I went from 0 bleed to 6k in like 30 seconds. I looked through my logs and did my best to adjust, but aside from not using anything that uses mana other than clot, I'm not sure what else to do. I don't particularly want to run constantly until my fluid levels come back down, but I don't want to bleed for 6k again.

0 to 6000 in 30 seconds sounds like an exaggeration. If they're using a salt homunculus you can kill it, if they're using vitrification stop using balance if your bleeding gets high. I've never had a problem tanking the bleed if I wasn't spamming attacks and killing myself with vitrification.
Alchemist bleed is very momentum-based. If you let it ramp up too much it's probably too late, but if you deal with it before it becomes a problem, they really can't do anything with it.
While sanguine is tempered, your bleeding increases by a percentage (~25% if I remember right) of your current bleeding on every bleed tick. Once the bleeding gets too high, it will be increasing too fast to easily clot it away, but it shouldn't be too hard to prevent the bleeding from building up very high in the first place.
Since the recent rework of the traits, the minor traits are really mostly a matter of taste and what suits your character or makes your life more convenient. There aren't really any "must have" minor traits. I would suggest just looking through the list for things that are relevant to activities you participate in, or that seem like they would make a noticeable difference to you. If you find yourself running out of endurance, maybe consider Fully Fit; if you find yourself frustrated with how fast your tattoos fade, maybe look at Meticulous Care. Generally, just look for things that suit your character and playstyle.
@Sidonia: This was the first time I've sparred or fought really anyone since Alchemist was introduced. I'm a little bit rusty, but it was about between 30 seconds and a minute of me spamming attacks and getting a tempered humour. Thank you for the info though.
Thank you to everyone else, too.

What does more damage Bm blade (without a band) or Sentinel's Jaguar maul?
With reflexes, maul beats unbanded drawslash in Thyr/Mir/Doya, but drawslash is better than maul in Sanya/Arash/unstanced. Without reflexes, drawslash beats maul in any stance.
Edit: That's if you're asking about damage per second. If you just mean the damage of the attack, ignoring speed, then maul is 500 damage while drawslash in Arash (the strongest stance) is 496.

Arash huh? I thought it was Thyr but anyway thanks you and I have no reflexes sooo I guess I need to make some.

"Reflexes" isn't referring to triggers here, it's an ability in metamorphosis (available in jaguar, so if you have maul then you have reflexes) that greatly speeds up balance recovery.

Arash does the most damage (and damage per second, since it's also quite
fast), but you take significantly more damage in it, so it's rarely
used while hunting. Up until a couple months ago, when drawslash damage
on denizens was unaffected by stance, Thyr was the best damage per second (about the same as Arash). Since that bugfix, Arash is the highest (but dangerous for hunting), followed by Sanya.
Asthma to prevent smoking, anorexia to prevent eating, slickness to prevent applying salves, draining mana to the point that they can't focus (substitute for impatience), paralysis, and optionally weariness depending on the class.
@Lyrin: The artefact version (Bracers of Frost) is about 3.9 seconds without an Aldar diadem/talisman, and about 3.3 seconds with. I'd assume the elementalism ability is the same.
Alright I am not a sentinel and I was wondering what can I get that speeds up balance recovery faster if I don't have the Jaguar morph yet? I also want to know should I get the +1 to constitution trait? (I'm a raja)
