From what I have seen, all limb damage classes, including monks, fight without rebounding for fear of wasting preps. They rather run than take that chance with rebounding.
Really? okay what I am doing wrong in SVO? Do I have to set some sort of special curing strategy against this class which moves my defense priorities around? I am getting locked by shaman in about 11 seconds.
I tried keeping curseward up but I literally had no equlibrium for like 12 seconds straight and I couldn't really do anything. So I took curseward off of keepup and I get overloaded and locked. Literally the only thing that works is like leaving the room in under 6-7 seconds with a 60 percent chance of paralysis being stuck on me and preventing me from leaving during those 6-7 seconds.
Edit: okay he didn't just use curses. He also used a weapon envenom with slickness.
I think I turned fitness off of keepup too as some other knight was abusing that on me, and then I forgot to turn fitness back on when I went against the shaman. But I have fitness turned on when I do vconfig. I have focus turned on in SVO as well. I shouldn't have to manually focus or even worry about doing that.
Keeping curseward up is generally a bad idea, unless you're afk and won't be doing anything else anyways. Particularly since you also want to be able to diagnose against shamans. Curseward is better to use manually at strategic points.
Yeah. Use it like you would use shield. Experience will tell you when it is time to turtle up. Diagnose often as blight can catch you off guard VERY quickly.
-- I have 370 credits; which is enough to trans riding, then buy a collar for a legendary mount (I have 300k in gold, so can buy a mount). However, I am already up to block in riding, and a mule to mountjump/block is pretty good so far for me.
Besides that, though, I can only see buying a lyre or level 1 sip ring. (Though I'll have to save more) Anyone have any ideas?
Ring of flying is pretty amazing as a defensive artefact; obviously limited purely to outdoors rooms, and possibly less of a need to buy if you have access to flying already (though it's still considerably faster, which makes a bit of a difference). Sip ring or health regen are always solid choices.
Hrm, mounts are nice, but if it's no invincible pet, it's going to die all the time. Sip ring is always decent, but that's above the 370 mark too. Trans riding won't hurt if you're teaming with necromancers, or learn some avoidance, or save up for buckawn's or sip ring.
Assuming Magi abilities aren't hampered by mounts, the SoW collared mounts are a great buy, especially for trample in retard (still waiting for ground equine LS steed though ).
Sip ring is a wonderful, wonderful thing, even if not that "exciting" in terms of buys. My level 2 just makes me squee. Also what @Tesha said - avoidance is a -fantastic- investment, and you can't go wrong with it, pvp or pve wise. Once you get a sip ring, the bracelets/belt are nice for a boost in survivability.
(For some reason I thought you had buckawns. Web whore incoming!)
Edit: Overusage of the word investment.

I'd put sip ring above pretty much everything. Except like Lupine bow.
Because I'm not in a pansy class.
I don't get it.
