Admittedly, from my biased standpoint, I will be sad if the "new Templar" isn't a "Knight House". I want the best for Shallam and all, but the concept of the Knight Houses often opposing one another, but looking at each other as brothers in arms, is one of the cooler relationships between orgs in the game.

@Aerek definitely. And if there's three houses, I think there is room for a knight house... if not, at least pull off what Hashan has tried to do with the KoH, and have a clan for knighting, just do it properly please. :P
I remember when Knighting used to mean something. Everyone is a Sir and Dame these days :P

It does mean something. Usually IRL months of dedication and work. Getting to knighthood, and hr5 in the Maldaathi at least is far more work than any house I have been in before, and we take it very seriously. No, not everyone is a Sir or Dame (or Lady) these days, but the ones who do make it tend to stand out. Trey is the only person who has reached knighthood since I've been in the guild (16 years IG) and as far as I know, he was the first in a long time. While I cannot speak for the other knight guilds/groups, I sure hope it isn't that easy there.
*, if the title comes with the person currently residing in a knight house.
The KoH requirements weren't particularly easy either, though I was basically the only one actually working towards them seriously there, and I doubt that's changed. Only two Sir Knights in Hashan that I know of anyway. I reckon if you leave the org that has bestowed that title on you, you should forfeit it. Maybe this is more of a problem in other cities?

I got knighted as both a Paladin/Templar and then again as a Maldaathi, and I have forfeited the title each time I left that particular house. I agree with this, because leaving the house is the same as leaving that old life behind. No, you cannot have your cake and eat it too. I still dont like it when people try and call me Sir.
I always saw Knights as sworn to serve X as part of knighting ceremony and once they leave X they basically serve nobody *shrug* it is the Houseless thing that bothers me.
Sure they earned it in the first place but everytime I see a Houseless Sir/Dame, I think "You're a Knight of what?? Great...." I might as well go around wearing the title Marquise because I'd earned that city rank despite leaving Cyrene.
Anyways, with knight classes being in the refugees, I imagine there will be some sort of Knight house to continue on from the Templars. It'd be weird not having the devo based house to offset the image of the Wardens and Maldaathi. Plus the knighting ceremonies would have to be epic given the glimpse of ritual and event logs that get posted.

Lmao @ Ashtani horde logging in to defend Hashan. That's wasn't boats/beds, that was pure Skype!
Didn't see a thing on Skype and you guys are just as guilty of doing this. We hit New Hope and all of a sudden Sothantos, Silas and a few others pop up out of nowhere.
@Aktillum I don't like it anymore than you do when Ashtan defends Hashan. But I gotta say, who cares if skype had anything to do with it. It really doesn't matter, and everyone does it. Just, no one wants to admit it!

I have nothing to add to the people logging in (it is totally okay with me, I like when you log in!) but that picture of a baby is the most adorable thing I have seen today. And I saw my cat sneeze.

Regarding a Knight House for Good, it really depends on the charters. We haven't really heard back from the submissions, at WORST I'll put in a request to turn the current templar clan into a high clan and every knight is grandfathered in and accept paladins and runies in the future.
The Templars were the most functional house in Shallam when it all went under. Active officers, active novices, healthy bank accounts. Was only missing the active patron part but that was an issue for all the Shallamese houses.
Just speaking from personal experience, it kind of sucks being the HL and now clan leader and not being able to give any specifics of future plans at the moment (mostly because there's no updates to report to begin with).

@Cooper Ashtani housed in Hashani houses are defending for obvious reasons. Babel's order is officially allied with Ourania, Hashan's patron.
