into a trap.
We will still implant defendable if the situation asks for it, but we can only defend it for the duration of the raid which is a reasonable expectation.
Definitely not going to put totems all over the mainland, that definitely is borderline griefy.
Does it need to exist? Probably not. But it does, and that's the only thing it really does, other than provide Tumble to midbies who don't have it in Survival (probably a very rare thing).
Sortof funny that somersault is a ridiculously good counter to retardation, being an ability only posessed by two of the classes that are already insanely good against retardation as is (bard has harmonics + ability to drop reverb + cube, jester is jester)
Grow the hell up, you're not a child. If your feelings are truly so hurt, then place me on ignore.
Crying for forum sympathy because I said a dirty word in a tell? Seriously?
Uhh - couple of things:
1 - At no point did I respond to any of your tells with anything other than respect.
2 - I posted it on forums because it was legit amusing to me, and I wanted to share with other people.
3 - I am not a child, I am an adult and act appropriately when I interact with people. I don't have a habit of telling people to "eat a dick" as it were.
4 - I really have no issue with you, every log I have of our interactions, it is always you complaining or bemoaning something either mechanically or no.
5 - Please, please, please, learn how to interact with others and take a look at how you treat other people before you wonder why "everything is an insult" to you.
Penwize has cowardly forfeited the challenge to mortal combat issued by Atalkez.
Broken leg(s), can't bypass parry, and meaningless anyways, for reasons I've explained elsewhere multipe times (short version: accounting for the time it takes to break legs, we get about 3-4 seconds of on-balance hindrance from even a double leg break. A single leg break is enough time for a SINGLE attack before stand/evade (note that we still don't have an attack that can actually prevent the evade). Also can't build momentum prior to the leg breaks, since without the leg breaks, you can't build momentum.
Prone, stand/evade is instant. seriously?
Sleeping, priest cannot sleep lock, see above
Hamstring, are you suggesting that I hamstring someone as a priest?
Flying, are you suggesting that I fly in order to chase someone who evaded west/east/etc? Angel Beckon 1) bleeds momentum, 2) doesn't take balance from target, 3) evade takes balance and thus prevents beckon

Target leg, break it/Angel Push = # 1 and 2 Walk east/Heal insomnia/Snipe Delph is also instant and priests try it ALL the time. No, you can fight in the air, believe it or not, and then they won't be able to evade! Angel Beckon might hit while they are off bal, it might not. Either you're going to beckon them in, or you're going to attempt to and fail and you're right where you were before so....try it? lol
@Atalkez not going to forum battle you, because since I already said the D-word, so not only do I have the entire standard Ashtan/Mhaldor clique automatically disagreeing with everything I say, but I also have the sensitive feelings / PC police gunning for me too, because I used a cuss word in a private conversation (which you felt the need to throw onto forums).

Willing to discuss this maturely if you're willing to stop ending every post with 'lol'.
It's possible to slowly prep a double limb break through static leg parry, but as I explained in my previous related post, even a double leg break only buys 3-4 seconds (2 attacks) of hindrance (much less without artie mace/nimble). This isn't enough for any kill method to work, period. You also cannot precede the double leg break with momentum, since the double leg break is required to build the momentum in the first place, because of evade.
Using heal insomnia/delph (why would use use an arrow when you can jab...) is a thing of the past thanks to angel push, however what's the point? You prone someone that can then instantly stand. What good does this do, at all? (rhetorical question - it doesn't do any good at all)
No BM is going to fight in the air. That'd just be stupid. (about as equally stupid as a runewarden volunteering to fight on water, if not moreso)
Angel beckon is worth trying but it rarely if ever works. I frequently do try this, since it's just about the only thing you can do try to try to get them back in your room. Even if it does work, I think we can figure out what's going to instantly happen. That's right. Evade. Same goes for cleansing/strip + brazier. ____
I'm honestly open to suggestions, as it's possible albeit unlikely that there's something out there I'm not aware of available to stop Evade, however I've spoken to every active priest combatant (@Tesha, @Ruca, @Linus, @Goggo) and they all say the same thing. You can't. At all. The only method that appears to work at all is using metagamey psychology to prevent people from running/evading after every legslash, which is exactly what I was doing in your log, @Atalkez.
Can we all agree that it's silly for a prep class to have Evade and move on? Priest does suffer against Evade. If you claim otherwise you're being obtuse for the sake of arguing itself. None of the things Kross listed even come close to being a counter against Evading. That's fine if the priest is fighting a serpent, it's one of the major benefits of the ability. It isn't fine against Blademasters.
I've already emailed a detailed description of the problem to Mak and Tecton, along with a long list of viable and balanced suggestions for fixes (the main one being: remove evade from BM).
going do drop it at this point, and hope it gets fixed.
it is really important to understand that this isn't just a priest problem. There are only a few classes in the game that have viable counters to BM prep (knights, monk, BM)
I'm confused. You looped paralyse/impatience, at times even when he had impatience stuck. You weren't going for an affliction based lock, so I'm assuming you were trying to damage him out. Then why were you jabbing curare and singing impatience when going for damage? Plus you never used accentato.
Jabbing curare slows their offence, if it sticks it's happy days and move on to the next venom.
Some tweaking needed for my aff tracking, I seem to be missing impatience sticking
Pesante to undeaf so voicecraft has an effect, or stun.
Quarter of the way down the log: You weave strands of melodies over your blade, tunesmithing it with the power of the accentato.
Post-script: new bard, relative newbie to combat, learning as I go, but thanks for your input, any criticism or comment is welcome (and I did win, too)

But Bm is -never- going to lose evade, It's one of the main abilities of blademaster, and yes it's strong against classes that's entire hindering is based around things like piety/gravehands.
Evade could use a nerf with the removal of lunge from knights imo, such as afflictions stopping you from being able to evade.
I mean sure if im fighting an Alchemist, Priest occultist necormancer I've got to really work to get out of that rng most of the time, Hell I found tumbling out typically works faster than just trying to run out my self.
Other wise I've bearly even noticed a difference between evade and just walking other than the fact I don't hit walls, Sure it doesn't show an exit when I leave but walking out flying and running away does practically the same thing.
Lunge and Jpk if you wait for them to attack you can just run away before they will even get balance back to lunge/jpk anyways.
I think the problem your having isn't against evade and more along the lines of priest is so entirely room based.
but as soon as knight changes hit, when Knights can actually bypass parry and double break limbs. Rite of piety/gravehands on a prep class is going to blow evade on a prep class out the window.
I think the problem your having isn't against evade and more along the lines of priest is so entirely room based.
This.
The vast majority of my spars have been against Magi, Priests and Paladins, all who depend on me being in their vibes or rites. But being a Runewarden, I have options to force them out of vibes/rites or at least make being there unpleasant via Thurisaz. Piety's not terribly hard to get out of as long as I'm not panicked and I won't get beckoned if I drop a monolith. Shit's easy for me.
I haven't fought enough (competent) BMs to comment on whether their shit is stupid OP or whatever, but I can see Priests and Paladins being pissed off that 30-50% of their skills don't help them all that much against classes that can elect to either fight out of the room or leave at their leisure.

Yeah meant it as advice. You used pesante a lot when you could have used accentato so watch for the calamine/hawthorn eats and use pesante only when you must to maximise damage for that offense style. The stun isn't too useful. Now that you fixed the impatience tracking that should be better, but maybe try other venom and song combos to get some sensitive accentatos or accentatos with more mentals stuck or w/e.

Why does everything have to be a damn insult. I am trying to help you.
You asked for the counter to Inquisition, I directly answered it with 3 things that completely shut it down:
1) Shield spam (is fine for 10 second inquisition, not 20 or 30)
2) Evade (100% unstoppable and can't chase you)
3) Manage mana correctly
What more do you want?
By telling me to eat a dick?

I lol'd at the "taught you how to slow prep" part. That was the lulz worthy for forum post.
