Mysterious Silver Egg: This precious little egg has strange magical properties. When you BREAK EGG you will receive a boost to a random damage source (cutting/blunt/fire/cold/electrical/magical/poison). You can also utilize this upon another with BREAK EGG OVER <person>.

Mysterious Golden Egg: Like the Silver Egg, this egg once broken will give a boost to a damage source (cutting/blunt/fire/electrical/cold/magical/poison). With the Golden Egg you may specify the damage type with BREAK EGG <cutting/blunt/magical/fire/electrical/cold/poison> You can also utilize this upon another with BREAK EGG OVER <person> <damage type>.

Wedding bells: With these lovely ornaments you have been gifted with the right to bind two people in marriage (following all the per-requests of engagement)! You may only enact such a ceremony once per achaean month.

Carriage (this one made me giggle): Ever wanted a prestigious carriage to escort you around the land like the noble you are? Here is your chance! Purchase this carriage that you may BOARD. Once Aboard you can tell your fine coachman to escort you to any of the LANDMARKS listed via WALKTO. Note that you may only board a carriage upon a Highway road, as anything else is ill-fitting for its uses.

I would rock a carriage. I'd be tempted to get it just for the sake of RP.
And I love too                                                                          Be still, my indelible friend
That love soon might end                                                         You are unbreaking
And be known in its aching                                                      Though quaking
Shown in this shaking                                                             Though crazy
Lately of my wasteland, baby                                                 That's just wasteland, baby

Have to remember these items arent suppose to assist in combat, but generally have a fun wonderous theme to them. I doubt such an item like this would even be made an artefact since it would become a "requirement to be a top combatant".
Obviously, someone has forgotten about the Sceptre of Aqueous Mastery and the Feather of permanent levitation. Some SOW items have definitely been combat-geared, they were just so good that we have to hope they'll never be offered again, and the existing ones are the only ones we'll ever have to deal with.

Not really a new item, but I was told today that the scents in the perfume bottles couldn't be customised. If that's true, that's a real shame, as I was thinking about getting one but most definitely won't if it's only the existing choices. If it could be possible to customise, I'm sure more people would buy it!

I think it's worth getting for adding some additional flavour. It's sad about the lack of customisation though.
I'm absolutely crazy for matching stationery and the like.

    Perfume:
As you open the letter to read, you catch a waft of a feminine rose scent, layered with a sandalwood,
     chamomile and lilacs blend.

That's not Jurixe at all, unfortunately, and for something like this if it doesn't match I'd just rather not get it at all.

Sceptre of Aqueous Mastery was much more  for utility and offered very little in conceptual combat. It gave the user the ability to Part Water like a Priest, this more for flavor than anything else. It also gave the user the ability to flood a room, which in itself does no damage nor enhances any effects, especially since everyone and their grandmother has waterwalking. No, I do not think the ability to flood a room can be considered a combat enhancement compared to the Houseglass which would remove an affliction (a powerful affliction at that, one the Occultist class depends on to boot). It simply would never happen :P.

The feather also just gave permanent levitation, another small defense that does not change the face of achaean combat.

Please double check my numbers if you have reason to do so.

Last I heard, custom perfume is like 1k or 2k credits. Custom letters is unlikely 1k, and probably 2k credits.

    You can get these customised.

I would totally pay any amount of crowns or credits even, to be able to send mail from my own house.

I have two emails that say you can't.

EDIT: The perfume/cologne bottles, that is.

Flooding gives grooks an absurd health/mana regen, something that was originally only suppose to be for magi (since they were the ones that could flood). Flooding also prevents runelore which is a big buff when fighting runewardens and shamans whether it be 1v1 or raids. When in a flooded room you can remove your waterwalking boots and prevent yourself from being beckoned as well, which is another huge buff behind them. Parting is a huge thing because it lets you nullify the floods of others. Also if I recall correctly you can only raise a shrine in a water room if it has been parted, so by making parting a non-faction ability it gave non-Good orders the ability to raise shrines in places they might otherwise not have been able to place them.

As a general rule shop of wonders artefacts aren't suppose to carry heavy pk weight, obviously there have been some exceptions.

Some more fun! Come on guys come up with ideas too ^.^.

Skeleton Key: You can use this key to lock/unlock any doors owned by you, rather than holding a whole set of keys.

Multicolored Paintbrush: With this paintbrush you can  write graffiti like a Jester! Simply SCRAWL <color> <text>

  • "Doors owned by you" makes no sense. If you own the door, it's a magical lock and you have permissions on it. Otherwise, you use a physical key.
  • And Serpentine Keyrings already offer a fairly cheap way to organise and consolidate your keys.

I'm kind of surprised that something that gives non-runies the ability to make weapon stat runes permanent hasn't been offered, whether that be through SOW or as a regular artie.  It seems like such an obvious choice (although I'm sure many runewardens would have plenty to say about it).  If so many of the good serpent abilities can be turned into artefacts (much to their consternation) why not some of ours?  I have no intention of ever switching from runewarden, and this certainly wouldn't benefit me, but I'm a little surprised it hasn't happened.  It seems like it would balance out some of the weapon stat concerns at least a little, too, since we wouldn't be so especially well-suited to take advantage of uber weapons with one or two weak stats, although who knows what's in the fix that's coming.  Maybe it's all sorted.
  • Bring back Terrin'ukia's Monocle so that people who are too young to have had the chance of buying it can get their hands on it..
  • I love my monocle.  It's been requested a lot and doesn't provoke concern/discussion about combat applications, so hopefully you'll get your chance.

Just some ideas I had for the Shop of Wonders. I generally feel the Shop of Wonders has a gimmicky and toy-fun theme to it so I put that into consideration.

    5 mc
Delivery Pigeon: With this helpful bird, you may send letters from wherever you are, no longer requiring those pesky postal stations.

4 mc (assuming strippable, non-perm levitation)
Pixie Dust: Upon using, will give you permanent(?) levitation for a time, as well as special QL and entrance/exit message of you floating. Consumed on use, until reset. This should be improved to favor 'custom levitation' and avoid combat benefit. Like a special artie feather tattoo.

    5 mc
Silent Veil: While wearing this veil, your deaths will be hidden from the populace. (This can be bitter-sweet, but seems alright)

    2 mc
Dew Drop: This magical drop of water may be used to enhance the plant growth in a room, much like a druid enacting the Fertility Rite. Consumed on use, will reset.

    8 mc
Weather Staff (my personal favorite): With this staff in hand you may summon a rainstorm to quench any fires within the room. It will also put out flames and wash away stink upon any unlucky victims in the room.

    2 mc
Pet Collar: Ever wanted your adorable Crated Pet to be even more special? Now you can! By wearing this Collar your pet would be taught little adorable tricks it may do. You may tell it to SIT, DANCE, LAY DOWN, and even PLAY DEAD! (Just SAY TO <pet> "command")

    1 mc
Painters Kit: With this Kit you may paint the portrait of whomever you wish in the room, so long as they remain standing still for a time. Once done you would have a lovely portrait of the individual that you could HANG within a home if you choose.

    Priced.
I like my steak like I like my Magic cards: mythic rare.
  • I'm sure there are quite a few people that would pay 8+ mc for the ability to paint others. Also pretty sure delivery pigeons (or something mechanically the same) has been requested and denied before.

                   Party right, party hard,

                                            Sing and dance, perfect bard.

                                                                     Prefarar loop, accentato whore,

Buy a new rapier, get nerfed some more.

  • @Iocun what are you disagreeing with? Thanks for your feedback!
"Trust in me, Universe, I will deliver / the promise that no-one shall ever / set their mind to games or play / for Serious Order is the way. I will not rest until it is done; / rules will be made for everyone. / They will know Order and its graces - and just like me, all shall be Greyfaces." - The Heroes of Sapience, Act 5, Greyface.
  • Uh, I actually don't know. Either I don't remember, or I accidentally clicked on the disagree icon. Removed the disagree again.

Shamans can rune weapons too, not just Runewardens and there are plenty of folk around willing to do it just for the inks provided.

Runes are a temporary buff or enhancement, the same as blessings, shields and other defs. Conveniently, Runelore uses get the benefit of a skill that increases the duration.

If you want better permanent stats, invest in artifact weapons or forge your own and pay for augmentations. I'm really against handing out class skills to non class people. Achaea is slowly evolving into a multiclass game and it's taking away the uniqueness which originally attracted me. There's supposed to be pros and cons to all the classes.

In other news, I really want a delivery pigeon. I have an alt that lives on Meropis that has to walk all the way back to Cyrene just to use the closest post office. It would be great, even if you could only use it once an Achaean day or something.
(D.M.A.): Cooper says, "Kyrra is either the most innocent person in the world, or the girl who uses the most innuendo seemingly unintentionally but really on purpose."

  • @Kyrra: A post office on Meropis is planned, or at least listed.

Bone tattoo needle - 2 mc
Doubles (maybe not double, but some charge boost) the charges of any tattoo the owner inks
Uses one less (chosen randomly) ink necessary
Speeds the inking process up by 15%

    Tattoos aren't done with needles.
  • Yes, but doing it with a needle or the chisel type object used in tribal tattoos would make it last longer, thus more charges.
