Was there an unannounced change/did I miss the announcement of a change to jab/command entity? I've noticed occultists who I know have been using jab/command in the past switching back to instill in logs recently.
@Dunn I figured you were using instill the other day because Jarrod was there dstabbing curare/whatever.
Maybe Jinsun decided forged dagger wasn't (enough of) an advantage. My totally meaningless feeling was that I cured worse than previously against him when he switched from instill to curare jabs though.
I hope it's not just dragoncurse impatience and slike on a restoration apply.
@Antonious I don't know if you noticed this from his fights with you (like, as opposed to anything not knight/bard/sentinel), but if that's the case it's likely he just got bored of trying to jab against permanent clumsiness. Makes sense to toggle between instill/jab based on clumsy and rebound.
It was a log of Mithridates vs Jinsun, possibly a few others. I can understand not trying to jab against rebounding and clumsiness but that didn't seem to be the case.
Battleaxes are amazing if you track health well, and know that your target is in kill range. With a set of max damage battleaxes, you can get insane returns, at the cost of a really slow balance recovery. But for a killing blow, it's a good move.
I don't like axes, because I had a 3s balance time. DPS was less from my testing.
Scimitars are ok, but you're still sacrificing speed for little more damage, but again does less DPS than rapiers.
As a Knight, you're mainly going to need to hinder them long enough to prep limbs, which means doing both of those as quick as possible. Hence why rapiers are the go-to weapon.

Yeah, 99% of the time, axes are pointless (and will get you impaled a lot, too), but I'm just saying it's nice to have a pair when you know that your axe DSL does 2,400 damage, and their HP is at 2,300.
people might not shield at 2500 health, but they will -definitely- shield at sub-1000. This is why battleaxe DSL (or even rapier/battleaxe RSL) can be a winning move if used correctly. It's not about DPS, it's about the derivative, or "spike" damage.
If I have 60 ~ 70 fasions, but no way to get them inside to prevent flying, or at least force them to tumble into an indoor room, what can I do? Im having quite a bit of trouble going against serpent's evade, and I end up wasting stacks when they simply just tumble out of everything. I'm probably doing something wrong, but any general input?
You can cancel tumbles by forcing your opponent to walk in the direction they started tumbling in, using puppet command. I'm assuming you mean they are tumbling over icewalls or something, otherwise it wouldn't really hider you much, in that case try to proactively destroy their defensive walls if you can! Also your class is really good for knocking your unwary opponents off EQ for long periods of time, preventing tumbling (and evade for that matter). There's more to do against it but those are the most simple starting points I suppose.
^^ As Mithridates posted above me, having them asleep when the tumble is supposed to go through will prevent them from tumbling. Get creative!
For serpent I riftlock then throw an aeon then a puppet slow. But evade man, ugh. Tower tarot and icewalls aren't a problem for them. Then if they can fly I have to cripple.
And force sleep immediately when they tumble, or the second they're about to leave room? Can stunning accomplish this?
And honestly @Dartega I have the most trouble against serpent. I dont know how to safely change my curing priorities without messing anything up. So I'm lucky if I can even get 40+ stacks without getting locked eventually.

You also have to see if target has rebounding. I switch to instill if rebounding is up.
Dform is fun bro. Can lock people and sich. @Anedhel you were a great test case.

Use tentacle (unsure on balance time but mostly see people just fly again before balance regain) to bring them back down.
Use fly (mount) to follow, again I know it has a substantial balance cost.
Fly (ring) as the cost of ownership vs balance and ability to continue the fight and pressure your opponent.
