Can't you swing staff/clamp? I haven't played Druid basically since Hydra morph was introduced.
The problem is against tumblers who like to run, breaking both legs would solve a lot of problems. However, if you static parry one leg, I feel like I'm left to (clamp/staff the other leg to break it, then clamp the parried leg) x 3. Of course, this is stopped completely if you just switch your parry after the break.
Frustratingggggg

Is Alchemist eq-based or balance-based or both? Trying to determine which traits I should pick. Also, does it rely on any particular stat, like intelligence?

I think Iron was really the only ability that benefited from a stat. It used intelligence.
Alchemist should get quick-witted for bashing (your only bashing ability uses eq), and nimble for PvP (for wrack and truewrack). Int won't make a big difference for PvP, but you'll want some for bashing.
Keep in mind I haven't actually tested today's alchemist changes, but it looks like this should still be true.
I think every transmutation-related ability ignores balance modifiers, so nimble won't help you with your tradeskill even though it all uses balance.
@Lilian I never considered Bard to be interesting to me in anyway shape or form.... but looking at your log, it looks kind of fun. I might have to go Bard one day. I however don't know what would stop SAP, so I'm sorry I can't help you out with that.

I took no mana loss from sap..
Also bard is really fun! However don't use that log as an example, I messed up left and right. She just messed up worse. (Like I was trying to force her to apply reconstructive instead of restoration..and for whatever reason force restore wasn't going off.)
edit: but I diiiid focus and not use mana, she says she didn't use spirit rack so I shouldn't of had recklessness..plus I never cure it at any point in the fight, and there are a few places where I DO lose mana a bit after..I'm so confused unless I regened enough mana thanks to Wassail. I did it, I found the recklessness cure! I should not be doing this while tired.
It would be easier to say if you posted the full log, it seems unlikely you regenerated all of sap and all of 250 mana from focusing a fraction of a second later so recklessness is the logical assumption

yeah, it just took me awhile to find the cure line. I shove all my herb eatting lines into chat grabber so I had to find the outr command from SVO. (Also my first focus cured disruption instead of recklessness.) and I had removed the log cause it sounded like Kittia was just looking at the wrong attack.
Caoimhaen drops to the floor and sweeps his legs round at you.
Caoimhaen knocks your legs out from under you and sends you sprawling to the floor.
Caoimhaen balls up one fist and hammerfists you.
He connects to the left leg!
Your left leg is greatly damaged from the beating.
Caoimhaen balls up one fist and hammerfists you.
He connects to the right leg!
Your right leg is greatly damaged from the beating.
Any tips on what I can/should do in this situation as a serpent? Got prepped with roundhouse kick and didn't have much opportunity to do anything about it. Got bbt'd/axk'd before I could stand and died.
What if it isn't a duel and I just come upon someone when hunting and have to fight? Should I just start throwing up icewalls at the start of every engagement?

Man these changes are making forum by phone not even worth it.
Penwize has cowardly forfeited the challenge to mortal combat issued by Atalkez.
You should have icewalls set up before he sets you up/breaks you. Tip is to walk or evade out and then set up the icewall so he doesn't get a free prep combo on you while you're recovering equilibrium. That room should also have a monolith down in it so he can't mind travel. The second you get broken start a tumble, don't wait for a bbt or until you're in the danger zone. Once you know you are set up or think you are close to set up, don't let your health drop low. If you're at 75% life and they are on balance you might die to an axekick before you tumble out. Evade behind the wall to heal up. If they spend the time to destroy icewalls then just leave or lock them asap.

Or just keep them hypno'd with Disrupt, and then snap it when they break legs and tumble away!!!

This makes druid the fastest and easiest way to prep one limb, but they lack dual breaks like monks, and dual venoms like knights.
It balances out well enough.

NEvermind, the priest who was sparring me mixed up her own attack lines, she just hardly ever sapped.

icewalls and tumble is your best bet otherwise get 50 mules is a solid tactic.

One of the symptoms of an approaching nervous breakdown is the belief that one's work is terribly important
This is harder than it sounds, sometimes. Took me 4 days to get 25, and Proficy killed them all (then me) in one fight.
you gotta win before he does.

The most important thing now is bringing lots of buckets of water to a fight with a monk.
