Not same but similar. After being very invested in and then disillusioned with Starmourn I really wanted to find somewhere to go for my RP and grindy needs. I really didn't expect Achaea in general, or Hashan in particular, to stick at all but so far I'm really enjoying myself.
5 years ago and guilds existing don't match. Guilds have been gone more like 15 years.
Well, whatever it was. Honestly I can't get collaborated answers on when I last played, I did ask around fairly often when I first came back, because I don't have a good gauge. Five years was a general suggestion. I was in the Occultists, and I thought that was a Guild. I may have been wrong, and I thank you for pointing that out. I guess it was just a House or something.
@Dominika I wish I knew why you decided to retire. A word, or anything really, would have been nice. Thank you for being my friend and interacting with me. I always enjoyed it, regardless. Take care, wherever you go.
The ghost ship is awesome! Not sure it's completely new from the last versions, as I never experienced those (that I can remember), but this was great. I especially liked the puzzles.
Though I wonder if @Ictinus had something to do with the one with the crystals. Was a similar one in Avalon I remember with a fireplace and a box of rocks.
Was a wonderful time, especially the surprise shanty.
While many of you might not know what the recent Ashtani Nemesian Vanguard Bounty is, I thought the time that @Morthif and others put into it was admirable. It enabled many of our younger members to learn the different machinations of inter-faction conflict, rewarding them for partaking at any level.
In short- it was really cool.
The Divine voice of Twilight echoes in your head, "See that it is. I espy a tithe of potential in your mortal soul, Astarod Blackstone. Let us hope that it flourishes and does not falter as so many do."
Aegis, God of War says, "You are dismissed from My demense, Astarod. Go forth and fight well. Bleed fiercely, and climb the purpose you have sought to chase for."
After all these years playing Achaea, I finally got a city position, and it’s one that I love. It’s been a rough start trying to sort through confusion (please don’t hate me @Sothantos and all our lovely shopkeepers), but I promise to get everything figured out and flowing smoothly soon!
You guys in Targ are proving to be some of the best players in the game. Thanks for being so patient and fun!
Give us -real- shop logs! Not another misinterpretation of features we ask for, turned into something that either doesn't help at all, or doesn't remotely resemble what we wanted to begin with.
Thanks!
Current position of some of the playerbase, instead of expressing a desire to fix problems:
Vhaynna: "Honest question - if you don't like Achaea or the current admin, why do you even bother playing?"
One of the downsides to wanting to do everything is that you inevitably try to do everything, or start to try to do everything, only to realise that you cannot, in fact, do everything. This is doubly an issue when you're trying to run events which involve coordination of other people and, well, people in general, because then you also have to worry about whether people will respond favourably to your stuff and if everything will come together.
It really means a lot to me (and I'm sure other content creators) to see or hear about other people getting excited about/for stuff that we've been working on and offering to help/help spread the word/just participate full stop. That keeps us going and helps reinvigorate our spirits and drive to create whenever we hit a block or just wonder if it's worth doing any of this.
Just wanted to let you guys know it's appreciated, sincerely.

I don't usually post to the forums but it's rare that a game can evoke a genuinely sentimental response that takes you back a decade in time to a point in your life that someone online was exactly the kind of friend you needed, exactly when you needed them.
Pandora gives a faded ring of pestilence to you.
Forged from gleaming black onyx and set with roughened emeralds absent lustre, whatever enchantment once prevailed upon this ebon ring is long-since gone. Dents and imperfections mar the band's surface, yet even where the misshapen jewellery begins to twist out of its once circular form an elegant beauty lingers in spite of the signs showing wear and tear alike. Engraved with impressive detail upon the dark stone is a single, small image: an unremarkable mhun man skipping behind a rajamala woman along a trail of golden sovereigns spanning the length of the loop. It has 150 months of usefulness left. It weighs 1 ounce(s). It bears the distinctive mark of Bood.
I had the most exhilarating little ship, well not really battle, but moment on the sea. It was a lot of fun and made my often time one note sea trip very exciting. Thanks @Artanis for your part, and @Shoju for showing me how to work through it.
Finally realised why I was suggested a megalith tattoo...
Lyndee steps in, leaning in to peer at the boy's body. When Orin turns him over, the Lord
straightens up suddenly.
Zackery exhales in exasperation. She grasps her right hand in her left, perhaps too tightly, and a
slight 'crunch' is heard along with a glimmer of emeralds that seems to fall to the floor. She
quickly pushes it away with the tip of her stiletto heel.
Ryx says in a deep voice, "Thank you for the bundle, Charen."
Alasiel pushes her way toward Tahquil, slipping a folded note of fine parchment into her hands.
Lyndee says in an unnaturally deep voice, "That is a backstab!"
Tahquil stays where she is, unwilling to get close to the poor boy's body as she clutches her own
hand nervously watching the others.
Lyndee peers at the wound, then nods with certainty.
Stheno frowns faintly.
Heldurk briefly glances toward the boy as he maintains a vigilant pose behind Rackham.
With a grimace, Keorin steps forward to inspect the corpse herself, eying the wound, before rising
back to her feet.
Lyndee says in an unnaturally deep voice, "This is the work of a Serpentlord."
Lyndee says seethingly in an unnaturally deep voice, "Skulking about, waiting until an innocent
boy's back is turned, and then..."
Ellodin watches the flurry of activity around the corpse with interest.
You ask Alasiel in a low, silken voice, "You found a note! What does it say?"
Zackery pleasantly asks Tahquil in a lilting voice, "You seem awfully nervous, Princess. Are you
quite alright?"
Stheno says to Lyndee in a firm voice, "That seems a strange conclusion to draw. Any man can wield a
dagger and surprise a small boy to overpower him."
Zackery tilts her head slightly with feigned concern.
Ryx says in a deep voice, "There was a handkerchief on his body."
Alasiel says to Tahquil, "This note. He was supposed to be meeting someone."
Ryx says in a deep voice, "It contains gold, and is embroidered with the letter 'c'."
Ryx drops a yellow handkerchief tied into a bundle.
Ryx rifles through a young boy's body's pockets, but comes up empty-handed.
Jocindi says to Alasiel, "You tried to hide it! Passing it to the Princess in secret!"
I had so much fun seeing everyone playing their character. Many did exceptionally well and came up with conclusions even I hadn't thought of. Sincere kudos to you guys for rolling with everything and helping us create a very entertaining scene. I'm not going to tag, but you know who you are.
Thanks to @ellodin for your writing help and behind-the-scenes work! Thank you to @Pandora for giving it the extra touch it needed to make it extra special. And to the Someones who watched, I hope you enjoyed it too!
I'm sorry we weren't able to open this to the public but I didn't want to put our players under too much pressure to emote in front of a crowd, and there was a lot going on already. The audience would have to be silent and just sit there for two hours and I didn't think most people would enjoy that. There will probably be a full log somewhere in the future so it would be easier to just read that.
We'll definitely build on what we learned today and improve for future events. But to be honest right now I'm just glad it's over haha!

Darrod was sitting at the Den doing some paperwork and Sevet (npc) walked in. Bought the Priest a drink, struck up a conversation, and had a great chat about things they were working on and had done in the past. Never had the opportunity to do something like that before with an NPC and I absolutely loved it.
@Stheno ended up stopping by and chatted with us too. Was so much fun!
Recently released a little riddle for Hashan with a credit reward. Didnt realize how much fun it would be and rewarding to see so many trying to figure it out.
@Jurixe and @Ellodin. Sorry for taking a few days to post but the Murder at the parade was a lot of fun if not a bit nerve wracking! It was an honour to take part and thank you to the other players as well.
Special thanks to @Alasiel for their stellar support and to @Siduri.. best front stabber.

Appreciate the efforts of you guys making my stuff happen!
Penwize has cowardly forfeited the challenge to mortal combat issued by Atalkez.

Special shoutout to @Tahquil for inviting me to be her follower!
